As the meeting breaks, dwarves shuffle off to the various parts of the city. Some stay behind to talk about the issues while others head to the tavern to drink away all the talk of dwarven politics with a good mug of ale.
Parchment is hung on the notice board and it is also sent out to the absent parties.
The opinions and concerns of the dwarves present at the meeting are as follows. Let it be known that these are just the opinions of the dwarves that attended, nothing is signed into action as they are just suggestions to the King and his council.
The Expansion of Kal'Akash:
The current expansion project of Kal'Akash has been met with criticism. The majority of the dwarves at the meeting said that the stairs leading down to the projected lower level of the city would not be the most beneficial to the city. The opinion of the senate meeting was that expanding the current cavern, or adding some side caverns to the current city would prove more practical for the city. This was the most unanimous opinion of the meeting.
It is also noted that building a separate area to the city would split the city into two parts.
Tax System:
The dwarves of the meeting thought it best to have a tax code that would tax houses and stalls as long as the prices were kept low. Clanhalls and guilds were not discussed as possible tax.
Payment of Kingdom Employees:
Currently there are not employees besides those of the Red Urguan's Workers Party that are scheduled to be payed. This is excluding any council members or senate members as they are servants of the kingdom and are not usually paid. Other unpaid employees include; guards, scribes, priests and others. To create incentive in these positions, some sort of payment should be discussed.
Empty Stalls:
It is the opinion of the meeting that there are not enough shops or merchants within Kal'Akash. The only stalls are either empty or previously owned by something that hasn't be reclaimed by the Kingdom yet and the few stalls that are actually active. Therefore, the senate's opinion is that more stalls need to be opened and sold to active merchants. Taxing the stalls will ensure that they remain active or else they are reclaimed by the kingdom.
The Future of Kal'Krest:
It is the opinion of the meeting that Kal'Krest is empty and needs to have something done with it. Most say destroy it. A Doomforged has laid a claim saying they could purpose this for their own clan. The hold at its current size would not be appropriate so either way it needs to be carved up drastically or destroyed altogether.
A Proper Senate Area:
It is noted that a proper Senate area could prove beneficial it these meetings ever get any larger or become more exclusive.
