A Bloodied Park.

Bloodied heads and entrails surrounded the once peaceful tree of the housing district. Only a small, weathered note is left behind.

Magnus blinks. "Oh my...."

The Dove Druid's teeth clench as she looks over the scene. Anger empowers her to act, and she digs through her satchel to find some white cloth. After throwing the cloth over the first head and attempting to lift it up, she realizes they are nailed down. Her eyes flash a pale green. The bark and wood around the nails widen, and the severed head comes away easily. The small holes in the trunk grow over soon after, and the druid sets to work burying the heads nearby.

 

"I apologize for this treatment..." she says as she lays the heads in the ground. "May the Aspects watch your souls."

 

With that finished and her clothes spotted in blood, the druid returns to the tree and looks to the gore-covered lamp with a cringe. She waves her hand, and one of the hanging branches sways and knocks the entrails into the grass. They land with a splattering plop. The druid sighs and scoops up the mess, burying it in a separate hole afterward. She takes out another bit of cloth and dips it in the nearby stream, then gets on her hands and knees and scrubs away the blood that remains on the tree trunk. Finally, she washes off the blood that has now stained her hands, and leans against the birch tree. She closes her eyes and whispers to it solemnly.

 

"I will not let them defile you."
