Thump. Thump thump.

Tremors struck the city of Luminaire. Deep within the ground

roots took hold. Within moments the ground erupted into a

battlefield of grass. Grass so large it might be mistaken for

a common tree.

Throughout the week stalks of the giant flora continued to

sprout and seemingly flourish. The side-effects of the

suddenly rampant growth soon become known.

All life was drained from the earth around the stalks.

Regular plants shriveled and died, leaving behind

nothing but loose dirt and dried up roots.

Worried Mali swung axes, poured salted water,

communed and beset the stalks hopeful of

returning life to the forest floor around them.

An unfortunate sight brought to those who tried.

For every felled stalk another simply took it's place.

Time after time the stalks regrew, almost if by

magic.

Soon after the emergence something was spotted.

Something floating, glistening in the sun above the

marketplace.

A green gem gleaming in the sun, pulsating with a dull

green light hovered above the watchers.

Until the stalks can be vanquished for good the

Mali are truly

Among Ants.

((OOC))

Green Gem:

Unaffected by magic/physical attacks besides enchanting.

Extremely hot to the touch.

Cannot be moved via telekinesis or other physical means.

Stalks:

If you cut one down another grows near instantly so don't

actually tear down the wool.

They won't stop growing/sucking the life until their source is destroyed.

*Cough cough* the gem.

Cannot be reproduced/no seeds.

Verden casually hides his giant sunflower seed in his satchel and backs away slowly,

"Don't look at me! These aren't mine!"

((How do they react if a druid tries to control them, and what would a druid be able to sense from them with communion?))
