You will never be able to get rid of OOC ever. If you removed OOC chats people will just find away around that like skype. We've seen this with TS and even though LotC's TS is down and nobody joins it because of DDOS, people just went around that and made their own TS for their friends or nation. Even if you force there to be no OOC at all such as no OOC chats, or forbidding any out of game OOC communication, people will still find a way to get around that regardless of server rules. The only OOC problem I see, is people using OOC communications too much and bringing it into IC on lotc. The dwarves do it all the time, and I am sure other people do it as well. Honestly if GMs or Administration wants to fix this, then just enforce the 'no metagaming' rule more harshly.

-Thoak shrugs after hearing news of this so called 'Underkingdom'- "Bah, 'oot seems t'at Kazraden was tae mediator between both tae Starbreakers an' complete starkdom, and noo' t'at 'e is missin' 'oot seems tae Starbreakers 'ave gone completely mad. Even I 'o most cave dwarves who despise both how tis kingdom is ran, an' both tae Moontain Dwarves, an' Forest Dwarves find tis most foolish, an' probably tae most foolish t'ing tae Starbreakers 'ave ever done. Ye cannae simply declare yerself a king, an' claim such independence w'en ye only 'ave four lads an' nae support from any ot'er clan, 'ur nation."

Events will draw people back, and good RP. Right now with all honestly I do not believe the dwarves are capable of producing RP that is non-trollish, or breaking the forth wall, and until people can get past the stupid and childish phase I do not believe we will attract people to the capitol, especially for events when all that people want to do is break the forth wall and troll. If we are going for events, I believe we need to have unique events rather than just feasts. We need to have the clergy get active again and have events for each week (ingame month) celebrating each of the Brathmordakin and perhaps decorating the city for that Brathmordakin for that week. We could also have short holidays celebrating the Paragons as well. There is plenty of stuff we can use for events, but people just don't use it and would rather take the easy way of just having a feast for no reason whatsoever.

It wouldn't be hard at all to reconstruct the inner city into just a throne room. You would simply have to remove the whole 6 rich houses there, along with the 1 clan that is living there and you would be good. Very easily could those rich rooms be used as housing for embassies, or something along those lines. Right now the inner city is completely useless since clans do not want to live in there it seems, and nobody has purchased a rich home since release.

So you are basically wanting an early Anthos Abresi? As I remember early Anthos Abresi was similar to this idea with the city in the middle and the manors of each house/guild scattered about the large areas of land they had, but was still within city limits. I assume you want the city part chopped down and just have clanhalls in each corner of the valley.
-
My concern about holds is that we do not have enough players as we did back in Asulon. We will have abandoned holds of clans that are no longer active, or clans complaining because a few of them are active but can't claim land due to the new nexus plot region and how you have to be on 4+ hours a week. Eventually all I can see from a hold system is clans forming together into 2 holds and that is it. As far as having an underground city, I do not believe there is even enough space for such a thing. The mountains that make up our valley are paper thin, and I myself has had troubles building stuff in the mushroom caves due to the paper thin mountains. We would have to layer the city with 3 or so different layers going down and really all that will do is spread out roleplay even more.
-
The city is a step down from the previous Kal'Azgoth and lacks many details. The layout of the city is terrible especially for businesses, and companies. The inner city is pointless and spreads out rp. It should of just been kept a throne room. Honestly I do not get a dwarven vibe from the city itself, and I do not agree with the nordic/cartoony architecture I am getting from it. I do agree that we need to keep the city were it is now, but utilize the land better than we are using it now.

