  1. ((Minecraft Name: Talias_)) Voting Ballot Name: Athedil Haler’thilln Age: 673 Vote 1: Alaion Miravaris Vote 2: Alaion Miravaris
  2. Having been summoned before the missive went out, Athedil simply gathered what little he had, and prepared to make a short return to Haelun'or, perhaps it would be a nice change of pace from his life as a hermit.
  3. *A letter with the sigil of the Haler’thilln Bloodline would find its way to the office of Maheral Iaria Elervathar.* To Maheral Iaria Elervathar My dearest friend, it has been far too long since last I saw you, I hope you are well. Might I first congratulate you on your marriage, you know full well that I do not approve of the man you chose, but alas, I do hope wedded life is treating you with at least some degree of delight and happiness. I hope to be able to visit you soon, so I might present you with my wedding gift, and perhaps catch up over a glass of wine or the like. Stay safe till next we meet, Malaurir Athedil Haler’thilln. PS. I heard you had started organizing the mages of Haelun’or once more, so enclosed in this letter you will find my application for this group of yours. Even if I do not live in the city, you know you have my eternal support, should you ever need me, you need only call, and I will come. Name: Malaurir Athedil Haler’thilln ((MC Name)): Talias_ Age: Iaria, my dear, I honestly cannot remember anymore, however, it is somewhere past the age of 500. What magic are you trained in, if any? Arcanism and Transfiguration, your father had agreed to teach me Celestialism, however, we sadly never got around to it. How do you lay claim to the fact that you are pure Mali'aheral? Well, by the fact that I was Maheral of course, not to mention my recorded bloodline in the archives, and my physical appearance. How long have you resided within Lareh’thilln? Well, as you know I do not live in Haelun’or anymore, and you know full well why I left. With that said, I still consider myself a citizen of Haelun’or, and a mali’thill of some repute, so I cannot see why me not residing in the city should even matter. Will you follow the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya to the letter in the pursuit of arcane knowledge? As you well know I have always, and will always, hold maehr’sae hiylun’ehya in the highest regard. I would sooner give my life, than falter in following the path that Larihei destined for us. What magical knowledge do you wish to acquire, if any? Life is about learning, and learn I will. However, for now I am already too occupied with other matters, to start studying yet another voidal art.

  5. Athedil sat within his apartment, reading over the missive. “Well I’ll be damned, Dimaethor is a liberal.” He exclaimed to himself as he pondered for a moment longer, before outlining his opinion aloud in the comforts of his own home. “He allows lessers - both valah and mali’ame - to stand above his kin and insult them, believing in unfounded peace and friendship with them, despite their unfitting behaviour. He disregards organized effort to uphold maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, preferring instead to sit back and claim the praise of others labour. Writing no books, designing no works of architecture, he plans, and then fails to see it all come to fruition because of his own slothfulness and ineptitude. And he has not improved over the years, instead he sits back and lives in self-righteous bliss of past achievements. Even getting angry, and threatening to kill people that dare to criticize him. The man is a hypocrite, nothing more.”
  6. While it is known that Malaurir Visaj and I have had our differences in the past, I can wholeheartedly say that I support him in this course of action. It cannot be denied that he is amongst the better leaders our kin have had throughout the eons of our existence, despite some of the steps he has taken away from maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. Now with the position of Maheral restored to what it was intended to be, we can start to build upon the foundations he created, to make Haelun’or a true bastion of the blessed kin once more. Within the Silver City, I can think of no one better suited to guide us than Iaria Elervathar. She held the position during troubled times, and guided us diligently for years. Let it be known to all, that she has my full support as one of the Malauriran, in her return to the position. May this tenure of hers be more blessed than the last, and not simply a fight against the impurity which plagued the city for eons. May elheial’thilln govern with the Sohaer at its helm, and may the Maheral guide as they have since ancient times. Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, may their joined leadership be blessed by the merit bestowed upon us by the golden pools, as they lead us down the path Larihei envisioned. Malaurir, Athedil Haler’thilln.
