Tywin Lannister stormed into Casterly Rock’s hall. The look on his face silenced all. They had all gotten the raven. Dark wings, Dark words. Though Tywin’s host was still almost entirely coming home to their families, the Lannisters were not. His own sons missing, his daughter dead, her children missing or hostage. Tywin took it as best he could, often riding alone. War Councils were quiet affairs, he seldom spoke. It was clear after some ravens had flew, he was heading home. The Host left their camp near the river, taking the Gold Road. As they head home, Tywin leaves men behind to close the road to King’s Landing. As he came home though, there was still hope for the Lannister cause. Things had been learnt on the way, and ravens sent. Damion Lannister welcomed his lord back, having been quite busy. Under Lord Tywin’s orders the mountain passes and castles have received strong garrisons. Work continues to fortify them, and establish permanent garrisons of Lannister veterans who are paid. Elsewhere with the Starks gone, the Lords are not called to serve any further levies. However for or now Tywin will keep his men massed in the passes, and Casterly Rock, ready to march. **That isn’t to say the Lannister host is disbanded, quite the opposite. With some five-and-thirty thousand swords, the Lannisters are massed. While an unknown amount guard the passes into the West, others are sent to staff garrisons or help with the harvest, or hold the core lands. However Tywin and his veterans of the War of Five King’s remain encamped near Casterly Rock. These men will form the basis of Tywins personal army. They will be his own personal men, and will not be obligated to farm or serve a feudal lord. Instead they will be his permanent troops, ever vigilant. They will be paid in gold, and given land and knighthood after five-and-twenty years of service. They try to base the training as much as they can off the Unsullied model. *Two further ravens drastically changed the Lannister’s stance. First was from the High Septon. The Lannisters accept the mission for the West. Tywin was a staunch man of the Seven, and loathed this Fiery demon god. In full support of the High faith, and in retaliation to Stannis’s burning of the Sept in King’s Landing, House Lannister declares holy war on the heretic that falsely sits the Iron Throne. Tywin calls for the faith militant and Lords of the West to rally for this holy war. Ravens fly to every Westerland Lord ordering them to rally every levy they can. Tywin’s current army is recalled to assemble to march. The second raven came from the North. With Ned Stark avenged, the viper court of King’s Landing all dead, Joffery missing and out of power, and the Lannisters no longer threatening the North, peace has been offered. Tywin sends a Raven back, and perhaps Westeros becomes more peaceful. ***The remains of Lorch’s, Hoats, and Clegane’s men had largely been left behind on the Gold Road. Now bolstered by the Lannister sell-sword host, they were a proper force to be reckoned with. They are led by a man as tall as a mountain, Gregor Clegane. Apparently not dead, it seemed the Lannisters also had invulnerable men like Dondarion. They begin to wreak havoc on trade heading to King’s Landing, and picking off isolated garrisons. They will avoid any pitched battle, having learnt well from the River Lands. Actions *Mustering war-host in Westerlands, and ordering Lords to raise more swords. *Declaring a holy war to reclaim the Iron Throne form a heretic and demon worshipper. **Forming standing army under Tywin’s command. ***Unleashing Gregor Clegane and his mercenary/scum army on the Crown Lands/Shutting down Gold Road to King’s Landing. Work continues to fortify the passes, man the castles, and patrol the coast of the West. It is effectively sealed off. With both Joffery and Tommen Baratheon missing, Myrcella is by the laws of the old gods and new proclaimed the Queen of the Iron Throne.