-Thoak stands by one of the posters, overhearing the two- "Aye, tis simply shoos t'at tis is nae some foul Ironborn play wit' tae Irongrinders. Za'rer was probably 'orribly killed by somethin' ot'er t'an an' ancient evil."
-
-Several posters are nailed to several of the large pine trees within Kal'Agnar- "It has come to the Grand Merchant's attention that the situation with Zahrer, and accusations of Ironborn affiliation with the Irongrinders has surfaced. With the great grace of the Grand Merchant, he and his Assistant Vakun is willing to share this news with his comrades within the kingdom. They both have uncovered a torn page within the house of the most likely dead Irongrinder after discovering that the locks upon the door of the house have been removed by someone, or something. The journal states the following: "I figured it out. I have went through all the notes we collected and all the data we compiled. I know their secret! But they know that I found out." The following words appear smudged or erased however the page continues on "They are coming! They're smashing against the door now! I shall have to make my way past them and get this note to the library. I must get the message out. The-" The words upon the page ends. You all may take this as you will, but the house of Zahrer Irongrinder is now claimed by the Kingdom of Urguan, and the Grand Merchant. Any attempt to seize this house will result in arrest by the legion. -The poster ends, it flutters in the mountain breeze as you finish off reading it-
-
Thoak chuckles as the letter is read to him- "Tae Irongrinders 'ur tae ruiners 'o tis kingdom, an' tae reason tis kingdom is nothin' but a sinkin' ship! T'ey 'ave nae power in tae kingdom anymore, an' t'ey shoold 'ave nae power as t'ey 'ur nothin' but abunch 'o 'alfblooded mongrels, a simple clan 'o dregs an' commoners."

most original name everrrrrrrrrrrr cant wait guize 4 dwarfday1!11!

Thoak notes that houses 1-17 have been lowered by 50 minas, but now houses 18-19 because they costed more than the regular houses, and are bigger.
-
<script type="text/javascript"> //</script> -Thoak retorts back at Sharr's claim- "'Ur business between ye an' I 'ave nothin' tae de wit' taxes, an' tae kingdom. Ye e'iter pay tae tax 'ur leave tae city."
-
-A new month for taxes- 1st of Grand Harvest, 1471 The first, and official tax week is now over. Taxes have been documented, and dirt has been received. If you are unsure if you have payed your tax, check the taxation office and find the chest with your house, or shop number on it. This week also marked a new age for the Urguan Kingdom with Grand King Fimlin being elected as king. His first act of power is to lower both prices, and taxes of houses. The now price and tax goes as follows: dwarf_house1-17 - 1000 minas dwarf_house18-19 - 1500 minas dwarf_inside1-14 - 2000 minas dwarf_hall1-6 - 5000 minas dwarf_poor1-8 - 500 minas Taxes: dwarf_house1-17 - 100 minas dwarf_house18-19 - 150 minas dwarf_inside1-14 - 200 minas dwarf_hall1-6 - 500 minas dwarf_poor1-8 - 50 minas Taxes will begin next stone day. If you have received dirt in your taxation chest, be sure to pay both your tax from last stone week, and the tax for this stone week.

-Thoak actually agrees with the Grandaxe for once-
-
-Thoak Goldhand stands and listens to the performance before muttering to himself- "Even a few petty street performers knoo' t'at tis kingdom is weak, an' full 'o corruption an' greed. Wot shame."
-
-Thoak continues his work within the caves, not caring for what is happening outside-
-
-Notices are pinned throughout the capitol- "Taxation will begin next stone day ( Monday September 1st ). All those who have already payed their tax will be noted and will count toward this stone week. All those who have not payed their tax will have until the end of the 6th stone day (Friday) to pay their tax for this stone week."
-
-After the random dwarf shouts, Thoak mutters- "Tae taxes can easily be looered to 5 percent 'o its original price 'oot was sold fer, but in no way shoold t'ese hooses be free! Per'aps lowered in pricin', but nae free. As far as a checkbook, I am never told wot tae T'anes an' Grand King spends tae kingdoms mina on. If ye 'ur willin' tae go throogh such tae efforts in makin' a booklet 'o wot ye spend on tae kingdom an' send it tae me for I can compile 'oot into a checkbook tae be publicly released to tae kingdom, den so be 'oot. As far as tae Starbreaker an' Grandaxe Clan'alls, t'ey 'ave strived fer t'eir clanhall an' raised tae mina tae purchase 'em. 'Oot shoold be a feat t'at is accomplished by tae clan, nae handed 'oot fer free! Also, tae Ironguts noo' 'ave a clanhall within' tae city 'o Kal'Agnar, so 'oot is nae just tae Grandaxes an' Starbreakers."
-
-A dwarf shouts- "If ye want tae improve tis bloody city, get rid 'o its shite architecture an' dull arse style 'oot was built in"
-
"Aye, an' we can blame tae greedy thanes that 'ave elected t'emselves fer kingship as soon t'ey all voted tae remove Midgor from tae throne." -Thoak shrugs before tossing the parchment out of his window, the cold mountain breeze taking it-
