Earlier one came up to me, a poor dwarf... skinny from my lack of food and unable to wave my pick, but this man took advantage, he threw a strange meat at me, it tasted terrible and he started to laugh, he had tried to murder me... and after a long time of asking for his name, encouraged thanks to a stranger in armour he gives me his name, "Lord Regent William of Oren and the lands you are on" The humans think we be fools, that we are slaves at there command, this alliance is sour... to lead us into false hope that we may be safe from the attacks coming, the Humans will kill us, take our Steel and push it to our necks. We must stand against this before it is to late, stop the trade with the humans or overprice it! before we can't defend against ourselves." But worse, When mining with another dwarf we failed to find much iron, only about seven or so peaces after days upon days of mining... 'tis a sad day when a dwarf finds no ore, however I think I 'ave found te' cause of 'tis! A horrid tree, a disgrace to mines stand under the ground, deep in our mines... how a tree like that could exist is far beneath me, the water seemingly appearing from the rock itself, the elves must of done this! They corrupt our mines and spite us by living on our cliffs! We must stand back from these two races, whenever we see them, before they destroy us! The family was almost destroyed hundreds of years ago in the wars with the Orcs, and so the father passed on there Ideas, Grandparent to parent, parent to son. There motives carried on for a long line of generations. "Remember son" his father said "When trading, charge cheapest for our Clan, then the rest of the dwarves. But raise it for the humans and damn the Elves and Orcs, take all te' money of 'em" However, a season after his father had taught him the trade, he was starving and so was the clan. The extortionate prices drived there customers away and they could not afford to feed themselves, sure they had there Diamonds, but there cheapest prices for Dwarves out of the clan where to high anyway! And so they grew week, unable to mine or feed themselves. There Dwarven greed turned against them Kuran however disobeyed his father, and sold a few diamonds of theres for a cart of bread... to the elves, his father was furious and banished him from the clan. "Yer a disgrace te' us all, ye' sold cheap... and te' the bloody elves" where his fathers last words, his father chucked the smallest loaf of bread at him and burnt the cart before his eyes "I would rather starve than eat this... elven disgrace fer food" his father said. And so Kuran was sent of into the world, with just his pickaxe and waraxe with no money to help him... and of cause the small loaf of bread. "Elf lover ye' are, Kuran te' Elf lover, come back the honorable way I taught ye' or don't come back at all" where his fathers last words as he left to try and regain his honor and prove worthy to his clan The ideas his father had taught him while he was young where still deep in his mind, and he trusted them. But he didn't want to see his clan starve... "I... I had te'" He shouted back, however his father had turned back and had started to walk away already. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Kuran approaches the poor Dwarf, staring down towards him "Don't try te' sell te' these lot, they look down on us they do." Kuran said "I... I am to poor te' leave this city" The dwarf said "And some of these humans... they are my freinds" Kuran starts to chuckle "Humans, freinds. They would quash ye with a boot te' gain yer money if ye 'ad any" He goes closer to the poor dwarf, going to grab at his tunic" He was to hot headed, to stubbon to stop his urge to preasure his idea's upon the dwarf, he took none of it in as he stepped back further behind his stall out of reach Kuran lowered his hands, pushing some food off of the mans stall as he left "Yer a traitor te' our kind" he said You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? He stares up at the huge orc, going to grab at his axe however he starts to think deeper, the orc was a big brute, stronger than him and taller, but a trader like Kuran had been taught to use his mind as well as his muscle looking around he spots a small hole under a hill near the road... a brute like an orc wouldn't fit in... yet he might. And this was a Dwarf... one of his own kind, he had to help. "Yer as dumb as yer axe is sharp orc" He shouts up at the Orc The giant muscly Orc turns around, gripping his axe as he goes to stare at Kuran "Little beast... dare... challenge Uruk" Kuran Backs away towards the hole he found, trying to hide it from the Orc's sight The orc, who turned out unable to see it advanced towards him, the dwarf he had possibly saved started to scurry off "Uruk... weak..." Kuran said, in a tone made to sound like the orcs voice, trying to agravate it The orc started to advance towards him as Kuran jumped off the road, climbing inside the hole as the orc swings his axe at the earth, unable to get at Kuran "Dwarf... coward" The orc said as he starts to walk away Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: Kuran smirks, an easy chance for money... he turns towards a tree branch as he starts chopping at it, until he gets a small stick. "T...Thank you" The old man said "No... your money fer te' stick" Kuran smirks, an easy chance for the money The old man, frail and weak seemed unable to walk without the aid, and was forced to comply to the trade. Kuran then takes the mans money, smirking from the easy trade as he throws the stick at the ground "Weak human..." he says, laughing
