  1. "A remarkable figure of humanity!" stated the busy d'Arkent, as she signed a donation paper.
  2. "AVE ORENIA" the youngest of the d'Arkent siblings proclaims as she watches the parade.
  3. THE MARNANTINE HALL We, the constituents, proclaim the founding of our charity organisation dubbed the Marnantine Hall. Let it be known far and wide, from the most northern freezing edges of the Empire to the most southern ones who’s embrace is of warmth. Our grasp is similar to the latter, we embrace the destitute and attend to their needs. All those who reside in the Holy Orenian Empire or seek to settle are under our purview and we are bound to assist. Our foundation shall bear the name of Joseph Marna, whose rights are the core of our state. Yet what Right to Life are you afforded, if you sleep on the streets and wonder when your next meal would come? No more, for we, the Marnantines shall shelter the homeless, feed the starving, cure the sick, employ the unemployed and enfold the impoverished subjects of the Crown with solicitude. Signed, Chairman Johanna d’Arkent Signed, the Marnantine Committee
  4. Philip nodded appreciatively to his Majesty's desire. "Our sacred institution disappoints as servants of Iblees guide, but we are the flock of GOD and must endure these arduous times. Our Emperor, attests that he is truly successor of the Crown of Exalted Godfrey through his actions and we must seek the divinity vested in his rein.''
  5. THE DISSOLUTION OF SAVOYÉZZO As we age our knowledge enriches and we have come to the conclusion that games must cease, for we are past the times of such and must face the challenge of maturing. When we announced the formation of our realm, we did not realise the pettiness of our actions. Yet we are proud of our deeds, as we have shown exemplary behaviour and interest in the adults’ duties. Our state did not subsist for long, but it did enough that we learnt much. We, the Crown of Savoyézzo, proclaim the disbandment of our realm and it’s peerages respectively. SIGNED, Her Highness, Princess Carolina Luisa of Savoy His Highness, Prince Lucien Auréle of Savoy Her Highness, Princess Vivienne Anastasie of Savoy Her Highness, Princess Renata Adelina of Savoy Her Highness, Princess Amélie Lucinde of Savoy
  6. The informal Princess Royal of Savoy mumbled to herself, alienated as she witnessed the bride's family. "Seems like Stefaniya is the only one with manners!"
  7. The eldest of the princesses of Savoy attentively perused the writing, smiling at which upon seeing herself as fashion icon.
  8. THE FORGOTTEN HELANES 1853 The Helane Twins’ Voyage, circa 1853 The Pruvian Caravel docked at the harbour and in no time passengers jumped from the ship onto the wharf. Amidst the voyagers was the aging priest of Provins, whose hands held those of two little boys. They pushed to the coast, where his attendants awaited them. In a quick gesture and welcome, the group began their advance towards Philip’s estate. Before sunset they had encroached their destination and the twins were afforded their own room, soon in which they were dazing-off. The past Viscount rested on a chair in front of his desk, combining the letters given to him, which were testament of the twins’ descent. ANTONIUS CAROLUS HELANE, born on the 5th of Godfrey’s Triumph in 1845. PHILIPPUS CLEMENS HELANE, born on the 5th of Godfrey’s Triumph in 1845. Sons of the Aeldinic exiles hailing from the line of Hannibal Helane, in correspondence between their ancestors comes the attestation of their descent. SIGNED, Fr. Philip Pruvia, Viscount-Emeritus of Provins
  9. "My daughter, she fought?" The aging priest perked his brow. "Ave Orenia!"
  10. "My precious rubies!" The father of the writers exclaimed to himself.
