  1. *a boy, in running clothes, arrives at the Guild Hall. He drops a poster on the ground in the hall and leaves to tell the applicant of the delivery* MC User Name: ryanheff74 In Game Name: Full Name: Nobody Nick name: Bod Character's Location: ((IG)) Usually Salvus but I taint own a home yet Bio (as detailed as possible and must include how you learend of the fallen and went about requesting to join icly): Bod has no memory of his parents whatsoever. He was raised in an orphanage until age 5. He wasn't liked there but he managed to get by, but the hard lashings that the orphanage owner gave him molded him into a tough child. He stole bread and water from the kitchen when not supposed too and even snuck out at night to look at the stars. At the age of five the orphanage burned to the ground, no doubt by the owner who hated her job. Bod roamed the countryside for a bit and ended up following a horse and cart to Salvus. In Salvus he stole books, coins, and food. His only way to knowledge was eavesdropping and reading, about the only thing he had been taught at the orphanage. After living in the graveyard, under a bridge, and on the rooftops n opportunity rose for a potential safe haven. The burned down house! Soon enough the house was reconstructed after Bod had dodged guards who tried to remove him. Now Bod is cared for by nobody, but occasionally fed and looked after by the tavern outside of Salvus. One day somebody recognized him as his father. His hopes that his father was an adventurer were crushed because his father was really a careless drunk who left his mother. His mother became depressed and gave her unnamed child to an orphanage where he earned the name Nobody. Bod was stumbling down the road and dodged a horse charging by him. He grabbed his slingshot and let a rock slam into the rider's head knocking him off the horse. Bod sprinted into the forest and came upon a dropped poster that had a purple flame on it. He tore off the application and stuffed it in his pocket. Bod sat on the cathedral tower in Salvus. He took out a piece of charcoal and filled the application out. He slid down the tower and found his courier friend. He convinced the boy to find The Fallen Guild Hall. Why do you wish to join this guild: I have been an orphan on a street since 5, in my 12th year I became smith but preferred the way of a thie and left my mentor. Now 13 I wish to e contacted by the Thieves Guild but long for a family to apply my skills to while I wait or even find a family I wish not to leave. Your Specialty (IE: Personal skills or abilites) : Thievery, stealth, and my wooden club. Your Combat Focus (skill focus and write your style) If force into open combat I will hold a wooden club in one had and my dagger in the other. I consider myself a Rogue, I do not like to be forced into combat and prefer moving like a wraith around possible enemies. What is your character Alignment? Chaotic Neutral Skype and teamspeak? 6. The Application [Questions] MC Name: ryanheff74 Why do you want to join? My character has been a thief for all his life but longs for others like him. I wish for more rp thievery and more fun rp opportunities. How will you provide the guild and the LOTC community with a great RP experience? Bod, being a child creates fun rp for all because a child thief is hard for some to punish but also creates commotion if caught. Bod also loves to cause chaos, creating fun, and exciting rp opportunities for guards and citizens alike. What do you think are vital in RP? (I.e Emotes, RP fights over MC fights etc) Descriptive emotes, rp fights, then if it is a large scale fight pvp. I also think it is vital to stay cool and deal with trolls, power-gamers and meta-gamers with a level-head. To break the Guild laws, or the Server laws is instant banishment unless in a specific circumstance where you are offered an appeal form by the Guild, do you understand this? Absolutely [Character Questions] RP name: ryanheff74 Biography: Bod has no memory of his parents whatsoever. He was raised in an orphanage until age 5. He wasn't liked there but he managed to get by, but the hard lashings that the orphanage owner gave him molded him into a tough child. He the took to pickpocketing, a skill he learne by observing other thieves throughout Salvus. After living in the graveyard, under a bridge, and on the rooftops an opportunity rose for a potential safe haven. The burned down house! Bod skulked into the unstable building, swinging from support to support to an abandoned loft, where for the next year his home would be. Soon enough the house