Regent Vasili stands stoically, watching with contempt as the Northman's head rolls across the stones of the Petrus square, only to be kicked aside moments later. As he heads deeper into the city with his contingency of guards, he murmurs only one thing: "Hail Vydra."

[Ooc] A Song Of Ice And Fire: The Bleeding Years
Vanir replied to Cracker's topic in Athera OOC Archive
Hey, sorry for the wait. Cracker's computer is buggy, hopefully he'll be on again this evening and look over all apps -
House Gardener, Kings of The Reach Gawain Gardener, Protector of the Seven, Lord of Highgarden, and sovereign ruler of The Reach, sat comfortably upon his throne, looking out over the crowded throne room. Banners of all those sworn to him hung high from the balconies above, yet none stood out like his own. Much larger than the rest, the banner of House Gardener was trimmed in gold, and hung directly above his throne. It was made of the highest quality silk, produced here in The Reach. Around the edges of the room stood Gawain's personal retinue. Two hundred Reach Knights lined the room, standing behind the large crowds of court-goers. His children--22 year old Tomas Gardener, and 16 year old Rebecca Gardener-- were at the edge of the crowd, surrounded by their own stalwart guardsmen. Gawain's Privy sat below him, at a table set up at the base of the throne. A few piles of paper, about a foot high should they all be combined, were scattered across the table. The small-people, who had brought their woes and worries to their King, began to file out as Court was adjourned. The large crowds trickled out of the Keep, followed by the King's personal Guard- often referred to as the Greens due to their bright green ceremonial armour-who then shut the doors. The large hall suddenly became silent. "Give me an update of all our holdings." Gawain commanded, setting his crown to the side. He hated how heavily the damned thing was, and would only wear it when court was in session. "Of course, your Grace. I shall begin with the reports from Lord Hightower." The Marshal clears his throat, and speaks. "4000 soldiers in Oldtown, comprised of 2500 Heavy infantry, 1000 light infantry and 250 Reach Knights. 2000 troops in Bandallon, comprised of 1000 Heavy Infantry and 750 light infantry, and 250 Reach Knights. 2000 troops in Brightwater Keep, comprised of 1000 Heavy infantry, 750 light infantry, and 250 Reach Knights." "Good. And now, my holdings?" Gawain asked, directing his attention to his steward. "Highgarden: 6000 Heavy Infantry, 6000 Light Infantry, and 3000 Reach Knights. Old Oak:1000 Heavy Infantry, 1000 Light infantry, 500 Reach Knights. Ashford: 2000 Heavy Infantry, 1500 Light infantry, 500 Reach Knights. Horn Hill: 2000 Heavy Infantry, 1500 Light Infantry, 500 Reach Knights Golden Grove: 1000 Heavy Infantry, 1000 light infantry, 500 Reach Knights. Cider Hall: " The man took a few deep breaths, before seating himself. "And our treasury?" Gawain asked, looking to his Treasurer. "2100 gold, my Liege. Your treasury is expected to double, however, within a few months. The war has left very little scars on The Reach, resulting in a high number of trade routes coming in and going out of the Kingdom. "I want an additional 1000 Heavy Infantry and 1000 Light infantry sent to both Bandallon, and to Ashford." The Treasurer nodded, subtracting 1600 gold from the Kingdom's budget. "Also, I want 1000 Heavy Infantry and Light Infantry from Highgarden sent to Brightwater Keep, and another 1000 Heavy and Light infantry sent to Old Oak." The men nodded, quickly writing down his orders on the parchment in front of them. "I want the remaining 500 gold spent on improving the roads between and Oldtown, Bandallon and Brightwater. Get as much done as you are able with that 500 gold." Gawain scratched his beard and readjusted his spot. He turned his attention towards the end of the hall as the large Mahogany doors opened. Several of his Greens marched into the room, leading a significantly smaller man in. Gawain spotted the colours of House Lannister from his throne at the other end of the Court, and stood. "A Lannister! In Highgarden! My, this is indeed a surprising sight. Not often to do see a Lion walking through a garden." Gawain said with a laugh, making his way down the stairs towards the young man. "Welcome to Highgarden, boy. I'll take it your father sent you?" "Yes, your Majesty." The lad said, bowing before him. "Very well. Come, we shall head to my Study, and you may tell me what your father wishes of me." Motioning for his Knights to lead on, he led the young Lannister towards the Royal Study. "See to it that my orders are followed, immediately!" He called over his shoulder, sending the Privy into a frenzy. House Hightower of The Reach Lord Persius Hightower, the Voice of Oldtown, Defender of the Citadel and Beacon of the south, stood high up above the clouds. He leaned against the railing of his family's namesake, gazing out over the City of Oldtown. Oldtown was, without a doubt, the most beautiful city the wizened Lord had gazed upon in all his lifetime. Houses upon house and shop upon shop stretched out across the landscape, almost to the point where one would require superhuman site to take it all in. Everything was almost perfect. Almost. The ports, normally overflowing with traffic had thinned out recently, most likely in response to Ironborn aggression. The famed Reach fleet had been smashed by the sub-human pagans, leaving the Home of The Faith open to attack. There were thousands upon thousands of people depending on The Lord of the High tower, and he would not let them down. Pushing away from the balcony, Lord Persius made his way downwards into the heart of the High Tower, to the spot where his small council was assembled. "My Liege." The council members echoed, rising from their seats. Beckoning for them to sit, Lord Persius took his spot at the head of the table. Various documents were spread out across the tabletop, ranging from letters from family to marriage proposals. "Give me an update on the situation of my holdings." "4000 soldiers stationed here in Oldtown, your grace. 