  7. A challenge for the Maheral As published on 21st of The First Seed, 1711 By the rights of ancient tradition I, Athedil Haler’thilln, challenge Dimaethor Visaj for the position as Maheral, upon his failure to uphold our tradition, and his utter disregard for our ways. Of all the challenges I have issued throughout my life, this one cuts me the deepest. To have to challenge a man that I myself named to the position of Maheral, it hurts me deeply that I so misjudged him in times passed. But he forces my hand, and I can no longer sit back and watch as he tarnishes the name of our people. His transgressions against maehr’sae hiylun’ehya are many, so we shall list them all. Mister Visaj is a drunk, he spends more time carousing amongst the people, than he spends being the example of unquestionable purity that the Maheral should be. He is loud and crude, lacking the superior tact and elegance expected of our people. Mister Visaj is irrational, seeing enemies in the shadows, believing even the animals and the plants to be but spies of an imaginary enemy. He lets himself be ruled by this irrational behaviour, denouncing the logic demanded by Larihei in favor of his own delusions. Mister Visaj is violent, for an age we had eradicated the use of acid pits, they were deemed immoral, a needlessly cruel and inefficient way to bring about the end of an impure. But now he has seen fit to bring them back, even going as far as to threaten the lives and bodies of sentient beings. Mister Visaj is slothful, he fails in his most basic of tasks to better those around him, ignoring the misbehaviour of his people, and disregarding his foremost duty as a teacher. As the center of our people, his lack of diligence infects our people, opening them up to a disregard for our ways. Mister Visaj is soft, openly refusing to question the purity of his subjects, despite their clear signs of physical impurity. He surrounds himself with those brown of hair, even accepting that they dye their hair to conceal the traits that prove their impurity. Mister Visaj is cursed by gold, so absorbed by his own righteousness that he writes off his elders. First Malaurir Lucion Sullas, when he himself had called upon him for a ruling, and later again when I sought to aid him in straightening up, in an effort to guide him back on a proper path. It is as a result of these many shortcomings that I, as a former Maheral of Haelun’or, now seeks to take the position from him, as I have taken it from the impure and incapable in the past. Despite having no desire to once again thrust myself into the political world of the mali’thill, I see no other option, as my dedication to Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya does not allow me to sit as it gets tarnished. Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya is eternal, as must we the mali’thill be. You cannot build an eternal people upon a foundation of fear, with no better argument than a blade pressed against the throat of a people. The mali’thill must understand the logic of the path Larihei guided us upon, or they will abandon it as soon as the foundations of the state begin to shake. They must understand that maehr’sae hiylun’ehya is the order in the chaos of the world, raised above the lessers as to not be tarnished by their ways. To be a bastion of purity we must follow a path that takes effort, that follow an agenda of long term stability, not short term victories. A mali’aheral coerced on to the path by fear of their life, they are not pure of mind, simply scared for their life. This is despite it being amongst the gravest of crimes amongst our people to kill an individual of pure blood, the mere threat of which is almost unthinkable. Mali’thill, I urge you to take these words into consideration, as I call for a challenge debate between Dimaethor Visaj, and Athedil Haler’thilln to be called, and a council of former Maheralan to give their judgement. Malaurir, Athedil Haler’thilln
  8. As Arelion departed Athedil spoke, talking to the back of the mali’aheral. “What proof there might have been against you and Mister Maeyr’onn now rests in the ruined caves below the old city of Okarn’thilln. Nevertheless it was a well know fact you saw fit to make puppets of souls, as you sat upon the council, and that the people you drew in to teach you carried impurity with them. You and Maeyr’onn left it to fester, and kept the truth from me as I was Maheral, even going as far as to barring my access to said caves, so I could not uncover what dark magics you practiced below the city. However, never did I claim your impurity nor that of Mister Maeyr’onn, only your lack of dedication to maehr’sae hiylun’ehya and your incompetance in ruling our people. If you do not wish for us to lose our ways, hand over the books you hold, Fi’halen is now the enclave of the pure, it is where those books belong. Once they are handed over, you can slither your way back into whatever damp cave you crawled out of Mister Laurir’ante.”