was reconstructed after Bod had dodged guards who tried to remove him, and his safe haven was lost. One day somebody recognized him as his father. His hopes that his father was an adventurer were crushed because his father was really a careless drunk who left his mother. His mother became depressed and gave her unnamed child to the orphanage where he earned the name Nobody. Currently he has become a smith’s apprentice and draws weapon designs, sells the weapons, and learns to smith smaller weapons. But, in his free-time and at night he dons his hood and begins to steal and cause mischief. He wishes for an opportunity to join other thieves and pursue his dreams but for now while he waits to be noticed he works as a smiths apprentice. Personality: Bod is very impulsive, he isn't very good at lying but he is cunning, deceptive, and clever. Motives: Bod loves causing trouble, it delights him to see the stupid guards wobble around in search of a thief who is already gone. Also he needs food, and stealing food is a great way to get it because it also involves risk. He has a great greed for coin, his biggest desire is to become the most infamous thief in all of Anthos. Aspirations: Bid wishes to become infamous throughout Anthos. He wants his thief name, The Red Wind, to become a house-hold turn. [Open Response. Answer all questions] You notice a rich foreign merchant in the markets browsing wares such as jewellery, weaponry and armor. You notice a stall owner has just walked away from his stall for a few moments, several guards are patrolling the area, the merchant walks towards the stall to browse its wares. To the North is a sewer grate you could escape through, though the guards seem to be patrolling it more than usual. How will you pull of this thievery? Bod approaches the merchant, "Ello sir, these jewels are overpriced, my mentor is selling them much more cheaper." Merchant: "Where is he?" Bod tells the man to go to Kastoria, for many jewels are being sold by his mentor. After the merchant leaves on a wild goose chase Bod pretends to trip and knock over the wares and jewels. While picking them up and replacing them Bod slips a ruby necklace into his pocket and slips a diamond ring onto his finger. Now Bod walks out of the city, satisfied with his work. The Upright Man has asked of you to steal a scroll from a house that is just outside the city limits of Alras, the house seems to be alive with laughter and drunken men, you look through a window to see the chest is in the room, while 5 drunken men sit around the fire telling war stories, they seem armed but drunk, you see in the corner of your eye a small hole in the roof into the room. The door hinges are old and rusty, it can be easily kicked down. How will you pull of this thievery? Bod knocks on the door yelling, "Orcs! There are Orcs down the trail harassing my family!", Bod slips into the bushes beside the house as the drunk, confused, battle hungry, men run down the path into the night. One man, passed out from drinking, was forgotten. Bod can't wake him up so he scrambles to the top of the roof. Slowly he flips upside down into the hole and begins to climb upside down towards the box. The box is carelessly left unlocked so Bod doesn't need to use his lock picks. He then drops stealthily to the grous but in the process the floor-board squeaks! The man begins to stir and his eyes burst open. Bod slips under the table and waits for the man to leave or fall asleep again. The man seems very worried that his friends are gone and bursts out of the house in search of them. Now Bod stands upright, opens the chest, an retrieves the scroll. He slips it in his deer skin pack. Bod walks out the door, left open by the drunk and disappears into the forest. An old man has taken rest from his travels under a tree, his bag is to the left of him, he appears to have a dagger on him. In the far distance you see some travellers coming, though they are still a far while off. How will you pull of this thievery? Bod sits back in a bush, waiting for the other group to pass by. Thankfully they only acknowledge the resting man but he stays laying by the tree drifting off to sleep. Bod slowly approaches the tree and sits in a bush barely a meter away. He takes out his slingshot, and slips a rock into it. Bod then lets a rock fly across ye road, slamming into a tree. The man stands up, forgetting his pouch and begins walking towards the other tree. Bod quickly snatches up the pack and walks off casually. Now he nears a concealed position and counts the coin, food, and items in the bag.

