Average Metamancy User Metaplay has existed for as long as the realms of Teamspeakium and Discordium have existed, blurring the lines between worlds and offering glimpses into wisdoms otherwise unattainable. The first Metamancers found their power in the channels of Discoridum where the Sky Gods spoke and brought the wisdom down to use for themselves. Chaos came upon them with the discovery of the mystical Server Logs, the great books where every action of man was recorded and kept sacred. This forced the Metamancers into secrecy, which in turn led to more clever ways to use their spells. Now, most are ridiculed and reviled, but the practice has been in use so long that many have found the bravery and lack of wit to use their spells without the shame it deserves. A group of Tier 5 Metamancers Metamancy is a magic which allows the practitioner to glimpse in the mystical world of Discordium, the realm of the Sky Gods. This ability allows the user to see things others cannot, allowing for an elevated experience for themself and bringing all other’s experiences down significantly. ✦ Metamancy occupies all 5 magic slots, but all spells can be used as often as wished. How it feels connecting to Metamancy Tier 1 Card Reading A Metamancer may gain basic information of another player character without roleplay interaction via character card. Location Expert Through means of Discordium or anything else, a Metamancer can locate anyone and anything without acknowledgement from who or what they are locating. Dominion Ascension When information is not specified to be not allowed, it is not off the table for the Metamancer. Same with a special boost of strength, endurance, and overall abilities in whatever situation. Baby Brain When a group of Metamancers discuss another player/player character in the calls or groups of Discordium and make choices to exclude them or make their time difficult in game play for fun or their own benefit. Tier 2 Location Expert (Expanded) When a Metamancer casts Location Expert, they may have the chance to call upon their fellow Metamancers for coordinations to whatever it is they are locating Retroactive Canon A Metamancer may decide to change or create new history without discussion with anyone else. This can include a complete skip over of lore required events to progress in another MA, FA, ect.. Discordium Alert The use of sending messages through the Discordium to gain new insight and information on anything discussed. Free Flying The use of external help to see into places and further than one normally could (free cam). Cloutmancy When a Metamancer shares their posts from the Forums to both friends and strangers to gain an unearned good reputation. Tier 3 Location Expert (Fight version) Using Discordium or any other means to show up and participate in a fight of any size that would be otherwise unknown to your player-character. Deep Diver To know details of another player-characters lore without the need of interaction first. Discordium Divination Through the use of Discordium magic streams, a Metamancery may use a Location Expert spell. Selective Compliance A Metamancer may use both a Retroactive Canon and a Dominion Ascension spell to push past the downsides of a magic, feat, or creature listed in lores. Tier 4 Location Expert (Pursuit of Teacher Version) To use the Forums to find a teacher of a magic, feat, etc., and use the Discordium or another means to ask to be taught. Combat Vanish To channel a ‘log’ to escape and survive a combat situation when the odds are stacked against the Metamancer Tier 5 Location Expert (Pursuit of Teacher Version, Expanded) To use the Forums to find a teacher of a magic, feat, etc., and use the Discordium or another means to find them and harass in-character to be taught without prior discourse with them specifically in the Discordium. Dominion Ascension (Expanded) To use the powers of Dominion Ascension without the downside of divine punishment. Get out of jail free To channel the divine of the Forums to lift the punishment of a Ban and integrate back into society. Redlines: Tier Progression All tiers may be moved through at whatever pace the caster wants to, but the more that are used and the more often they are used, the faster the player and player-character lose likeability and IQ points. Eloise hadn't been the best sister to Theodosia. She had been around about as much as her father had: not much. It didn't help that most of her youth was spent angry that Theo wouldn't open up.