  9. “Did the teacher fail to teach or did the student fail to listen, was it my fault that you, Mister Laurir’ante and Mister Maeyr’onn were more obsessed with inviting dark mages into our midst in a bid for power, was it my fault that I kept having to give the same lessons over and over again because both of you were either too stubborn or too ignorant to take them to heart? When I departed because studies drew me elsewhere, I left Mister Asul’Ailer to do my duties as he was the only one in the city even close enough to sound of mind to carry them onwards. Never did I leave the seat empty, even when I finally resigned the position, I gave it to Larihei so the position would be kept pure in her memory until someone suited was found. That you and your council saw fit to name a slothful and weak Maheral is no fault of mine, I even offered my aid to Mister Vallei’tir, even if such offers fell on deaf ears. Call on the former Maheralan, call on Iaria Elervathar, call on Andria Fi’talareh, call on Ceruberr Asul’Ailer, even call on Cenwall Maeyr’onn, they will clarify what I faced in your utter incompetence Mister Laurir’ante. You took over Haelun’or as a deceiver, and then you leaned back in a throne as it crumbled around you. Why do you think it is that you cannot even step foot within this new enclave without the hateful eyes of your kin piercing your every move, you are a snake, you always were, you always will be. At least now you admit that you have no proof of my impurity, for there is none, nothing but empty words leaving the mouth of a man who drove a dagger into the back of his own people and now wonders why they despise him. With my purity no longer in question the chain of Maheralan stands, seeing as Mister Vallei’tir failed to name a Maheral the task fell on me, and I did as was required of me and named Mister Visaj. All that is left now is for you to hand over, that which you keep from the pure Mister Laurir’ante. The books of Haelun’or rightfully belong in Fi’halen, so they might be used to educate our kin in service of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, the only reason you have to keep them is out of spite that they could succeed where you so utterly failed. You are a disgrace to your people Mister Laurir’ante, you always have been, perhaps when you accept that you could start working towards earning their trust once more.”
  10. Athedil sighed faintly under his breath as he stepped up once more, “I would hardly claim the chain of the Maheral’s broken, Kulin’oem Vallei’tir may have been a weak link, but as he failed to do his duty, it simply fell to the Maheral before him. This would be either Ceruberr Asul’Ailer or myself, as Mister Asul’Ailer was never officially named to the position. Seeing as Mister Asul’Ailer seems to have departed these lands for now, it was only natural for me to take this duty upon myself, as tradition demands. I will admit that I misworded myself in claiming that it was not for me to name a new Maheral, when what I truthfully meant what that the duty should not have fallen on my, however due to the slothfulness of the former Maheral, it did. This is why my announcement was more than simply an endorsement, by right of tradition I was next in line to name the new Maheral, and I did as duty required of me, in service to the continuation of our people and culture. On the continued matter of my purity, I must admit that I doubt the fact that Mister Maeyr’onn supposedly questioned it, even in his departing words he spoke of me as an ally. Never did he make an announcement claiming any doubts about my person, never did he brings such doubts to me, never had I heard others claim that he did, not before Mister Laurir’ante. I also find it odd that these claims of doubt are only brought up now; should I truly have been suspected of impurity, such claims should have been made many years past when I was still Maheral, not now when it simply serves as an empty argument with nothing to back it. It simply seems too convenient that an individual with whom I have been at odds for years suddenly have claims of my impurity, just when it suits his needs in a debate. However, I will confer to Laurir Sullas’ judgement for now, and await evidence of my impurity. Should no such evidence be presented, I would ask that Dimaethor Visaj be allowed to continue as the rightful Maheral -- as he was named in accordance with tradition, and that any would be claims of impurity against me be dismissed. Should there be evidence, a council of former Maheralan should be called to make judgement, as only they may be considered pure enough to judge a Maheral.”
