  1. A bird is sent out to all major and minor settlements in Vailor, bearing the Orvari smithing seal; a flaming hammer and anvil. The text below would be simple, cleanly written, and easy to read. The Bloodborne Metalworks, situated in the Caliphate of Khalestine, is holding another auction. This time, we have two rare and highly valuable items. First off would be a recipe for the Sword of Thorns, an interesting and rare blade that only a skilled woodworker could hope to make! Bidding for the Sword of Thorns Recipe starts at 8000 minas. The buyout has been set at 20,000 minas. Next up we have a Tome of the Tinkerer, chock full of knowledge for both your aspiring and mastered Tinkerer alike. This item is being sold by my lovely lifemate, Ketiley of Orvar, but any questions and bids you may have may be accepted by me! Bidding for the Tome of the Tinkerer starts at 1000 minas. The buyout has been set at 5000 minas. Place your bids, but please specify which item you are bidding for, and the amount you are offering. Happy bidding!
  2. Is there a map of Vailor with locations/nation borders on it?

  3. Bloodborne Metalworks, located in the Caliphate, has recently come into the possession of a rather strange, glowing, magical tome. One could gain more knowledge in the art of fishing if they were to read it's pages. Thus we are taking bids on the tome, and to the highest it will go.
  4. Does anyone know how much Profession experience the tomes give, exactly?

    1. Guy d'Yood of Mann

      Guy d'Yood of Mann

It's strongly based on the level of the skill you already have. Hence, a veteran Enchanter will gain more out of the tome than, let's say, Apprentice.

  5. Are there still diamond weapon recipes? Or any blacksmithing recipes?

      Blacksmithing, yes. Diamond, no.

I'm afraid I don't know. Only know about that stuff because my friend is a daemonic blacksmith.

  6. So is it completely impossible for an Orc to speak common because of their tusks? I love speaking Blah but I'd also like the option of going common, situationally. Like Warcraft Orcs.

      Zarsies

Blah exists because of orcs finding it easier for grunts and more deep-pitched, gut-tightening to work with while their speech is slurred when speaking Common due to their tusks. Together, Blah is what it is. Orcs speak the way they do because they're trying to speak Common but their tusks are warping their speech (for the most part, there's always characters that are just goofy and do it regardless).

My characters tusks are arent very prominent anyway. I'd still talk with a slight distortion, and I love the blah. Just making sure no one is going to give me **** if I talk decent common. Thanks!

      ~ Fiend ~

Oh they'll give you ****. People have mixed opinions (see what Zarsies said), and some people aren't aware the distinction between lore and culture. Just keep calm and let 'em know you know what you're doing. ;)

  7. Is there an updated guide for Blah? Or a full comprehensive list. Anything.

  12. Is the lack of animals intentional? I'm a hunter and I've been out for hours, all I've ran into was a chicken. I found the boundary of the map and beyond it there were tons of cows and pigs, however.

