Right, so assignments have been sent and all that's left are exams, haven't been online for 2-3 months. Last time I was playing on the server the Salvo war had ended, what have I missed since then? Same map?

Upon hearing of the news Osbert would enter the local church of Silasia, there he'd pray in silence. With thoughts of his journey, his loyalty to the Whitewood family, his personal oath to Arturas himself; he looked up towards the ceiling, his gaze going beyond it "My L'rd.... I've fail'd thee.... the oath I meant t' uph'ld.... I've fail'd.... I fail'd myself...." And tears trickled down his face. Yet when the moment passed Osbert set his gaze forward, and hatred filled his heart "I shall avenge thee..." He fled to his home and donned his armor, sharpening his blade before leaving for the nearby lake; there he kneeled and set his sword "God Allmightei, let Thou be witness t' my w'rd: By Thy name I shall bring justice t' my fallen L'rd... 'R die trying"

I'd say make a basic persona like an adventurous elf or scholarly dwarf or whatever and then try out different nation's activities. See which group you want to be a part of and build up your story from there

est. 627 AA “WORK IS THE PRAYER OF THE HUMBLE, AND STRENGTH OF THE WISE” The journey towards Azuras was rough, but with new lands acquired new opportunities will present themselves. In order to organize for the coming winter and to better provide the people, the foundation of the Workers Guild is to be made. MISSION STATEMENT Our mission is to provide work for the citizens of Silasia, while also contributing to our people and nation, tending to the land so that we may all prosper. WORK IN THE GUILD Working in the guild is fairly simple, members simply gather resources and make a report. While members are free to work independently, it is much better to work together in groups or in the case of a planned expedition. For more specific work within the guild, a person would be tasked with a test of experience before continuing. Members of the guild are paid 4 mina per work effort (minimum of 16 amount of an item) and if they're residents of Silasia get extra 4 mina as a reduction from their taxes; hard working members who contribute regularly may get promoted with payment of 8 mina per work effort. RANKS GUILD MASTER GUIDE HERBALIST The Guild Master is in charge of the guild, the approval of new members and organizer of planned expeditions. A Guide is a high-ranking member of the guild, capable of planning expeditions Herbalists are members occupied with the harvest and gathering of special herbs and other alchemical ingredients. PROSPECTOR YEOMAN Prospectors are members working in the mines and caves, looking for various metals, gems and other similar resources. Yeomen are members working in the fields and farms, they raise animals for meat and their goods while keeping an eye out for the coming harvest of crops. SPECIAL RANKS TRADER EXPLORER GUARD Traders are trusted members that travel to other nations in order to buy and sell goods, with the end result being deposited in the guild. Explorers are members that traverse the land in order to find resources and report back their findings to the Guild Master. Guards as the name implies are tasked with protecting the guild and its members during expeditions. LOCATION The Silasian Worker’s Guild is located in Berzynstadt, right after the library, for more information contact Osbert Fidejus (le_psit) via letter or in person.

(artist: RainbowPhilosopher on Deviantart) It was a quiet day in the Shire of Cobblecroak, Breasal Nimblefoot carried out his daily chores before manning the tavern for a night. Eager to see some lovely faces around him, he served the few that accompanied him. However, fate had other plans. With a sudden collapse on the floor, he was carried back to his burrow. There he draw his final breath. Letters would be carried out by frogs to the following places and people To the Shire notice board: To Madoc'Lur, Obok and the rest of the Shaman & Pumpkin Lodge: To the Mossborn clan: To the Nimblefoot family: And thus with a flip of a coin Fates changes once more

