House Arryn ~The Grey Coats~ History of the Family: The house Arryn was founded by Edward Maas Arryn and Mary Maas Arryn in Al’Khazar, Oren. A house of Merchants, they owned a library in the Market District of Al’Khazar – and there day lived with their two children, George and John. Edward stayed in the library the whole day and only went back home for dinner; his wife, Mary, went to the market in the morning, to buy fresh vegetables and meat for the day and in the afternoon she went back home to take care of the children and house works. Their home was a typical Al’Khazar house – a basement which served as a pantry and storage for other items; a 1st floor, composed by the kitchen, living room and a small bath room and finally the 2nd floor, with 2 rooms, one for the children and another one for Edward and Mary. When the undead took over Al’Khazar, the family went from being a wealthy family to a very poor one, only owning what they were able to take in their pockets. They lost everything, their home, library and most of their belongings. During the battle, Mary passed away and Edward was severely wounded. So then the Arryn moved to Alras, and there they bought a small house with their remaining minas. Edward and George tried to start a business on the jewelry area, by buying ores from the dwarves and then turning them into jewelry pieces. A few weeks after they moved to Alras, Edward found out that his wounds were infected; He passed away before the undead took Alras. When the boats left Aegis from the Verge, John accidently went into a different boat, while George went with the Teutonic Order. As soon as George arrived to the new world, Asulon, he looked for John, but never found him again. George moved to Hanseti and lived there for the rest of his life. He met a woman called Joanne; they had 3 children, Artus M. Arryn, Nyhelm M. Arryn and Edmund Arryn. But Joanne wanted another child, as she thought that Nyhelm was too weak to be a father, so she decided to adopt a boy, who she called Lucius Arryn, he was around 10 years younger than Artus, but they were truly best friends, while Nyhelm was getting drunk, and Edmund writing his stories along side with Artus and George. When the Arryn’s moved to Elysium, they settled in Oren and there they waited to move to a new world. Artus, when trying to pack as fast as he could to leave Asulon, found a painting of a house, surrounded by Pine woods, which he thought to be beautiful. There was just something so wonderful about the painting, like it had something to do with him, or the way he saw the world – and so he decided to take it with him. During the travel from Asulon to Elysium, George passed away, along with his wife, both from old age. Now, the family waited to leave Elysium, and find a new home, a better home. Personality and Looks of an Arryn: The Arryn have a medium physical condition; they always have violence only as a last resort. Their eyes are commonly light (Green or Blue), No defined hair color, this depends on their parent's hair color. Ranks: Recruit: The recruit is the lowest rank on the hierarchy of our House, he is the new member, one is a recruit for 1 elven week, until he is turned into a Footman by a sergeant or House member. As he is still in trial, to be chosen or not, he does not receive payment. Footman: The footman is the standard soldier of the House, he must be strong and have passed the tests of a recruit. He will get payed 200 minas each elven week, might receive more if thy footman completed quests given by a House member. Sergeant: A sergeant is the highest soldier rank, to be a sergeant you must have been a great footman, he has great leadership and fighting skills. He will get payed 300 minas each elven week, might receive more if thy sergeant completed quests given by a House member. Master at Arms The master at arms is the commander of the Arryn military, he gets payed 450 minas a week, it is very hard to achieve this rank, as there are few Masters at Arms.