1921 Austria Shattered! After Greece losing the war, and years of blockade, Austria could go on no further. The Emperor Franz Ferdinand and his cabinet are ousted. But not by Austrian elite. Across the multi ethnic Empire, different local powers were rising. Having been increased powers, they were now transforming into proper states. The Italian war is called off. The Austrian Emperor and his armies are cut off, with Germans, Ottomans, Italians, Belgians, Serbs, and Bulgars pushing in on every side. In a controversial move, the Austrian nobility rebels against the Emperor. They formally accept a German mandate for unification. Austria through turmoil and blood enters the German reich. Hungary also secedes, while Serbia begins to eat large portions of southern Austria. The Galcian Poles summarily execute their king, and formally enter the growing Polish-Lithuanian Kingdom. This however is leading to growing tensions. The increasingly nationalist Poles were leaning towards fascist protocol. Their one party under Pilsudki kept a tight rein on government and market. They were increasingly also suppressing Socialist. Russia on the other hand was moving the exact other way. Pair this with now a practical Kingdom as their Union ally, and things were tense. What certainly did not help was Finland’s growing monarchical goals as well. With Poland so boldly making a Kingdom, Finland was pushing for more rights for the Tsar, who had just been a key figure head in the Orthodox reforms. Regardless Russia after her bloody civil war is now the Eastern Great Power. She rules the Union in name, and has vast armies and navies. The Netherlands formally join the CP, perhaps pushed by potential Belgian invasion. Norway’s government begins to sag, as more and more Swedish and Global Socialist fighters flood into the nation. In cities they begin to follow what had eerily happened in Sweden. Mobs of men and women moving in, setting up, and arming. The armies and navies as a whole in the 2nd Int. are now formally mobilized. Across the world Global Fighters are now moving into what seems prearranged positions. Many South American nations are now under direct Socialist threat. In China her armies are spotted mobilized in the west, just sittin there. The World Market and Trade was also seeing a shift. Merged with several other Asian states, and backed by rich investors, Japanese stock and oil shares was steadily increasing, while nations like Great Britain and France fall behind. The United States has officially entered a new era of chaos. Her Government has vanished. Many senators have left for home in disgust. Others simply quit. Mexico, now with nationalized oil, is taking full advantage. She begins to actually encroach on Texan land. Ethiopia formally declares war on Italy. A reported 400,000 modern troops begin to make swift work of the Italian border forces, already weakened from a war. The Ottoman Empire is ignored, and told to keep out of the matters. In Africa abroad armed revolts begin to rise. It is clear soon enough who was supporting them. Students from across the globe lead African units, toting red flags. The Philippines becomes a formal Tanoist Republic, as U.S troops and loyalist begin a insurgent war. All the vassals and provinces of the ottoman empire begin to convene in mecca. It seems discussions are beginning of a true Caliphate….. 100 Million people are confirmed dead of the Dutch Flu, a further 50 million estimated dead or dying. The world by now has felt this across the board. Nations are suffering from a collapsing world economy, and exhausted and sick workforce. And thus 1922 looms, and ARMAGEDDON Ireland Finally after a few months, the IRB was ready to strike. Across Ireland merciless teams of IRB insurgents begin to target rather large Protestant figures. James Craig is wounded, and rushed to a hospital where his fate is unknown. Elsewhere others are also whacked. This causes a retaliatory wave of Protestant assassinations. Michael Collins is targeted, and loses his left arm to a car bomb. An all out shadow war begins. The summer fair goes with full pageantry! The Empire of the Rising Sun This modern Jap army is fully passed as planned! A small and elite army that is well equipped, mostly thanks to German aid to China over the Cambodia deal. The Koreans represent a strong and highly skilled portion of the army. And the Marine corp has expanded on it’s own! Naval plans finished as planned. Though not really a large source, Indonesia never the less begins working on bigger drill operation. Thanks to…..help from covert units, Japan begins to purge her commies and other undesirables. Japan begins to convert large portions of her trucks into half tracks and troop transport. Following Serbia, Japan makes the first entirely mobile Division for her army. Airplane plans continue as planned. The Papacy Poland The notion is fully ratified by the Polish government! The Socialist vehemently opposed it, but at this point were too weak to stop it legally. A suitable house is found, and the Polish-Lithuanian Kingdom is reformed. Russia opposes it, whilst the Austrian poles love it. More work begins, chiefly on the Polish Steel industry. France This new coalition government has almost all the power in Legal French governance. Work begins to further expand the army and P.L.A militias. Never Again continues as planned. Though not able to build all this, France begins in small numbers to start producing these modern variants. After 3 years of reconstruction, France is still in a desperate state. The wounds may have stopped bleeding, but the scars remain. Not too mention France’s foreign credit is ruined, and her country is dying slowly of plague. However the scraps of France are begin sewn together, and the army remains strong. German Reich For now the German naval production eases. They had rebuilt their war losses, and even expanded them. But in all truth the German economy