  10. "Wot point is t'ere ov being a dwarf if yeh are nae competitive?" Ever since history was recorded, the dwarves of Urguan were known to be one of the most competitive out of the four main races. From war to physical labor, dwarves will do anything to just simply win. This carries on to more casual activities, such as brawling or ale drinking. Dwarves who are able to keep down the most ale are considered the strongest and most manliest of the dwarves. Typically the most talented ale drinkers eventually become greater dwarves - Skippy Irongut for example, renowned for his gut capable of downing multiple kegs of ale, later became Grand King of the Dwarves in Vailor. Every day dwarves can be found competing to become the champion ale drinker. How to play: 1) Both dwarves take a seat, facing each other at a table. Alternatively you are both facing a bartender while sitting at a bar. 2) There will be best 3 out of 5 rounds for standard ale drinking contests, but first to 5 also works. 3) Both dwarves receive the same amount of ale, and down it at the same time. 4) After both dwarves drink their ale, they both /roll 30. The winner of the round is decided by whoever rolls the higher number. 5) The loser of the roll has to reduce their next roll by 5 next round while the winner keeps their roll the same. This repeats until one dwarf is left conscious. Drinking Contests: Multiple drinking contests will be held at the feast this stone week [[THIS Friday!]]. Make sure to attend, you may make some quick minas off of being naturally talented! [[If you have any suggestions on more fun ways to run this event, please suggest! I had a really good system before, but I forgot how it went so this is the closest I got to remembering it. Happy drinking!]]
  11. Midgor Ireheart with support of the dwarven people march to Felsen to demand Oren release their vassals and are denied. Reason for this happening are traced back to tensions between the dwarven people and the Orenians over the stone weeks following Uldar's abandoning of the Grand Kingdom. The Holy Oren Empire declares war on the Grand Kingdom. Oren wins initiative in the war, going on to conquer Rhewengrad though quickly being routed off the mainland by the Legion. The Orenian Navy later sets its focus on the Island of Avar, conquering it after 3 battles - the last leaving the Orenian navy at 10 men.
  12. Should Thorgran hear of Fili's excitement, he would attempt to alert him if he wishes to fight for the title of Grand Champion he has to apply. If not, prepare to eat all you can!
  13. A tunnel rat would be sent back, but by smell rather than a return address. The note it has would read, "We are willing to pay your group 300 minas to cater at our feast."
  14. A letter would be sent back to Khataba, if read it would say "We always appreciate donations of ale and different kinds of meat for the feast!"
  15. Thorgran would sneakily cut the string off of Ioannis's bow, leaving him only a wooden shaft to use in battle.
  16. "Our bonds forged in steel will nae be broken, let us celebrate t'e toimes ahead ov us!" Small tunnel rats would carry letters two times larger than themselves to the settlements of Vandoria, the Horde of Dunamis, homesteads across the Vanderguan land, and somehow the island of the Kharajyr, all bearing the same emblem and the same message. Should the recipient chose to read, the letter would say the following. A feast is to be held in celebration of the forging of the Grand Empire of Vanderguan, those who receive this letter are hereby invited to attend! An empire is only as strong as it's weakest link, so let us grow together, firstly with a grand feast. Ale and assortments of food will be provided, and multiple events will be held to entertain! Such events include drinking contests, story telling, bagpipe playing, and lastly a grand tournament to find the first Vanderguanian Champion. If you are to attend, please send notice to the feast organizer Thorgran Ireheart in form of letter [[Reply to this thread!]]. If you wish to test your might in the one and only Ireheart arena, you must tell us of your name and race [[Reply to this thread again!]]. May this be the beginning of many happy times for our grand empire! GRAND TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION: Name: [[MC Name]]: Race: Age (no children or old folk!): Weapon of choice (sword, battleaxe, warhammer, etc (NO BOWS)): [[OOC Information: This feast will begin THIS Friday at 7 PM EST (sorry if that doesn't work for Europeans, but I am trying to also include the PST timezone) It will take place in the throne room in Kal'Akash.