  11. Hearing his name brought into question, Athedil Haler’thilln stepped up to defend himself. “Before I even get started, might I first declare my utmost apologies towards Laurir Sullas, for any indirect involvement I may have had in you being called upon once more, it was not what I foresaw and not what I intended when I declared my support for this new enclave. I hope we will be able to handle this swiftly, so that you might return to your work undisturbed. To Mister Laurir’ante, who has now seen fit to question my purity and legitimacy as a former Maheral of the mali’aheral. I must admit I have never been approached with these claims supposedly made by Mister Maeyr’onn, when I stepped down from the position as Maheral I was on good terms with the then Sohaer of our state, while it is true that I openly doubted him, we were on civil terms with one another. This continued even as I later challenged his position as Sohaer, and even as he departed from our city. I cannot deny that he should possibly have denounced my name behind closed doors on a later date, but if this is the case I would have hoped that he would have approached me so that this might be discussed. If an announcement was made public with his denouncement, I must apologize for my ignorance in such a regard, after I departed from the city I grew less diligent in keeping up with its going ons. However, denounced or not, it should be declared that I ascended to the position of Maheral not only on the words of Mister Maeyr’onn alone. Andria Fi’talareh the very Maheral that named Cenwall Maeyr’onn to position admitted her mistake in doing so, which was why she aided me in convincing him to step down from the position and hand it over to myself. I have no wish to disturb even more of our elders with the nonsense of current politics, so I will not personally ask her to come and confirm this claim, should such be required I urge others to do this on their own volition. If my legitimacy as Maheral is truly questioned, then it is for a council of former Maheralan to declare, should such a fuss truly be required I will gladly stand before them and receive their judgement. I am well aware that it was not for me to declare a new Maheral, such should rightfully have fallen on Kulin’oem Vallei’tir, and should he have lived up to this task I would not have gotten involved at all, and I made this quite clear. But our people require a Maheral, a guide, for many of us are truly lost in these times. The people of Fi’halen presented Dimaethor Visaj, they named him Maheral of our people, it was only later that he came to me to ask if I would do him the honors of legitimising the position, as I was in his eyes a respected former Maheral. I chose to do as he requested, as I truly wished to see our people blossom once more, and if I could to but a little to aid in our kin rallying behind him, I would.” Athedil would step back once more, shaking his head lightly as the ‘debate’ continued.
  12. And thus a new day dawns… The Mali’aheral are a stubborn race, a persistent race, an unyielding race, no matter what evils the outside world may accuse us of, untrue or not, this much cannot be denied. Despite the fall of our ancient nation, the Motherland, our Haelun’or, we refuse to break, we march on ever true to Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. With the silent departure of our former Maheral Kulin’oem Vallei’tir, he proves too slothful to even fulfil the simplest of traditions, the handing over of the mantle as the guide of our civilization. It is for this reason that I; Athedil Haler’thilln, former Maheral of the mali’aheral, step up to do his duties for him, in declaring a legitimate successor to the position. The mali’aheral, now once again united in a home of their own, saw fit to present Dimaethor Visaj as an individual suited for the title, and the guiding role which it entails. While I must be honest in declaring that I know little of the man, he has proved his worth through actions. He came to our people during an era where snakes roamed the streets of our once beloved city, where Larihei was abandoned in the face of personal ambition and greed. In spite of this he persevered and guided our people forward, even as our walls crumbled and turned to ash around us. It is for this reason I now take great pleasure in legitimizing his position as Maheral in accordance with our ancient traditions, rising him to the position of an elder amongst us. I hope that he will continue to guide our people forward in the times to come, and that he will seek the guidance of his fellow elders should doubt ever come to him. May an age of silver be upon us, Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. Athedil Haler’thilln
  13. Athedil almost clapped in his hands as the news reached him, rare were moments of such happiness on the road. “Thank Larihei, it finally happened, the snakes are planning on leaving Haelun’or, and here I feared they would make a mockery of our kin until they finally withered away to old age.” The mali’aheral shook his head, as he let out a faint chuckle. “And the Maheral who saw fit to question my capabilities when I held the position, has proven to be one of the laziest we have ever had. Well, perhaps now the city will finally crumble, so it can be properly reborn in a few hundred years as it was upon Asulon. Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, you impure degenerates, maehr'sae hiylun'ehya.” As he finished talking to himself a content smile appeared on his lips, as he continued on his travels.