      Watty_Banker

I dont trust PS, In the past I had two PS2s and both broke after about a year. I popped one of them open and discovered in a sealed case saying "Do not open" there was a battery.

      Watty_Banker

Whereas my first Xbox still works after 12 years. The only problem with it is the disc tray doesnt always come out because the belt is broken and one of the controllers disconnects due to dust stuck in the wire.

  10. To evaluate on my slingshot suggestion: One. Great guide this helps new players a lot. Two. To add to this guide I think slingshots could be added. They are extremely portable, can shoot almost anything (rocks, metal balls, and I have seen even arrows, etc.) They are cheap, somebody could make a slingshot out of two sticks, so it is recomended to buy one with hard wood/metal/ anything durable.
  11. You should add slingshots, people can rp bows as slingshots.
  12. *Bod smiles* Shieldys shouldn't have told me no, now the Rebelses got Bod the Sneaky.
  13. ((OOC Begins)) Character Name: [Child] Bod MC name: ryanheff74 Skype (if you Have it) name: none What branch of rebel you'd like to be: Shadow
  14. Is the composite bow like a recurve bow? Or is that a different thing? If so you should add the recurve bow.
  15. Very well written too many times people's orphan story is that their parents were killed by plundering orcs or some freak accident or died heroically in battle. My orphan Bod has absolutely no memory of his parents, was raised in an orphanage for five years then it burned down, then he became a sort of Huckleberry Finn in Salvus. Again great guide!
  16. *teara down his previous note having been informed by Naffog and deciding that he shall head back to the Edict*
  17. *places a note near the sign* I have already spoken with Naffog who says that there are open positions for scouts in the Edict. I was wondering if a scout recieves the same or different pay and rules as a soldier. Sincerly, Former Edict Rogue, Ryan Darkwood
  18. *notices the poster sighing* "Maybe one day I shall return to the family but for now my allegiance lies with The Rangers." *continues on his way down the path towards Ranger Lands*
  19. The Application [Questions] MC Name: ryanheff74 Why do you want to join? I want to liven up my rp and Learn the ways of thieving. How will you provide the guild and the LOTC community with a great RP experience? I will create different problems throughout my expeditions and if Im doing my own thing create a problem that may affect an entire nation. Also I will not always "win" or "succeed" to be fair. What do you think are vital in RP? (I.e Emotes, RP fights over MC fights etc) Emotes, rp fights, just plain staying in character, not always having to win or succeed and to have a good skin. To break the Guild laws, or the Server laws is instant banishment unless in a specific circumstance where you are offered an appeal form by the Guild, do you understand this? Yes [Character Questions] RP name: Ryan Darkwood Race: Wood Elf Biography:(( Taken from my Va )) My character was left on the street as a child with his younger brother. They lived in the wild at an early age but where eventually taken in by a mercenary faction. They were quickly trained in the assassin division of the guild. Ryan showed an extremely skilled understanding of acrobatics and dagger work. He also wielded a bow and throwing knives. One day him and his brother were on a mission to kill a diplomat. Little did they know this mission would part them forever! The human closed the window and the trio, Ryan, his brother Lucas, and a human named Drift, snuck inside the embassy. With his cross bow loaded Lucas snuck around a corner, the diplomat was behind a door. Ryan picked the lock and the three easily dispatched the 5 guards who had been protecting the man. Before they could react the man pulled a slingshot and shot an explosive ball, Ryan lunged on top of him with his long dagger against the mans neck. Right then a young hafling walked through the door. In shock he examined the scene and immediately began to cry. He tugged on Ryan's cloak beginning him not to kill his father! Ryan remembered being an orphan, how looking at other families felt... the grip on his dagger loosened and finally he backed off. Banging on the locked door on the other side of the room erupted, the guards had heard noise. Enraged Drift loaded his crossbow and shot the diplomat between the eyes. The door flung open , the guards piled in, the hafling lay crying in his fathers blood, the window and door open and not a trace of the killers. Ryan had been banished. Hunted down all over Aegis. Emerging with multiple scars including one along his face give to him by his brother. Ryan lived the rest of his life wandering the forests, deserts, plains, and mountains of Aegis and Asulon. One day Ryan met another wood elf, Vigilance, she was tan with purple eyes. Her long dark hair flowed as they hunted together. They loved and adventured with each other. One day while in Oren, a group of shopkeepers chased down the pair because they had voiced their opinion on outraging prices. Crazy with anger the most fit shopkeeper chased the pair through the wilds to a cliff. Here he tackled and pushed Vigilance off a cliff. She tumbled into the river below. In fury Ryan stabbed the man three times and then leaped off the cliff. He landed in the rushing river gasping for breath. Vigilance hadn't been so lucky, she landed on the rocky ground next to the river, dead! Ryan buried her, to never love again and always carry her bow with him, carving wolves into it like she always had done. Ryan ventured from one city to another, he joined The Malinor Sentinels of Asulon, joined The Crimson Edict in Elysium, but never really settled down. Pulling off thieveries and being a bandit when financial troubles or greed for adventure took over Actions. Personality: Ryan dislikes Oren but not to the degree were everything he does is against Oren. He is very kind to everyone unless they are rude or disagree with him. He is quick to jump to conclusions sometimes picking sides without knowing the details of a conflict. Motives: Ryan wants adventure. He always strives for action and suspense an can never settle down. Aspirations: To become a master thief and to become a well respected thief among others. One day he hopes to aid in the overthrow of Oren. [Open Response. Answer all questions] You notice a rich foreign merchant in the markets browsing wares such as jewellery, weaponry and armor. To the North is a sewer grate you could escape through, though the guards seem to be patrolling it more than usual. How will you pull of this thievery? Tell the man that I a stall owner tells of extremely low prices for clothing. As he walks over o the clothing stand I slip some of the stalls rings in his pocket. I go whisper to the guards that he has stolen some jewelry. The man is soon being questioned by guards. They have found the rings and begin I wrestle him into custody. In the confusion I slip some jewelry into my pocket and sprint over to the grate and leap in. Find a wild pig, kill it. Next smear the blood on my face and legs. Run to the door, smash through it. Tell them that a group of bandits has attacked my family an I need valiant and brave men to get then back, they took them into the wild! The men are sent on a drunken wild goose hunt throughout the wilds with their swords unsheathed. Sneak around the house and pick the lock to a chest, grab the scroll, and escape as the drinks realize what has happened! An old man has taken rest from his travels under a tree, his bag is to the left of him, he appears to have a dagger on him. In the far distance you see some travellers coming, though they are still a far while off. How will you pull of this thievery? Instead of robbing the man I sit next to him and engage in conversation after a while The travelers pass by. I knock the old man out and yell, "Help he has passed out!" The travelers drop there luggage and come over to help, in the confusion I swipe some of their bags from the road and am off into the forests.
  20. ((Is this guild still active?))
  21. Ryan Darkwood sees the poster, sighs, muttering "Some people can be so racist against the Orcs just because some are bandits, many are valiant and trustworthy warriors."
  22. Is the thieves guild in anthos? If so what city?
