I don’t think that’s fair. some people really like relationship/romance RP. Romance RP doesn’t have to be sexual. It can just be a nice relationship exploring the dynamic between two characters.

It’s just something you need to handle carefully and I think it’s better to engage in relationship RP with someone who is your similar age. I’d also recommend engaging in relationship RP with someone who is your non-preferred gender OOC. Because then there’s no confusing OOC and IC feelings.

I’m someone who really love romance and I do romance on every character. It doesn’t have to be gross, grooming, or overly sexual.

@Telanir You gotta build your own communities within the larger RP community. like primarily find friends who are 20+ and hang out w them. 

I’m not saying adults and teens can’t be friends. I’ve made friends with some teens online. I give them advice and help them out. I try to be like a big sister or like a cool aunt.

but if you’re 25+ and find yourself mostly hanging out with 16-18 year olds, it’s time to reassess yourself.

eh I think it’s better in general to RP with people who are of a similar age to you.

I don’t ERP because I’m happily married OOC. but I just prefer to hang out with people who have a similar level of maturity to me. intergenerational friendships are nice, but there’s a noticeable difference between people who are teens and people who are adults in both IC and OOC behavior.