was sagging, and every ship built hurt. This new change helps the economy slowly recover. Work continues on improving the MK II, even while they are being produced. Earlier variants are either adapted or scrapped. The Bavarians help with the chaos that is a shattered Austria. Under the Baron’s guidance the German air wing continues to make modern doctrine. Their aircraft Zeppelins are true modern marvels. With Serbia’s full help, work begins on a official German logistics and medical corp. Ottoman Empire And so most of the army heads home, remains in the occupied zones of Bulgaria/Greece, or continue the war against Austria! Many Ottomans are found healthy from flu symptom. Perhaps a show of support from their god? The breakaway Persian Pan-Islamist state officially merges with the Ottoman Empire, meaning they inherit the war against the rest of Persia. Funding plans go as planned. This cloak and dagger war against the Young Turks and C.P.U begins. However they are well established in underground cabals, spanning back to 1912. The Sultan’s men stumble across an entire web woven around the Empire. Conspiracy looms but they can’t figure out what yet! Industry plans go as planned. Russia This new blend of Socialism and Democratic parties working together is strongly supported. Already practically along Socialist reform and rights, the leading government blends. Russian cities are increasingly Industrial, Educated, and Wealthy. Besides the far east, Russia was a strong Democratic state. With British aid Russia begins to make ‘medium’ tanks, cheap, reliable, easy to adapt. Though still clunky, they are a far more refined version of most nation’s tanks. 25 will be done by end of year. Still not obtainable, work continues on an a superior bi plane fighter. Comparable to German or Austrian ones, it continues prototype work this year. 5 year plan continues as planned. Russian car companies however are floundering. The more refined and cheap Polis industry is outcompeting them, and selling Cars through Union laws to Russian citizens. Galaharian League Population; 5,205,750 Trumpets and booming drums filled the air in a clamorous din. Out on the open ocean, noise travelled far. As the Duke stood at the fore of his very own Nuncio, G.L.S Wanderer. The wind ran through his hair, as the sounds of music filled his ears. Packs of dolphins played with the boats, and raced them. Behind him was a fleet of ships, all flying banners of the League. Curiously one ship also flew the Bourdelaic banner. It would seem the League’s new ally’s had also sent men on this expedition. After a year of preparation, and final last minute ones this year, Giovinco has set sail. Armed with knowledge of the Coast, and navigation tools, he was quite confident. He, his fleet, and the Adventurer Company made a formidable naval presence. The navy first stops in Bordeleux, to pick up some Imperial troops and explorers/envoys. They then head down the coast to the realm of Aulum. There the Humagi and Humans met, and intermingled. It was also the last known port to the League. They filled their provisions, sacrificed some slaves, and sail into the unknown. The Deep One would show them the way. – At home life continues as normal. The influx of slaves from abandoning the woods has led to increased building projects. Across the League new works spring up. And in the center is Batista’s Landing. Where all the wealth and trade flows, and power resides. Ormanno Sforza is now acting Regent of Duke Barbaro’s two year old son. Sforza and barbaro’s wife Hilmidhi wife will rule when Giovinco is away sailing. Right before he left, the Duke also have his permission to Sforza to marry. Now technically a part of an Imperial family, Sforza begins to make preparations for his wedding with Princess Sophia Adelaide. It will bind the two nations closer together. And form an alliance of strong proportions. The Greenthroat Nations were all solid and respectable. Unlike other places of the world, stability and status quo reigned here. The Rich League, Mighty Empire, and Mysterious Kingdom all live in harmony. *Ser Damion Lannister surveyed the host arrayed before him. Mainly men-at-arms, Knights and Lords, levies, and hired hands. The Lannisters had been quick to rally what captains they can. The passes into the Westerlands were rough affairs. The mountains bottled the roads into narrows points, where Lannister fortresses dominate the passes. The Host begin to march to every point into the Westerlands, to seal it off. Work also begins to hire men to form standing guards in the mountain passes, and work to fortify them further. **The Lannisters will continue to rally men to the Lion banner. Based in Lannisport and Casterly Rock, the Lords of the West are not required to send even more levies. They will stay home to prepare for the winter. Casterly Rock will also open her treasury. Famed Lannister wealth is my no means dwindling. Mercenaries, hedge knights, peasants, they will all be given coin to join the army. The Lannister navy is tasked with keeping the sea routes open, to allow more Mercenary bands from afar to travel to Lannisport for this famed army that is being paid. ***Elsewhere the Lords and Knights of the Westlands are also called into action. They will protect their own lands, and assist their neighbors. They will begin to counter the Stark’s on their own land, on their own terms. Not giving the Wolf King a pitched battle, these small bands will harry him at every opportunity. A lesson well learned from the peasants without banners. ***The famed wealth of Casterly Rock will also be used to begin and build her own uses. Master Armorers displaced from war, craftsmen, artist, they are all offered patronage in Casterly Rock, and safety from the growing wars. Already a jewel, Lannister Gold will begin to turn Casterly Rock/Lannisport into the West’s cultural center and seat of rule. Galaharian League 1506 Duke