  15. Athedil could little but shake his head as word of the new Sohaer reached him, “And thus the cycle continues, a mali’ata once again sits at the head of the Silver State, proudly announcing his victory just an elven day after he snaked his way around his opposition. I am glad I gifted him gold, I wonder if it is time he got another piece.”
  16. He complains about a lack of candidates just eight elven hours after the result of the first election was announced, what is this man, stupid? And then he announces his own candidacy in the same announcement as the one in which he declares the beginning of the vote. I know I have never personally been one for elections, but when they are there, at least try to do them properly, if you can even manage that Mister Laurir’ante. If this does not prove why I have my doubts about this man, and why I do not trust him, I do not know what will. He is a disgrace to Larihei and her people, not worthy of Haelun’ors legacy. I am not even going to honor this fraud of a vote with my participation, it should be nulled and voided, allowing people to share their candidacies working up to a proper election amongst our people. - Athedil Acal'elor
  17. With the vote for Sohaer passed, the votes have been counted and the valid ones picked from the invalid. With a record low participation of seven votes of which only six are valid, the vote has ended in a tie. With that I, Athedil Acal’elor announce my loss in the vote. While it cannot come as a surprise that I had hoped for an outcome in my favor, I cannot say that I am too surprised. I wished to appeal to the purest of our people, the ones who truely cared about our ways, but as might have been expected, those have long since left Haelun’or. Our people have been declining for an age, while I served as Maheral I tried to slow the degradation, but a single ‘aheral can do little when he stands against a flood. I saw this as a last attempt, a way to change things for the better without having to convince others who were less willing to take the needed steps, as I could simply take them myself. Now we stand here at the other side of the bend, walking into an unknown future. I wish Mister Laurir’ante the very best of luck with restoring our people, while it is true I have many doubts about the man, I hope that he will be able to succeed where so many before him have failed. Should he fail however, I have only this to say, Haelun’or is but a nation, while it may hold many tales of old, and many traditions to its name, it remains just that, a name. The mali’aheral who follow Larihei’s path have long existed elsewhere in this world, and they will continue to do so long after Haelun’or is but a memory. Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya is ever enduring, perhaps in an age a new group of mali’aheral will find the eternal college like we once did in Asulon, and from them a true Haelun’or will rise once more. It is one of those many matters that only time has the power to prove right or wrong. For now I wish my people the very best, may an age of silver be upon you. Athedil Acal’elor.

  19. "And here I seem to recall that the Golden Butterfly had no offspring, thank Larihei for that, it brings one to wonder what this individual really is, claiming to be a descendant of the mali who started our downfall." Athedil sat there shaking his head lightly, “I mean this man even has trouble spelling the parts he hasn’t simply copied.”
  20. A simple note was found in reply. Is this not saying, those who speak out against the pure dare not even put their name on their ridicule. I spoke up against a man who lead you to war, who time and time again have proven his impurity. I explained why I believe Cenwall to be unfit to rule, we shall let a debate prove who is right and who is wrong - If Mister Maeyr’onn honors tradition and shows up -.
  21. "An impure Sohaer and council cannot be allowed to rule, I challenge him not by right of our laws, but in adherence to ancient tradition." Athedil would write in reply, continuing with a small side note. "But I do not expect a banished impure murderer to understand such matters."
