The trees cried in a shrill wind as white hair was flung around by the air, red eyes staring to the sky, a tattooed face shadowed by the clouds that screamed it was going to rain.  A large black dog growled at the weather before moving forwards, a dark elf in a blue and silver dress following the large hound as they searched for shelter.  Hundreds of miles away from her home Yfandas had waded rivers, walked over hills, and crossed a desert to end up where she was, all because she wanted to take a walk.  However that walk had gotten her lost, yet again.

It had been half a year since Yfandas had seen even one face, no one was here, this land, was abandoned, with only wild animals to inhabit it.  Mountain lions had saw the pair and shyed away, not having seen or smelled anything like a dark elf or a wardog.

Yfandas would reach out and wrap her fingers into the wardogs fur, her hair falling over her shoulder and revealing the mark of a bird, a birth mark that marked her as a flormai, she bore a mark of the Drake family around her neck and a tattoo of the Oussana family on her lower back, her dress covered it.

Tattoos covered her arms, her stomach and some under her eyes, all delicate and flowing.  However Yfandas had realized something.  Though she was of three families, she was yet of none.

The Flormai had given up their chase of having her join, the Drake that had nearly adopted her had died, by suicide.  And the Oussana father that had taken her, had given up on her it seemed.  Constantly wording his statements, to remind her that she was not of his blood.

Her white hair flew up with another wind gust, red eyes closing to keep the dirt out from her eyes as she suddenly felt cold drops fall onto her, as it began to rain.  She sighed again, her dress starting to get wet as she began to run with the huge dog, towards a cave that was in front of them.  They would eventually find their way home it often went like this, but only one person seemed to miss her.

Tyrnal, she felt bad for leaving him constantly like this, he was her first real kiss, and her first love.  Though she had never told him that.  Her delicate cheeks flushed red as she thought of Tyrnal and she huffed as she entered the cave, sitting down and glancing around, some sticks lay around inside from a previous creature living there.  Yfandas gathered up as many sticks as she could before taking out a flint and steel and striking them together until she created a small flame.

Her delicate body was illuminated by the fire, the lean muscles, the tiny body, she was no fighter, in fact she was more a book worm than naught, not liking to get in fights.  However she had a horrid sense of direction, and that's how she ended up here.

The wind howled outside of the cave as she leaned close to the fire, watching it dance inf ront of her, and bowing her head to pray to the aspects she had learned about in the years of learning from the druids.  She had never finished, having gotten lost over and over again.  She doubted any really remembered her.

A small smirk played across her lips as she remembered the harmless fun she had when she was a dedicant, missing the feeling of belonging she had there.

Then she remembered something much darker, a day she wished hadn't just crossed her mind, as she was drawn back through the years, to where she was curled in a corner, holding onto a white doberman puppy, hand over its mouth to keep it quiet as she silently sobbed.  Screams could be heard as men ran into her house, she recalled how she had gotten in that spot.  Her father had come running into the house, grabbed her from her mothers arms and shoved her into the closet.  She had looked up at him as he pressed her puppy against her.  "Say not a word Yfandas."  He had whispered, before shutting the door.  "Whatever happens, do not make a sound, do not come out."  And with that he left her in there.

Soon she understood why, there was shouting, her mother screamed, she could hear pottery being broken and the sound of a chair being split.  She sobbed into the dogs fur as they both trembled.  Then there was the sickening sound of metal against flesh, even more screams, and a bit of blood trickled under the door.  However the people never entered the room, as though they knew what was in that small closet, she could hear them checking the rest of the house, and someone had walked in front of the door.

Snickering could be heard as the footsteps moved away and muttering sounded,  before silence.  After a few hours Yfandas opened the door only to see first on the wall, the words written in blood  "NEVER FORGET."  When her eyes traveled down she saw her parents, laying there, cut to pieces and mutilated.

Yfandas had fallen to her knees and started to wail, still young at the time, she hadn't left the house for days, despite the smell, until someone came and found her, curled up against a dog, she was scrawny, and that day she had sworn she would never forget, however she wouldn't take vengance, she didn't have it in her to kill someone.

Yfandas shook her head as she snapped out of her trance, putting some more sticks on the fire and slipping down so she was pressed against the large dog, shivering slightly as she fell asleep on the hard floor.  Eventually....she would find her way back to the elven city, though sometimes she wished to just stay lost.  No one would really miss her....