  13. Character Name: Morvan Orvar Nicknames: Bloodborne, The Indomitable Age: 24 Gender: Male Race: Human (Gorundyr) Status: Rebuilding his people; Defending the North Description Height: 6’9” Weight: 383 pounds Body Type: Thick, Muscular Eyes: Dark Green Hair: Brown, shoulder-length, but usually kept in a braid. Skin: Pale Markings/Tattoos: Each arm has a spiralling wreath tattoo, starting at the wrist and ending at the shoulder blades. It then joins to his natural birthmark, that of a jagged hawk. Morvan believes Ankou gave him a piece of his divine soul and thus reveres him above the others. The tattoos are done in the Celtic style and represent the unity of the two remaining sky gods and the brotherhood that they share. Health: Healthy Personality: Curious, Adventurous, Charismatic, Bold, Spiritual, and Ambitious. Morvan does what he views as best for his people. He likes to get in the thick of battle and believes that he cannot fail in the eyes of the gods. He is perhaps too trusting of outsiders and puts a lot of weight in friendship and strength. Finally, Morvan can be too rash at times, often making decisions before thinking of every possible outcome. Inventory: Morvan keeps many charms and pendants representing his gods on his person; Wristbands made of leather and eagle feathers, a necklace wrought in the image of Lagara atop the Heart Tree, and a hunting knife adorned with a wolf-head pommel are among the most important. Life Style Alignment*: Neutral Deity*: Argal and Ankou are the two Gorundyr gods Morvan holds in the highest regard. Religion: The Gorundyr faith and their pantheon of gods. Alliance/Nation/Home: Morvan is the leader of Clan Orvar, the last remaining survivors of the Gorundyr people from Anthos. Job/Class: Warchief of Clan Orvar, Hunter, Blacksmith, Brewmaster Titles: Chieftain, Battlelord Profession: Blacksmith; crafting weapons is his speciality. Special Skill: Herbalism, his mother taught him how to concoct tonics and other herbal remedies. Flaws: Rash, compulsive, and quick to trust. Zealous if his beliefs are threatened. Weaponry Fighting Style: Close-quarter fighting style. He likes to get in the thick of battle and use his size and strength to demolish his enemies. He is also known for a more reserved fighting style when using his shield, typically when forming a shield wall with his brothers. Trained Weapons: Battle axe, Bearded axe, Shield, Bastard Sword, and Longbow. Favored Weapon: Bearded axe. Archery: Prefers to use his longbow for hunting, though he will use it in battle to cover a retreat. Biography Parents: Mabon (Dead) and Aventia (Dead) Siblings: Torkel, Hafgan, Aeron, Mullo, Senua, Aela, Percival (Half) Children: Aedan, Aero Extended Family: Ragoros (Uncle), Andartus (Cousin), Tyke (Cousin) Pet: Falahnyr, a large eagle that Morvan uses as a hunting companion. History Born to the icy wastes of the Savaar in the northern reaches of Anthos, Morvan’s arrival coincided with the first scourge attacks on the Gorundyr. Helpless against these demons, the people of Clan Orvar took his survival as a sign from the gods. Very few other children had lived through the harsh cold and plague that assaulted his people. The gods had given them one who would lead them safely from the maw of the scourge. Morvan’s birth took a severe toll on his mother. As she sat losing blood and her vision began, she saw a cloaked figure enter the hut. Its face appeared black, with blood red eyes peering out from under its hood. It spoke to her in the ancient tongue of the Gorundyr and moved over to Morvan. The figure reached towards him and carved a small rune into the flesh of his forehead. As quick as it had come, it was gone. Aventia, Morvan’s mother, lived through the ordeal and told him the tale when he was older. He believes Ankou gave him a piece of his divine soul on that night and he has pledged himself to the gods service. Morvan fled the Savaar with the remaining vestiges of his people and took up leadership of the Clan after Mabon, his father, fell in battle at the cloud temple. Ambitious and proud of his heritage, his sole goal is to rebuild Clan Orvar and preserve the legacy of the Gorundyr. Artwork Sigil that would be found painted on his shield. The two birds would be black, the background hide painted dark blue. Similar to what he would look like, though he would be larger.

  21. Sharp piercing cries came from the cage as Grim approached. Reaching out, he went for the cage door and opened it. The hinges groaned in protest as the way was opened and bird within hopped out. It looked at him inquisitively, tilting it's head left and right. Finally, it's curiosity sated, it hopped out onto his outstretched wrist. Euphrates was a falcon he had captured in the forests nearby, a skill he had learned from his youth. He had always been good with animals and had even oversaw the breeding and management of four large pens, once. The bird would serve as a means for him to send his messages, once it was fully trained, but he wouldn't deny the fact that he just wanted a companion. A sad smile bloomed on his face as he walked over to the window. Outside sat a gazebo that was occupied by half a dozen people trying to escape the merciless heat of the afternoon sun. Grim extended his wrist and whistled, prompting Euphrates to leap off his perch and dive into the fresh air. He smiled as the animal raised up into the sky and then dove again with immense speed, plunging directly into some nearby brush and out again. It looks as if the birds prey would be an easy catch today. Grim eased down into the chair beside him and continued to observe the melodic movements of the birds flight. He had spent his time doing this a lot lately, using the time to plan for the incoming war. Once it began, there would be no more time for any of them to rest.
