... Dodging air... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Anyways, here's a question: what do conjured air elementals look like? Invisible or like some dust surrounding their outline?

EDIT: Yeah I know this isn't conjugation but it is air ego...

You aren't conjuring dust, you're conjuring air, and only air, when performing Air Evocation. meaning it's invisible unless you pick up dust somehow with it from the real world.

Element...als? I worry what that a-l-s might mean.

Evoked air is invisible because it is just air. Over some distance it may push leaves or pickup some dust and become slightly better seen, or the evocationist can use a few tricks to make it visible. But their are no elementals in any magic type.

Conjuration and Evocation put together could do some intriguing things. But conjuration requires an in-depth study of existing things in order to conjure them. So you cannot conjure fictional beasts. Element"als" are a highly unlikely thing to exist.

If you are a trained conjurationist and evocationist you can summon elementals

What they will look like is up to you. Though it is probably easier if the elemental takes the shape of an animal that you have studied.

Question, BnK and Elindor if you could answer.

If you are trapped behind an arcane shield of energy over your body, then use air evocation pressing against the 'shield' would the air rebound off it, then go behind rebounding again on a repeated basis empowering the 'air' to become more stronger and if enough time and energy is used with these rebounds of air once the 'shield' breaks it would create a shock-wave of air spraying around in a AOE effect. Would this happen like this?

If it were a bubble? You would probably suffocate yourself.

In the event you don't you probably wouldn't create a shockwave. The rebounding air would not continue to build momentum. It would reflect off the shield causing pressure to the casted bubble and eventually either run out of mana or break the bubble causing a gust of air albeit that gust would not be any stronger than the spell being cast on the shield nor would the shield empower the air.

That would just be a waste of energy and damaging to yourself instead of another person. You would be better off just hitting them with one powerful hit.

Of note for all evocation types: the caster is not immune to their magic. A pyromancer will still burn themselves if they are foolish. A worker of winds can still cause grievous bodily harm from excessive air pressure, as would be the case in a bubble if one were to repeatedly force air against the barrier.

Elindor, it's the key to getting that perfect wind-blown hair.

If someone threw a spear or shot an arrow at an adequate air evocationist, would the be able to possible knock it off its path or stop it?

Spears and arrows are very fast things. I very much doubt an adequate air evocationist would be able to blow it enough off course that the projectile would miss. This, of course, is in correlation to how far the projectile was when thrown, how strong it was thrown, when the evocationist noticed the projectile, etc etc. Main thing to understand is that, if the evocationist already had a small wind blowing in the correct direction /before/ the projectile was sent towards them, perhaps they would fare a better chance of diverting its course. Of course, I suggest you get an answer from an air evocationist, as I am just applying logic here. Hope I helped :)