Giovinco Barbaro held his nine month pregnant wife in his arms, on a balcony in the palace. Panning below him was Batista’s Landing in all it’s rich splendor. And ever more glorious, the Ocean beyond. He had been keeping himself and his Duchess busy. Very busy. And to have all of their strenuous efforts come to fruition at once was... most gratifying. They had recently come back from their colony, at the Duke’s request. Moraine also attended, far more silent with the Duke’s wife now a reality. They sensed great change was coming. “Today marks the first day of a treaty signed with our Neighbors. The Kingdom of Fyr-Darrick and Empire of Bordeleux. We have all mutually signed the others as friends and trade partners. We will respect each other’s borders, and paths of Expansion. This marks the start of great camaraderie within the Green Throat. Trade will flow faster and faster, through a stable group of Nations!.” Cheering s abruptly cut off as he continues what was thought to be a done speech. “Our borders are secure, our armies large, and our fleets able. Our neighbors seek gold and mutual gain. The Deep one himself favors us! The Adventure Company has found.... something. Something the Deep One himself meant for us to find. Then he turns his back on it, face blank. Arrayed behind him is the host of the West, in all it’s glory. Ser Adam Marbrand was long gone, leading his outriders. Gregor Clegane, Ser Amory Lorch, and Vargo Hoat are fully unleashed. They will plunder and burn the river lands wherever Tywin marches. The message to the Tully’s is very clear. The Lannisters were destroying their lands, and killing their people. And they were coming straight for the River Crossings near Riverrun. Tywin, Kevan, Crakehall, and other notables will stay in the main host or rear guard. As the Lannisters advance, it is at a leisurely stride. They will keep their baggage well secured, and the route back open. They take their time to plunder the countryside. As they drew closer, a War Council is held to finally lay all matters to rest... – Assembled near the giant silk tents and fires is the Lords of the West. Lannister, Crakehall, Brax, Clegane, Lefford, Lydden, Marbrand, Payne, and many more. They were arranged on benches, facing Tywin Lannister. To his right as always, Kevan Lannister. To his left, Ser Robert Brax. Guards line the area, and food and drink is served. Kevan begins; “Our esteemed Lords of the West, let us pray to the Seven before we proceed.” A long and solemn pause ensues as the Lords all pray and think privately. “We near Riverrun, and the Crossings. We will march through the crossings, to go home.” At this a clamor is heard, many shouting to be heard. A Lefford shouts that the Tully’s are right here. Others argue they should stay in Harenhal, or march on King’s Landing. One even suggest just going away. The shouting dies in a split second, when one man clears his throat. Lord Tywin Lannister, Hand of the King, rises. The Lord’s all kneel, as he begins. “That Stark threatens all of our Land and Income. My daughter sees fit to order me, and have us march on King’s Landing while there is no clear threat. Yet others I see want different routes. The course is set. We march on the crossings, to go home. It is the Starks who are our concern. If Kings Landing deems it fit to send us no news, then we will not wait for them like sheep. We will smash the Tully host, and return to our homes. To protect our hearths, harvest our grain, rest, and resupply. Even now I have sent ravens to all of our castellans left behind. They will raise a new host, to meet ours. We will march for home” With this rare speech, the Lords rose to their feet and cheered with great volume. Many in their hearts had wanted to head home, but none admit it. With no news from King’s Landing, Tywin has decided to act. Ravens fly to many sources, and gold flows. Actions Holding a War Council and deciding battle plans. They are ordered to raise as many men at their disposal as they can, to form into a host under Ser Benedict Broom. All levies are ordered to work their way past Starks, to mass at (secret) locations. [Mod, Crakehall, Banefort]. Unleashing Gregor Clegane, Amory Lorch, Vargo Hoat to plunder Riverlands as Lannisters advance. Outriders sent to King’s Landing to find any news they can out of the chaos and rumors. Rallying navy in Lannisport, putting them on guard for Stark tricks.

But Lord Tywin’s real concern is the false ‘Boy King of the North’ who was running amok in his lands. The host begins to march...

Mostly Democratic Republics, and not Communist Regimes, they had been seizing power. While other nations warred, they grew their economies. Workers unions, trade syndicates, councils, committees, nations such as Brazil, Argentina, and China, were becoming the most progressive and balanced states. At this point Ethiopia was blatantly arming her neighboring tribes. Something she had been doing for years and years. Ethiopian Imperial armies are also seen mustering on their border with the Italians. With the death of the Greek PM, the King uses this to seize power. Pro Central Powers, he and his party had yet again been suppressed. But by now Greece was a plague wracked charnel house. Iranian Pan-Muslim rebels in the west have made tremendous gains. With Ottoman support, they had pushed the old government out. With enough land, and people, and Ottoman support, the western province officially secedes. They begin the process of merging into the Empire. Spanish troops begin to march into African lands held by France. In a oar of outrage, the Troops are recalled. Both 2nd Internationale members, the Alliance had used it’s muscle to call off the Spanish greed. But it certainly did not ease tensions. France for her part is barely staying above water. In The Philippines a Tanoist underground movement begins to harass U.S army regulars. It is another sad note in an already blood soaked year.

