Yeah I’d like this. Instead of just opening mines wherever, it’d be cool if there were a set number of mines scattered throughout the map with varying frequencies of certain ores. Would make land an actually valuable commodity since you’d make serious bank off controlling the land around a mine. And I agree that you should still have basic materials in small frequencies at the CT mine though just so players are never completely locked out of obtaining necessities like iron.

Recent CTs have generally been way too big and way too confusing to navigate. Pretty ugly too – they’re designed to look good in shadered screenshots from afar, like in the OP, but usually look like a mess when you’re there with your default texture pack on ground level. Need something small with clear signs, not just floating names hidden far in the distance, to tell you which direction to run in. I’d prefer having a resource island to having all the farms, markets, mines, etc. in the CT – those things make the CT unnecessarily big and usually they’re all scattered across the CT making them hard to find. However I think, rather than the resource island being an OOC place like last time, it should ICly be a CT-annex type deal where the Monks still own the land so PVP-off, no hostile RP, etc. Doesn’t make a huge difference, but IMO it’s weird to go to a place that’s completely OOC to collect your resources. Everywhere should be IC on the server. Tl;dr as small and simple as possible, and stick all the resource stuff like farms and mines(and the markets at which you sell that stuff) together in one place. And no library.

Er... just copy-paste the whitelist? And hacking wouldn't be any easier - if anything it'd be harder since less lag would make it more obvious.

Suggested this a while ago and asked the devs about it and they said they were thinking about it, but they had to fix the main server and run it by the admins first.

Should just allow players to start a countdown if the other side gives no legitimate excuse to wait. "I'm not ready" is not an excuse - if you're actually just changing your settings you can ******* say so and I'll wait 20 seconds, otherwise I'm not sitting there 5 minutes for 20 retards to rock up. Should probably also make stalling bannable. The server really has developed a culture of stalling just for the sake of it which didn't really exist even a few years ago. I remember being in some small fight against the Reivers a few months back and everyone was ready to fight, but my commander kept saying we weren't ready yet because he was trying to run it by some other guy in VC who wasn't even there. Like that's just ******* ridiculous. Wasting everyone's time for no reason. Reivers should've been allowed to just /countdown there and charge. 10 seconds is plenty of time to backspace and stick your hand on your mouse.