The (Unofficial) LOTC Wargame Hello everyone and welcome to the 2nd part of showcasing this project. In this post I'll explain the technicalities of the game, along with gameplay examples. So without further ado, let's begin. Building our army: First we need to build our army in order to play, we'll start with 10 points for a short game. all light armor, 2 shortswords with 2 bucklers, 2 pikes, 2 lances with 2 swordbreakers. (note that by describing my army in this format I know the details of all of my units) Setting up our army: Now we're going to set up our army in any formation we want over in our starting area like so. For the purpose of this example game our opponent will have the same setup. Now that our armies are set up, both players have agreed on the Total War end goal and we've flipped a coin to see who goes first, we may begin the game. Playing the game: Our opponent won the coin flip and has moved first, they haven't reached us yet and we have a few turns to consider the next stage of our formation. We'll go for a more closed and defensive maneuver, that'll help us later. Now our opponent has to move in order to attack us Our opponent has decided to attack our Shortswords with theirs and their Pikes. Fortunate for us, they got some bad rolls and our Shortswords survive for now. We'll move our pikes outwards in order to attack our opponent's Lances, and move our Lances in to attack the opponent's Shortswords. Our Pikes are able to attack both the opponent's Lances and their Shortswords, with the advantage our Pikes have we're able to completely destroy the Lances and lower the Shortswords' HP in order to clean them up with our Lances. As our opponent tries to flee the battlefield we've caught up to them, A glorious victory will soon be ours, we attack with both our Shortswords and Pikes. The opponent's army is no more, we have won this game. Attack range visualized: I'd like to finish this 2nd part with a helpful visualization as to how range works. Footmen and Cavalry units need to be adjacent to an enemy unit in order to deal damage, indicated by the red circle like so. Polearms need to be 1 space apart from the unit they wish to deal damage. Note that only the tiles the red circle touches are the ones that can be attacked, Archers need to be 3 spaces apart from the unit they wish to deal damage. Again, only the tiles that the red lines touch are the ones that can be attacked. (Remember, although Archers have long range, Cavalry move faster and have advantage over them. So make sure to run down Archers with Cavalry) Thank you so much for reading through my post, big shoutout to the people that playtested this and gave their support, and make sure to join the discord for gaming nights and updates. Have a good day gamers.

The (Unofficial) LOTC Wargame Hello everyone, today I'm here to show you this project I've been working on for a while. I hope you'll find it interesting so, without further ado, let's begin. Preface: Initially, this was something extra I was planning for a D&D campaign, a way for the players to command their own armies and be involved in the grand scheme of things. But it turned out too complicated and I decided to leave it for a while, after which I thought to myself "why don't I do something simpler for LOTC?". So I decided to take inspiration from the server, with many elements of the game being based on the PvP plugin that's currently in use. Yet I purposely left it a bit, flavorless to say the least, in order to allow further creativity and homebrew which could help players influence the game. So with all that out of the way, let's begin with the rules. Rules: Players start with 10/15/20 points (varies between short/mid/long game), they spend points accordingly to create their army. When both players are done with creating their army begin the Setup phase. During the Setup phase players can setup their army on their respective starting areas as they wish. (though not necessary the game is best played on a 15x15 hexagonal map, with the first and last 5 rows being the starting area to each player, leaving the middle 5 rows neutral) (either which is fine) When both players are done with setting up their army, flip a coin to determine who goes first and the game begins. To attack an opponent's unit you must declare your attack before rolling 2 six sided dice (2d6). If your unit counters the opponent's unit you may roll a second time and use the highest roll of the two. If the number of your roll surpasses that of the opposing unit's DEF, you deal damage to that unit according to your unit's ATK. Players can agree between the Conquest or the Total War end goals to determine who's the winner. Conquest, occupy your opponents starting area while your opponent's army size is less than half of yours. Total War, defeat all of your opponents army and be the last one standing. Unit Details: There are 4 types of units: Footmen, Archer, Cavalry, Polearm. Unit types counter one another in accordance to this cycle Footmen counter Polearms, Polearms counter Cavalry, Cavalry counter Archers and Archers counter Footmen Attack Range: Footmen and Cavalry units need to be adjacent to an enemy unit in order to deal damage Polearms need to be 1 space apart from the unit they wish to deal damage. Archers need to be 3 spaces apart from the unit they wish to deal damage. Unit Movement: Footmen & Polearms move 2 spaces, Archers 3 spaces and Cavalry 4 spaces. List of Units: (Note that some units, like the Javelin, can be either Archer or Cavalry. Players must choose one type when given the option) Equipment: Lastly, players can spend points to equip units with certain extra features, these include: Swordbreaker: +1 ATK, Cost 1p Buckler: +1 DEF, Cost 1p Shield: +2 Def, Cost 2p Light Armor: +1 DEF, Cost 0p Medium Armor: +2 DEF, Cost 2p Heavy Armor: +3 DEF, -1 Movement, Cost 3p

Even though I didn't get to rp with wonks when they were available, I read the original lore page on wonks; seems like a reasonable CA and I'd love to see them again