Galaharian League The sounds of celebration are heard throughout the entire Capital. Batista’s landing is packed to the brim with people. Merchants from various countries intermingled with the sea folk, all rather drunk. After a grand wedding, The Duke and his circle had headed north. There they had spent the year valiantly defending Galahar from the Wolf folk. Giovinco was angered, at the waste of it all. He had sent word to his Fey friends of the wood. Their advice had left a bitter drought to swallow. However when the Duke came back, he learned his Duchess was with child. His first true heir, it was a massive occasion. To take his wives mind away from troubling news in Hilmedhi, he throws grand balls and plays for her. – *Under the Duke’s reluctant orders, wooding operations in the Green Throat cease. Isolated communities are abandoned, the population condensing into more defensible locations away from the woods. The army will still patrol the abandoned land, but they will leave it for nature to take back. Near the Green Throat city of Ovest, more men arrive. The League’s land gate to the uncharted west, it was a vital hub. There as well some Chiefs from a fallen Westfal are settled, as a formal Vassal state to the League. They will be left to their own devices, and act as a tributary state to the City of Ovest, to supplement the League’s Western city. In other news a resurgence of Galaharian finance is ascending. Trade partners were lining up, Galahar being a friend to all. Guilds are furiously scrambling for the contracts to build Ports and Guild Houses in their own domains. Clerks in the thousands descend on ware houses and ships, taking inventory. Soon enough Galahar’s colony will be a city in it’s own right as well. In more martial news Galahar’s very own ship is about to be completed. Dubbed a ‘Nuncio’ class, it was bigger, and better, then the average Carrack. It was a mobile tribute to the Deep One. A ship designed to travel long and far, and to bring trade to even the most remote lands. A storm ship, with weapons and cargo aplenty. Strapped to either side were two coastal skiffs, armed boats in their own right. The ship will enter production next year, in tandem with the Duke’s heir being born. A marvelous omen! **A band of Adventurers finally get approval to go back and explore the seemingly abandoned city. On it’s own island, it is hard to reach. So they set out when the sea is calmest, with a small navy. The Adventure Band will scour the City. Galahar League Duke Giovinco Barbaro and his party examined yet another ravaged corpse. The Wolves had come back against all hopes. Duke Barbaro himself had championed trying to work with the wolves. But Reaver Admiral Ormanno Sforza was proven right. They could not leave food for these beast, or reason with them. Though both had distaste for these forest dwelling Humagi, they were still Leagues-men. Arrayed behind the Duke was Galahar’s first official army in decades. For years and years the Guilds and Cities had maintained their own local garrisons and outpost. The armies were largely mercenary based, the scum of the land. Mostly in furs and leathers, they policed and taxed the land in the name of their payer. In battle they were average, and of no note. The Barbaro’s in days past had retained a small professional army. But as Guilds grew, and Duke’s shrunk, the odds changed. But Giovinco was living in a harsh new world. He had the support, and the allies. The new Adventurer Band is officially minted. For now the best of the various garrisons, these men will be the Duke’s new professional army. They are supplemented with hordes of the ‘Adventurers’ giving the band it’s name. They will wear gaudy uniforms, all lace, feather, and angular cuts. The more somber veterans stick to standard uniform. Jackets buttoned down a side, with the Duke’s personal crest. These new soilders under the Duke and Sforza’s lead will spend the year patrolling their land, ensuring a quick response to any Wolf raids. They will make no incursions of their own however. – The newly minted settlement of Galileria is put under the stern watch of the navy. More troops arrive to garrison the tenuous grip on the land. Ships will patrol the route, and guard their trade. Elsewhere buildings begin, and projects grow. Trade continues to expand in Galahar, the Guilds raving for new routes. Research continues as well, as a new “Nuncio” class is designed. With the fall of Westfal, many Guildsmen smell a zesty opportunity. The Duke would not let them sail to conquer however. To step on the Empire’s toes was too much. However even he could not stop the Guilds. They wanted slaves, gold, and wood. And so the entire Galahar fleet, and Ormanno Sforza himself, sail to Westfal. They only make temporary camp on the South West banks. Horses are seen roaming the land, delivering edicts. Galaharian troops begin to round up as many slaves and gold and loot as they feasibly can, as Westfalian slaves start to pour in as well. Austria Austria had little way to get the radio shipped to her. Nevertheless the Company heard, and answered it’s first customers call. Galaharian league A sobered Ormanno Sforza walked the Hilmedhi princess down the pier onto the