    It is to be noted by every scientist and magician that The Ac’talaran Public Laboratory is soon to be in construction in the ruins of Ac’talareh and that lab space, and perhaps resources, are available for reservation. In order to reserve space for yourself, simply contact the one known by the name “Cyrus”, the Lab Manager ((or reply to this thread)). Lab space will be allotted according to the logical amount of space needed to perform a certain study, the usefulness of the study, and, at times, the urgency of the study. Upon requesting space, one will be expected to adhere to the Lab Rules of Conduct, lest their lab space be reassigned and their living body be donated to The Matron’s studies. Do note that upon consideration, a letter will be sent directly to the person making the request.

Lab Rules of Conduct

 

I. Do not cause any form of injury to any sentient being within lab space unless the being gives full (sober) consent to giving their bodies to the study.

 

II. The reanimation of corpses will receive a smack on the hand. The lab manager doesn't mind, but The Matron will be mad.

 

III. Do not copy research from others without their (sober) consent, unless your name is written in with the research group.

 

IV. Ruining, tampering, or otherwise touching research that is not yours will result in non-consensually taking part in The Matron’s studies.

 

V. A copy of every study must be submitted to the Lab Manager to be stored in a vault as backup, in case something tragic were to happen to all of your documentation.

*Project Idea: Well, Nienna and friends, I don't exactly work on any specific PROJECT, as my interests vary from time to time. However, you have all seen my work from VonSchlichtenCo in my former exhibitation in your observatory. You know what I am capable of; though I am a Doctor-Cleric by trade, I still like to work on Scientific projects as a hobby. Basically, though, some of the things I work on in my spare time include

--Researching an Alchemical Acid (I am planning a project to try to replicate the Acid of the Now-Extinct Arbourid species.)

--Clockwork trinkets (Ex: Clockwork-wound Crossbows & watches that tell not only the hour and minute, but the season, year, and Lunar Phase as well. These are secondary projects; I work on them rarely.)

--VonSchlichtenCo. Image Presser R&D

--Mobile Fluid Dispenser (For use mainly in fire control)

*Amount of Lab Space Requested: Well, Let's see... I'd like a moderate sized room, perhaps 6x6 meters, with a desk to work at and a shelf to keep alchemical and scientific substances, as well as store smaller trinkets. I request the room be this large as some of my contraptions can get rather big and bulky sometimes.

Possible Resources Requested: Access to the Delver's stores of mechanical equipment and Alchemical Ingredient Storehouse.

*Why This Project Should be Considered: The Delvers know very well that some of my theories and ideas for projects are not only amazingly advanced, but awestrikingly useful. You've seen the VonSchlichtenCo inventions from my old Exhibition and from Von Hill; I worked on MANY of those projects, and have a very good understanding on how to develop them. If given the scientific community I'd need to develop these projects, which I am unable to find in Gallmore, I believe many of my ideas could become realities. Collegues are what I need to make these projects possible. So please, Nienna, my dear old friend, give me a chance at this.

Additional Members Involved in This Project: Any collegues (Delver, Gallmorian, or otherwise) whom I deem would contribute to my projects' developments.

NOTE: I don't work on my projects full-time. I have an island and a family to take care of, as well as fend off Creatires of the Darkness down in Gallmore's underdarks. However, things have gotten somewhat slow, and a nice little research lab-space to use to work on my projects would prove to benefit both of us, I believe.

*Amount of Lab Space Requested: Not too big, not to small, a desk, a table, some dissecting tools, some notepads and quills, and all the rocks you can find, rare ones, and different ones ofcourse.

Possible Resources Requested: Stated above, all rocks you can find, preferably some of each type, rare ones included, though they can be singular.

*Project Idea: The study of Alchemy and Botany.

*Amount of Lab Space Requested: Minimal. A simple desk and counter would suffice if allowed.

Possible Resources Requested: Anything Alchemy-related that could be of use for learning. Though with botany, I'll be traveling around Anthos to find the plants needed to study. Also helping with the research in the field of Alchemy.

*Why This Project Should be Considered: To gain an understanding in Alchemy and Botany. I also have an interest with the medical field. In which, learning Alchemy would aid that much more in such a situation.

Additional Members Involved in This Project: No one by choice. though if someone would like to learn more on the studies I wish to take up, they may as long as they fully understand the rules of the Public Laboratory. As well as if someone wishes to aid in teaching, they would be allowed to do so as it would be greatly appreciated. :D