  22. In adherence to ancient tradition, I Athedil Acal’elor challenge Cenwall Maeyr’onn for his position as Sohaer. For years this child has reigned by false ideals, unable to understand the true path Larihei envisioned for her blessed people. He along with his incompetent council have let you astray, he has taken our people away from wisdom, away from knowledge, away from silver. Under his reign he has killed mali’aheral in acid, he has cast people in gold, he has shown that he is cursed with violence, much like the curse that rested on his ancestor Nelecar the Lion. Instead of teaching his people he has lead you to war, wasting your lives for a pointless dream of power. Much like Kalenz the Butterfly he is cursed by gold, more focused on the affairs of lessers, than the development of his own people. He attempts to return us to a time that ultimately lead to the world seeing our kin as a sickness to be cured or cleansed by fire, seeking us out to do us harm and bringing us ever further from our ideals. It is time to look back my fellow ‘aheral, back to a time where we were true to maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, to a time where those words were set as a standard driving our people towards ever greater heights, instead of being used as an excuse for why we should rule over others. The road forward from where we are now is full of hardships, unworthy ‘aheral and mali’ata have left our nation and its people in chaos and disorder, and it will take time to restore Haelun’or to a time where we were truly a beacon of scientific progress within this world, a time where we valued our neutrality and did our best to remain out of the destructive politics of the outside world. Lucion the Worm once spoke of blessed neutrality, a state of politics where we sought relations with the outside world, yet stayed out of their wars. Was this not a better alternative to the needless deaths and suffering, caused by partaking in affairs that should have nothing to do with our people. Larihei taught us to shun violence as it was the weapon of lesser minds, we have no stake in their infighting, nothing to gain, nothing but a way to prove the impurity of this nation, and why it needs a change in leadership. May we find purity through isolation Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya

  24. Athedil still seemed to enjoy his stay away from the Haelun’or, this time he had found a pleasant little spot under a tree near the cloud temple to enjoy yet another glass of wine - He was running dry, a dreadful situation to be in to be true. He spent his time catching up on worldly news, or atleast the news he seemed to care about, which were few these days. “Such an odd last name, or is it simply because she has translated it to the common tongue for some reason, Titania Star, it should be Titania Celia, ah well, it matters little.” He muttered to himself as he continued reading, “Well I suppose she does point out some present issues, but what internal issues are she talking about now.” He shook his head lightly, before making it to the quote, “And then she quotes an impure who did next to nothing with his position, she must be new around Haelun’or.” He finally made it to the end, “What is this with ‘the mali’aheral shall rule once again’ bit, hopefully she isn’t another Kalenz supporter who wants to rule the world, we’ve had quite enough of those.” With a faint sigh he grabbed his wine glass once more, taking another sip, much to his surprise emptying the glass.
  25. Athedil sat in the inn at the cloud temple, enjoying his time away from Haelun’or and his former duties as Maheral of the Mali’aheral. As he came upon the notice and took some time to read it over, he came to laugh so hard he almost choked on his wine - which would have been such a shame, seeing as it was one of his last bottles from Axios - He quickly sought to regain his composure, making sure no one seemed to be eyeing him strangely. “My, my, so first they perform acts of savagery in mutilating one of their own kin, and now they want to act like they have even the faintest idea what maehr'sae hiylun'ehya is. To think these fools lived in Haelun’or during our more enlightened era, it seems they learned little. Ah, how I wish we just ended this idea that maehr’sae means progress, it may be the closest translation into the common language, but its real meaning is the creation of knowledge and wisdom, so it means progress specifically in that area.” He shook his head lightly as he spoke to himself, “Also, what is this with dressing up like spooks, these people are odd indeed. Perhaps they were dropped on their heads as children, but then again, one of Iat’s children seem to be amongst them, he doesn’t seem like the type to drop his kids, and the statistical chance of all of them being dropped is also quite small.”