beach. With no other family, Giovinco has asked his friend, and above all, rival, to walk his bride to be. Reaching the sands, a slow jaunty tune begins on several pipes. Thousands stand barefoot in the beach, flower in one hand, knife in the other. The nobility, reavers, commoners, and priest of Galahar had all assembled to witness Barbaro’s wedding. Her allies and princess’s family is omitted from this part of the wedding. *For it is holy, and Moraine heads a procession of priest and magi. Behind her stand some three thousand slaves, arrayed in rows of chains. And there with the waves lapping at his feet stands Duke Barbaro in all his youthful splendor. His bride was a beautiful princess from the Kingdom of Hilmedhi. She was alone, with no one else permitted to come. As Moraine stiffly reads off the scripture, the ceremony is almost over. The Duke and his betrothed slice their palms, and clasp them together as they kiss. Their blood mingles, and drops into the ocean. *Thousands of slaves start to get ritually sacrificed, their blood drained into the ocean. All of Galahar’s nobility and guilds slice open their palms in groups in front of the newly weds, letting their blood mix with theirs, to solidify this bond. They return to Batista’s landing, to have another marriage under Hilmedhi custom. Then comes the massive feast and celebrations. *Along the beach thousands of bright and ornamented tents are in neat lines. With the SUPERIOR Galahar Green Wood silk, every tent was it’s own palace. Music filled the air, and ever vigilant Guards made their rounds. Wine and Mead was everywhere, as well as the bounty of the ocean. Rounds of duels between various champions of various gods ensues, each victor getting prize. In the League’s main tent hundreds dance, as Nobility mixes with Commoner. The Realm of Hakan is given a special raised pedestal near the Duke and his Duchess. Quite foreign to them, they had never the less heard via the trade routes. Always eager for more partners, the League speaks to them privately during the revelry..... – Days later they finally pull the Duke from his new wife, and drag him to the Council room. Ormanno Sforza was itching to set off, and his lieutenants were no better. Barbaro begins telling him the plan, but is cut off. The Reaver Admiral knew damn well what he was doing, and was ready to do it. He will take the fleet, and some nine hundred and fifty men. They will travel to the western coast of the Gulf, where the trade runs sweet. Through piratical or legal means, Sforza will claim the land for the League, and establish a town. **One other concerning matter was the Wolves in the Green Throat. They threatened lumbering and Silk harvesting industries, moth massive matters for the League. The Guilds controlling the trades wanted the army to move in. The Duke contrarily wanted to head into the Woods alone to speak with these creatures. Practically beaten by his wife, a compromise is made. Out of the Duke’s own pocket he will send food and live animals to the North. Even barrels of fish, crabs, lobster, and other ocean dwellers. If the Wolves eat that instead of the Duke’s people, no further course will be needed and they will continue leaving food. If not, more serious matters will be taken... Galaharian League 1501 Population (Year 2) 4,635,000 As a new year comes to a start, many things are changing. Duke Giovinco Barbaro had left on a state visit to the Kingdom of Hilmedhi. A place where many guilds such as the Revarini or Salvanzo and his louts had interest. But The Duke had beat them there, while they all idled back in Galahar. There Reaver Admiral Ormanno Sforza rules for the year in Giovinco's stead. It was a stark difference to how the Barbaro’s liked to run it…. A dour collection of Guildsmen from Ovest walk the hallowed halls of the palace. On either side is ample display of Barbaro wealth and power. However they hear some very un Barbaro noises as they reach the throne room. Giggling, the sounds of rowdy Revari music, tankards clinking together, and other sounds of revelry. It was true The Courtesan Duke was notoriously rowdy as well. But he kept it out of the palace. As they enter the building for a meeting, they see the chaos of the Barbaro throne room. Ormanno sforza lounges on a cushion, next to the Duke’s throne. Dozens of Lords, Ladies, airy Courtesans, horrified Guildsmen, Council Members, and others mix together. The Ovest guild sadly tucks away their scrolls. It had detailed the loss of quite a large amount of gold. But now work was getting done with the Admiral's party. -- Many days later the celebrations die down -at great cost- and the wheels of state begin to turn yet again. The Duke had left behind quite the to do list for his cabinet. And the Senate/Guilds were clamoring for all the new trade opening up. Ormanno as well was busy building his fleet. As the wheel of state glide, the people of Galahar remain in peace. The lack of a military force was felt, but many were safe in their land. They had a natural affinity to it and it’s creatures. They knew as long as they tended the land, it would nurture them. However some more inland Humagi have forgotten the peace and wisdom of the Deep One. Turning to banditry, they