What time-zone do you live in?: - ADT (Atlantic Daylight Time)

Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: - Nope. Always wanted to play d&d but still haven't found right group of friends to play with. I'm an amateur writer and enjoy the idea of roleplaying.

Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: - No.

How did you hear about us?: - Reddit map post

What do you think the server will be like? - Hopefully a place where I can immerse my interest in fiction into a group of committed people who can bring interesting lore to life.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Indeed.

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - I will note two rules that I find to be the source of my intrigue in the server. Firstly to stay in character at all times. Secondly to not break any of the lore. I hope to create a voice for my character and follow within the lore accordingly. 

Definitions

What is roleplaying?: - Acting within a certain character, wether fictional or not, to bring ones real time actions and choices to a story which is then altered by said choices. 

What’s metagaming?: - The taboo of bridging the gap between the game world and real life, metagaming in this case is guiding ones character in the game world through the use of out of world information. 

What’s powergaming?: - From my understanding, it is the idea of reaching maximum potential with a character in the game without regard for story or in this case the lore. Personally speaking I would describe it as an arrogance to create the perfect character without the detrimental traits of a character.

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

What’s your character called?: - Vorlar Taiborn

What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Human, Northerner

What sex are they?: - Male

How old are they?: - 33

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): -  Vorlar Taiborn was 10 years old when the disasters in Asulon struck. His family lived in Arethor, his father a man of medicine and his mother a mid wife. They both perished in a collapsing building but Arethors uncle Sleon took him on his personal fishing boat to escape. Sleons wife, son, and new son Vorlar landed on the shores of what is now known as Abresi. Sleon was a fisherman by trade and found home on the northern borders. Vorlar was a quite kid who found fascination with the world around him. He grew close with his brother Tank who taught him the skills of a northerner, but was always drawn at heart to intellectuals. He left home again at the age of 25 and has been wondering the realm ever since. 

What are they like (personality)?: - Curious, Adventurous, intelligent, enjoys a game of wits.

What are their ambitions?: - In recent years he has yearned to understand the politics of the different communities. He still has much to cover in the world however and spends most of his time abroad writing about his adventures. 

Do they have any special skills?: - He is totally aware of his surroundings and therefor blends in as desired, making himself aware when he wants, and disappears otherwise. He is useless with most weapons, but holds a true aim with a bow.

What are their weaknesses?: - comparatively weak, he stands very little chance of survival when it comes to a straight up fight. 

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - He stands 6 feet tall. Weighing a mere 160 pounds of muscle, he pales in comparison to most of his northern brethren. He has a mild case of heterochromia and appears to have one light grey eye and one emerald green eye. He has medium length black hair which is never groomed and appears wild. He wears clothes that help him fit in and remain unrecognized with his environment.

Anything else you want to say about them?: - He has spent many years travelling and writing, and still has many left in him. However he feels the seed of boredom growing inside him and what nature cannot supply he finds himself seeking challenges from his fellow man.