  11. To Presbyter Ileana, in response to her letter. I'm most warmed by your welcome, the reasons of my quick departure are many, yet the one which mostly affected me was the Emperor's calling. He and his advisors sent letters to me, they craved for my return, even though I openly stood against the Imperial Administration and threw insults at. In similarity, I stood against the High Pontiff, but his response was silence. Your letters are of no significance for me, for my wish is to converse with the Vicar of God. Yet he hides behind his inner circle of priests. You use Canon Law as protection of your non-existent evidence, but as Priest of the Canon, I believe that my eyes should witness such proof. So if it exists, please do share it with the Clergy. The same codex that you hide yourself behind, prohibited your gender from being ordained for centuries. After all the Holy Scrolls are the only divine texts and any interpretation may be false. The High Pontiff is the one who has placed the anathema by his own consideration, we cannot be sure whether it's just or not. The possibility of dethroning the Pontifex shows that his Holiness is not invariably righteous and flawless. He is the Vicar of God, but not God himself. The nature of his office is divine, yet he is not. You ask the Emperor to abdicate his titles, but if he hasn't sinned or committed crime, why would he? If you were virtuous and crimeless, would you give up your station if asked? Signed, Father Philip of Provins
  12. TO THE CANONIST FLOCK 1853 Disunity, the fruit of the unrighteous anathema upon the successors of Horen. Our most virtuous Crown has been accused of murder and conspiration with an Azdrazi, but we ask the Pontiff of ours, where is your evidence, your Holiness? Or is this your unjust reasoning to split brothers and permit them to wage war between themselves? We witness the ignorance and carelessness of our Church, which simply refuses to negotiate with their Imperial Majesties. To reject somebody from the flock and to not cooperate with him in his cleansing of sins, you are no continuation of Evaristus and Clement. And there in our Holy Scrolls it is written. “I name you pontifex, for you are a builder of bridges.” (Gospel 6:61). So, Everard VI… Why have you failed yourself and Godan, and most importantly the sacred mission? And you, Fidei Defensor! Your flock is endangered by the Ireheats and Urguan, yet you ally yourself with them. You have broken your vow, which you swore in front of Godan. You, much like your conspirator, the High Pontiff have failed in your divine duties. In numerous bestowments of your title, it is said that you are obliged to defend the Canonist Church and it’s faithful, and to defend any Canonist Lord from infidel invasion. Yet you have only shown aggression towards us and our Crown. You, Pontifex Maximus, where are you? Why haven’t you responded even to your priests’ letters? Your tardiness and absence neglects our Church. No human is perfect and each one of us may have sinned, even the Prophets have, but Godan forgave them and showed them the virtuous path. So now, do as he did and abolish the anathema upon the Crown of Orenia! Signed, Father Philip of Provins
  13. The Pruvian Reform Act, 1852 We, the City Assembly of New Providence hereby pass these amendments, acts and laws by the legislative powers granted to us, by the Crown of Orenia through our Charter. I. The Lord Mayor may not hold the office of Alderman. II. The Deputy Lord Mayor may not hold the office of Alderman. III. The City Clerk may not hold the office of Alderman. IV. The Magistrate may not hold the office of Alderman. V. The presiding officer of the City Assembly shall be the Magistrate. Signed, Alderman, DE LA BALTAS Alderwoman, DE SARKOZY Alderman, DRASKOVIC Alderman, GALBRAITH Alderman, PRUVIA
  14. "Arrivederci, pape!" A petite voiced called to her father, hands bashfully folded behind the back.
  15. The senior Pruvia of Aeldin closed his book and listened to his attendant's news, simply nodding and resuming his study.
