Update on the mystery of the swollen gums: Dentist said they're swollen for 3 reasons: the wire from my braces was poking the gums, my cold has caused both my gums and throat to swell up, and I DO have Wisdom Teeth coming through! TRIPLE WHAMMY.

Saliva glands are working overtime, not sure if this is a result of my swollen gums or cold.

Got a swollen gum at the back of my molar, could be a growing Wisdom Tooth, Gingivitis, or as WebMD usually suggests: cancer. I'm guessing Wisdom Tooth as it's only affecting one particular area. Hurts like hell when I open my mouth or try eating.

Can't swallow anything without my throat hurting. Stupid cold.
