Z'ress sits at her favorite spot. The roof of the new barracks by the main gates. Her eyes dulled as she thinks deeply. The needle in her hand moving carefully as she works on a new item. A bone fragment, no bigger than her pinkie, was all she had left. Her mother had passed on during a battle with an antagonist spawn, and Z'ress had nothing to remember her by other than the crypt Khel had made for her. The recent events made her shiver. She holds the leather tightly in her hands as she lets herself remember.
 
Her eyes slowly open as she sees movement below. Her father, her sister. Family that lived and she could keep. However, her hatred for HIM only grew. He stole her mother's ashes from the crypt, attacked her. She did her best to protect all she had left of her mother, did her best to defend him. Blood begins to drip from her finger as she pierces it with the needle. Slowly she looks down and pries it from her finger, still amazed that she could not feel it.
 
"Haelun." she mutters. No, he would pay. He had taken her Haelun. Called her a monster. Her mother deserved respect. In Z'ress's eyes, her mother was perfect. She growls fiercely as Khel moves around in the square. He knew nothing. Z'ress had made a promise. As she finished stitching the bone fragment to the leather strap, she stands. Her head is kept high as she attaches it to her neck creating her own necklace in a sense.
 
Her mother would always be with her. She glares down at the people moving back and forth. The elves ignorant in the crimes that happen. No. Z'ress will make HIM pay. She will hurt HIM. Her father and sister can believe what they will, Z'ress knew better. Touching her noes and frowning at the dried blood. she releases another growl. She believed she could trust him. She knew better. She picks up her paper and drops it to the elves below.

Azoth stands underneath his favorite tree across the square, his eyes firmly locked upon the child. Oh, how much faith he still had in her. It was crazy, to say the least. Why should he believe in any such child, especially a Dark Elven one?

 

Azoth notes the necklace with a soft smile. Oh, how she looked like her mother so. Azoth had only met the woman a few times, but had met her enough to have the imprint of her dazzling appearance imprinted upon his brain. She had the body of a seductress and the eyes of a killer. Perhaps that was the feature that caught Azoth's attention when he first met Z'ress. She was a killer, like her mother, even if she did not know it then.

Azoth's shoulders slouch slightly at the word, his eyes sunken in slightly. His hand grips into a tight fist as he mutters softly, "I know better than most, kid..."

Umi the Giant Panda Pads around the streets, unable to find Z'ress for a short while. He begins to crawl up to his favorite spot, seeing Z'ress there. He crawls up to her, lying down next to her. He falls asleep shortly after.

Buubztik skips nonchalantly around Malinor, and after getting bored of being Godzilla for a while, he asks Z'ress why she looks so glum. After having it explained to him, he skips off again, unable to relate; his mother had left before he was born.