had plagued some land routes, or simply stolen. But High priestess Moraine and her retinue did not take lightly to it. Rallying the ‘Adventurers’ private army, they rode to scour the countryside clean. Over ten thousand are rounded up, mostly inland Humagi who shun the Deep One. Sacrifices being to be made in the new place of worship, as the rest are enslaved. -- Giovinco Barbaro returns to the League, with news that will change it forever. He has officially been betrothed to the King of the Hilmedhi’s daughter. A collective sigh of disappointment can be heard in the capital from hundreds of fair maidens who had hoped to wed this dashing Courtesan Duke. But in a stroke the Duke had proved his merit. He had won the guilds trade deals, won himself a strong position as a Prince in a foreign land, and saved the Hilmedhi from Sforza's vicious ambitions. It consolidated Barbaro power in an unstable time. And things were indeed unstable. Troubling reports leaked out of the Greek Throat. The army will begin to increase, as the navy begins true building as well. The gold not pissed away partying or as gifts is put to good use. The Galaharian League The Galaharian League spanned hundreds of wheels in true splendor. It’s largely coastal population was teeming with diversity. In the capital many different types and sects of Humagi walked shoulder to shoulder. The solemn and tall Nobility from The Coins were the minority in this League. And yet they ruled, and their culture predominated. In their sleek trousers and long dyed leather coats, they made for striking figures. Hats were all the fashion in the League, and changed every fortnight. They lived side by side with the more burly, and squat descendents of “The Reaver King”. By now a myth, he was the leader of the Humagi pirates to the far east. They (and the Coins people) had made a compact. The Lords with their Cogs and Trade Hulls merged with the Pirates and their war ships. They travelled west, reaving and saving as they went, picking up many more ethnic sects on the way. These ‘Revari’ wore decadent and colorful sashes, tunics, vest, and lace. They typically walked barefoot (as any sailor knew shoes on a boat meant death), and had a variety of striped, pinned, slashed, trousers or shorts. Both sects followed the Deep one, and were ardent Sea Faring Humagi. Millions lived in the League, and follow its law and decree. They had settled on a thin strip of land, lost between two seas. One of water, the other, trees. In present day this developed Nation was largely mercantile and oceanic. Guilds of various types and sizes ruled in the cities, under the Duke and Senate’s keen (and sometimes worried) gaze. The country was teeming with villages, predominantly on the coast. There Humagi and nature lived in tandem. Wild animals would stroll right up to houses, and let the Humagi pet them. Sea creatures teemed near these villages. Farther north near the Green Throat, and more inland, the population was sparser and more rugged. -- Batista’s Landing, a sprawling pearl at the tip of the Narvani peninsula. The city truly started at her docks, where thousands visited daily. A broad array of local and sometimes foreign items could be found. Fish by the hundreds, and all sorts of other trinkets littered the docks in bazaars. Warehouses, taverns, and brothels stood side by side. Sailors and merchants littered the quay. And above all was the predominant guilds flag, ‘The Revarini’. The city proper was a tiered array of mainly wood and stone houses shaped like various Sea objects. A inn shaped like a ship could be on the corner of a street, While further down a community of houses most barrel like clustered together. Wheels and nets festooned roofs, and wooden bridges connected many taller buildings and gardens. At the center of the city lay the Duke’s Palace, the League’s Senate houses, and the Guilds official offices and commerce buildings. From here the nation’s power resided, and where the vast wealth was stored. Every day soldiers, envoys, sailors, lords, guildsmen, tax collectors, wives, tours, and other people met. And sitting in his solar at the head of it all was Giovenco Barbaro. Duke of Galahar, ‘Lord of the League’, Governor of Batista’s Landing, and commander of the garrison. -- Tall and solemn/long faced like all his noble ancestors, Duke Barbaro was a very young Humagi. With long black hair arrayed in curls, olive skin, and emerald green eyes, he was nicknamed the ‘Courtesan Duke’. Perhaps for his striking beauty, like any of Batista’s famed canal courtesans, or perhaps for his love of said courtesans. Arrayed before him was the most -officially- powerful men and women in the League. They all had a stout glass of seawater, and a plate of fresh fish from the Gulf. There sat Moraine, a consort to the Duke, and priestess of the Deep One. She arched and eyebrow and smiled. Next to her were several lesser priest, and church leaders. They represented a strong bloc within the more coastal regions, where the Deep One ruled. Next to her retinue were several prominent members of the various Guilds. Many hailed from the Twin cities of the League. To the east was the prosperous Throatavilla. There Governor Salvanzo and the Narosi