How do you know they were dead when taken? And how do we know what the offender thought? HJe may have thought they were alive. I think this is closer to torture and unacceptable.

I'd agree with Uthor. A trophy from battle should not require a VA as long as they're dead.

And to Joshua, she /was/ dead. She was stabbed multiple times in the chest. If you feel someone can survive that, please explain how?

I'd say as long as their death was from a provoked battle and as long as they're dead then you can take a small trophy without a VA.