  16. THE PRINCELY STUDIES As the days fly one by one, my wisdom and knowledge progresses briskly. Subsequently I find it appropriate to present those to my family and tutors, to prove my success and ableness. For knowledge is bliss and ignorance is lack of interest. All of the renowned men and women of old were intelligent, some through rigorous studying while others through their naturally-given sharp minds, but the combination of both birthed the geniuses whose names bear the buildings of our temples, palaces, taverns and other buildings. In conclusion, never stray from learning… ON NOBILITY The class which rules over the human lands hold different statuses and ranks throughout the different realms, but they share one in common and that is their ambition of power. Nowadays such houses are less frequently born due to the lack of instability, thus the majority of the noble houses are either ancient or old. It takes one man, perhaps followed by another or two to diligently serve for their ennoblement. The noble stations are awarded by Godan and the same people are entrusted for caring about the commoners. For any lord is nothing without his followers. The duty of the leaders is a hard one, many do not understand that it’s an obligation rather than blessing of their lives. ON TITLES There are many titles ranging from the humble Knights to the grandiose Emperors, each comes with responsibilities and life which will be with many limitations and lack of joy. The Imperial Titles Emperor and Empress Prince and Princess Duke and Duchess Viscount and Viscountess Count and Countess Baron and Baroness Sir and Dame The Savoyard Titles Prince and Princess Duke and Duchess Landgrave and Landgravine Margrave and Margravine Count and Countess Baron and Baroness Lord and Lady /All of those titles are held by living figures, at the discretion of the governments of Oren and Savoy any new titles may be created or altered./ ON HOUSES OF SAVOY The nobles of the southern continent are recent settlers and re-settlers, as many of them resided in the human states prior to the resurrection of Sutica and later it’s continuation as Savoy. Due to the new climate and situation, their customs and cultures are still adapting and are being influenced by marriages and other factors at any moment. The Princely House of Ashford de Savoie The Landgrave House of von Alstreim The March House of Mareno The Comital House of Barclay The Comital House of Ashford de Bar The Baronial House of van der Sainte-Blandine The Baronial House of Jazloviecki The Baronial House of Keen The Lordly House of Douglas Signed, Her Highness Princess Carolina Luisa of Savoy
  17. The Queen of Savoyézzo threw the letter into the fireplace, nervously walking in circle. "GET ME SOME INK AND PAPER!" She shouted at her maids. "I'm sorry, but we've got even another kingdom!" The girl excused herself, before sitting onto her bureau and starting to write aggressively. To her Majesty, Queen Inga of Newland @Firelight9 "We congratulate you on the founding of your realm, we wish you lots of prosperity and may your treasury be filled with lots of candies. Our nation would like to establish relations with yours and open possible talks, are you inclined to such offer. I'm awaiting your response!" Signed, Queen Carolina of Savoyézzo
  18. The Pruvian Adieu 1852 The Viscount-Priest of Provins, circa 1852 Winds blew fiercely amidst the forests around Provins, the cold encompassed the body of Philip and his last loyal attendants as they moved towards New Providence and it’s harbour. The moon shone from the empty and dark sky. In the murk only the Imperial Capital was to be seen, yet the men were still far from their destination. As the sun rose and replaced the orb of night they were at the docks and briskly embarked onto a caravel to Aeldin. The ship’s sails upreared and the vessel faded into the distance forever. A handful of letters were left on Claude’s bureau, each named and intended for somebody… TO THE PUBLIC “It has been a few saint’s days, yet no letters were sent by the Emperor or the Pontiff, neither seemed inclined to respond to me. Neither wanted to risk their prestige or possibly worsen the situation, I have no words for those actions. The Emperor who is my first cousin and the Pontiff who claimed to be my friend, this only concludes to me that each of them are careless for their circle once trouble comes. May they be healthy and live long, to properly guide their ministries and care for their flock. Their disagreements will be felt by humanity soon, maybe it will be an irreparable mistake. But who am I to guess and judge, they are the ones in power and the ones taking the decisions, for if they make mistakes the whole of our race will suffer. To whoever holds grudges against me, I’m sorry for anything that I may have done. I’m imperfect and prone to faults. To those who love me, I do as well and you will be always guarded by my prayers. Till next time!” TO CLAUDE “You’re amazing, there aren’t words which can describe you. Perfection itself, we didn’t have the best marriage, but the important is we always supported each other. I know of your wrongdoings, but I stayed silent. I’m no one to