Guild held the wealth. They had lucrative deals with both the Humagi of the Green throat, and of the plains bordering them. From there many foreigners and wealth flowed into the League. To the west the smaller and poorer city of Ovest sat on her river and bay. There the Green Throat was always close, and ominous. The people and scattered Guilds mostly kept to extracting resources and fish from the bay. They were of less import, but still were powerful enough to require seats. Then there were of course the elected Senators from the Republic Houses. There the Guilds, Revari, Duke, Governors, and all others had their hands in the honey pot. The Senate was more a chess board for the true power in the league. And there was Ormanno Sforza, current ‘Reaver Admiral’ of the League’s navies, Chief of her land armies, and prominent member in the Batista’s Landing based Revarini guild. Loud and boisterous where Duke Barbaro was solemn and quiet, aggressive, drunk, deadly, all things that could describe Admiral Sforza as he styled himself. He was a descendent of the famed Reaver King, and the Duke’s counterpart in the League. While the Duke ruled, and held hereditary power, the Reaver Admiral commanded her armed forces, and chaired all expeditions. -- With such a mighty assembly gathered, the wheels of state begin to churn. The Guilds headed by Salvanzo had written a petition to the Duke and Senate. They want to expand the quarters and size of the Merchant Guilds in each city. They will begin to work on larger mercantile routes and deals, and begin to build roads. The Duke easily accepts, as matters move on. Sforza, eager to expand the League’s navy, wanted to build a true port in Batista’s Landing. From there he would begin to assemble skilled sailors, and build a war fleet. Upon getting the funds approved, he storms out to get to work at once as is his way. In a move to appease his Consort and Priestess Moraine, the Duke also approves funding for a holy church to the Deep One in the capital. From there the Religion and Power of the Sea God will reside eternally. A mix of adventurers, noble’s sons, rich guilders, soilders, and other sorts also petitioned the Duke. They wanted leave to form a citizen cavalry unit. On their journey west they witness the shattering of the Exiled Kingdom, where once great cities had towered. They crossed the great oceanic barrier, finding a new god on the way. Commonwealth of Virginia News spreads throughout Virginia of political machinations. Governor Letcher and General Lee had been under pressure for years now to reform. Virginia’s Response to New England Robert E. lee sat in the sand, his feet in the cold waters of the Atlantic. For the past few months he had been helping the New York government whip their 13th corp into shape. His own army was learning a thing or two from the New Yorkers as well. New England on the other hand had supported the Monroe Doctrine, in direct opposition to Virginia. They had also declared any slave to reach their land free, a sore point for the Southern nations. They had gone so far as to offer Lee and Letcher money and trinkets, “Letting Them” leave New York and the war. It was clear to Virginia’s elite one thing. They could have a friendly New York maintaining balance and trying to defend her rightful borders. Or a New England Confederation eerily similar to the Union, and on the offensive. Lee’s response was already made up, but he had to wait for the telegraph from Government. And the answer is; WAR In response to clearly hostile New England attitudes to take over control of the North and all the bounty with it, The Commonwealth of Virginia has decided to intervene on behalf of it’s already closely related New York allies, to maintain the balance of powers in the North. The now dubbed “American Expeditionary Army” under Robert E. Lee will halt training in NYC, and who knows what they do next? The Virginian navy already in New York ports rally with their allies.

The Kim dynasty had finally rotted, the various monarchs now all dead or gone. They had left behind an incomplete Korea. One wrapped tight in fear, and hunger. Now millions and millions were confronted with the brutal truth. Their ruler and lord was one, they had no one to look out for them. In such turmoil did the former army marshal Kyo Kwan rise. Kim Jon-Un had left behind a security council and inner ring. These men and women were his confidants, and top generals. When the Kims died, they suddenly found themselves in power. If they sought to take it. And this is what the parade and filmed march represented. Behind Taewonsu Kwan, millions flooded the Palatial square. He and his retinue climbed the steps up the palace, to a line of podiums. There, the speech to be remembered for all Koreans to come is issued. Kwan begins; “We come here today in great despair and grief. Korea has been leaderless for too long! Our lords remain in the lofty heavens, watching down on us. They have left us however, and in dire straights. Our land is becoming less and less tenable. And yet, right above us, lays a whole new potential. A provisional government has been formed under the Republic. We will lead the people into a new golden era in the names of the Kims.