judge your actions, please take care of our children and guide them. You’re the only family they have. I will be in Aeldin, in the courts of my distant relatives. Some of my ancestors are still there, it seems that we, Lords of Pruvia, are cursed to live in exile there. My life will be boring and joyless, but I have lost myself here. Perhaps I will find myself in the books through wisdom. Jusqu'à la prochaine fois’’ TO AMADIE “My successor and heir, I see so much of myself in you dear. You are what every Lord dreams of, you’re always serious and never let your guard down. So polite and warm, but ambitious and silent in your work. Make me proud, little one. I want our family in immense power upon my return, never forget who you are and your goals. JE TAIME” TO SOPHIE “My little pearl, you are so heartless and cold - yet so charming and precious to me. Always in front of the mirror trying to perfect every imperfection. I know there is none like you in the Empire, no lady matches your appearance or sharp mind. Her Imperial Majesty is lucky to have you by her side. I love you sincerely and never forget that, la fille!” TO ANASTASIE, GUILLAUME AND VALENTIN “My dear children, I have not been the best parent and it’s my fault only for not offering you a proper childhood, but your Mother will care for you better than anybody. She will be your defence and attack, she will strike for you when she has to. Never disobey her, for she’s intelligent and is always right. Our next rendezvous will happen one day, but only GODAN knows when and until then know that I love you!” TO ANNE CAROLINE “What can I say, mother? You’re probably the worst parent anybody can have, worse than me.. You never cared for anybody, but yourself and only yourself. You never loved me or my sisters nor my father, you always held grudges and hated, but your judgement has come, you are left without a family or anybody to care about you. May GODAN judge you righteously for each of your sins!” TO SIMON PRUVIA “You were right, but I was so young and dense. I didn’t tell you about my mother's plans, I didn’t warn or help you. I stood and watched everything. You might be an Azdrazi, but you loved me and Amadie. We haven’t seen each other in years, I hope our next meeting is not with one of us in a coffin.” TO ANNE ADELHEID AND ANNE ELEANOR “We never had any bond, we never played together or spent time together. Each of us went onto their own path and forgot about their siblings, but I do love you, maybe I never showed it, but you are always my little sisters. I will be back one day and redeem myself, perhaps your grandchildren might use an old man as tutor?” Signed, Philip Pruvia Viscount-Emeritus of Provins and Priest of the Church of Canon

  20. ON THEIR MAJESTIES’ EXCOMMUNICATION It is with much dejection that I write this letter, our most Holy Church stands once again against the Orenian Throne. An unnecessary conflict between the legatees of Horen. HUMANITY, what kept our Empires together and earned us the dominant role of the races. A human is an imperfect creation, capable of sin and virtue - yet always open to repent their sins and further pursue the mission of Godan. If a priest refuses to assist you in your return into virtuous life, he is no holy man - he’s a shameful judge, but we all know that only one judges and that is Godan. To judge somebody for their actions and not help them is equivalent to not caring about your flock because we are all children of Godan and we must help each other in the sinful times. Their Majesties MAY have sinned, but who knows whether they are guilty or not. Only Godan knows and IF they have sinned and continued to lie, then they will receive their judgement upon their passing. But what if they aren’t guilty and our most Holy Pontiff is mistakenly and unintentionally splitting brothers from sisters, especially in dark times where the Dwarves have taken up swords against us. To demand from the successor of Horen to abdicate, the one successor who you crowned and affirmed his divine rule is outrageous especially in times of war and when their guilt is unproven. So, humbly as a priest of the people, I plead the High Pontiff to reconsider and give another chance to their Majesties - perhaps their penance can be something which shouldn’t be political, but something that can please Godan. I also plead the Imperial Administration to reconsider their actions and to not be proud, but to accept any adequate offer from his Holiness. Until I receive a letter from both sides, I shall not eat nor drink, but fast for the dire future of HUMANITY! Signed, Fr. Philip Pruvia
  21. Amidst the green forests of the Pale smoke rose through the trees as fire was lighted, around it was the late Viscount of Provins who had escaped to the countryside to seclude himself and pray for the sins of the Emperor and the Empress. The man's most loyal attendant, which happened to be the only person with knowledge of the priest's location, brought him the news, Philip signed the cross and silently murmured whilst shaking his head in disapproval.

  23. "SI, MAMA!" A little princess of the southern continent supported her mother, developing her hatred for Barclays.