2500 Heavy Infantry, 1100 light infantry, 400 heavy Calvary. In Bandallon, where Ser Moryn Hightower is, the garrison includes 1000 Heavy Infantry, 750 light infantry, and 250 Heavy Calvary for pursuit and scouting purposes. In Brightwater Keep, where Lord and Lady Hightower are staying, among the Florents, the garrison includes 1000 Heavy Infantry, 750 light infantry, and 250 Heavy Calvary." The man seats himself again, double checking the numbers on the scrolls. Lord Persius nods his head, lightly scratching the stubble on his cheeks. "A good start. I want you to find out from the Harbormasters about the cost of Warships, and how many we could fit in our ports. We'll need a first line of defense for when the Ironscum assault us, as they most certainly will. I want double postings of archers on the walls. They have permission to fire at the first sign of Ironborn excursions." The Marshal nodded his head, scribbling down his Lord's command. "Also, I want recruitment to be stepped up. I want another 1000 Heavy infantry trained and recruited. 500 will be stationed here, and 500 will be stationed in Bandallon. 1000 more Light infantry as well. 500 in Oldtown, 200 in Bandallon and 300 in Brightwater. See to it immediately." Persius says as he rises from his chair. The scraping of chairs echoes against the stone floor as the council rises respectfully as their liege departs. Lord Persius found himself looking out over Oldtown once more, this time from his own quarters in the upper part of the tower. A small smile was etched across his face as he listened to the laughter of his younger sister, Lady Gwen, as she walked the halls with her entourage. He knew that some day soon, he would have to marry her off to some Lord. He knew, too, that when that day finally came, he would miss her terribly. Lowering his head, he looked back down to the freshly written letters that were scattered across the desk, allowing the cool Ocean breeze from the open window to dry the ink quicker. One letter to his liege, King Gardener, one to his mother and father , and the Florents, at Brightwater, and one to his younger brother, Moryn, at Bandallon. The Lord of the High Tower knew that this uneasy peace with the other 6 Kingdoms would likely not last long, and he wanted them all to be prepared for it. For now, though, Lord Persius was tasked with defending Oldtown; with defending the very center of The Faith of the Seven from the marauding Ironborn pagans. He would be the bulwark that stood tall against the uncivilized brutes of Westeros, and he would bear that task proudly. Actions: Unit consolidation: 4000 troops in Oldtown, made up of 2500 Heavy infantry, 1100 Light Infantry, and 400 Reach Knights. 2000 troops in both Bandallon and Brightwater Keep, both garrisons comprised of 1000 Heavy infantry, 750 light infantry, and 250 Reach Knights. Unit recruitment: 1000 Heavy infantry, 500 going to Oldtown and 500 going to Bandallon. 1000 Light infantry, 500 to Oldtown, 200 to Bandallon and 300 to Brightwater Keep. Letter sent to King Gardener of the reach. It contains information on the state of the Hightower holdings, and of the suspected up-and-coming Ironborn raids on Oldtown and possibly Bandallon. Harbormaster of Oldtown was asked about the coast of ships (war and transport), and the limit of each. Remaining Coffers: 200g

[Ooc] A Song Of Ice And Fire: The Bleeding Years
Vanir replied to Cracker's topic in Athera OOC Archive
Application Skype name: You've got it. Do you wish to play a GM? If you play a GM you probably can't play a faction: Not currently, though if I end up getting wiped out, sure. Faction of choice: House Gardener of The Reach. Why you picked said faction: I've always regarded the Reach as one of my favourite Kingdoms/Groups within ASOIAF. They've always been renowned for their political and military importance, and are truly one of the most Chivalrous and civilized factions in all of Westeros. They take Chivalry and Faith very seriously, something which truly influences the choices they make; sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. They would be a very interesting and important faction to play. Biography of faction. Describe your family in age and characteristics along with proving you read your faction's information section. Be realistic with family size, names (pick them based on historical members of your dynasty, ex. Mern for Gardener) age and personalities/capabilities: Led by the wise King Persius I, House Gardener and the Reach have flourished over the past centuries, becoming one of the most powerful Kingdoms in all of Westeros. The prosperous times of the Reachmen have been challenged, however. Scores upon scores of young Knights and noblemen have fallen victim to the savagery of Houses Lannister and Durrandon, and perhaps worst of all: the Ironborn filth. After the devastating defeat of the Reach fleet at the hands of these petty raiders, morale within the Kingdom is rapidly falling. And, to top it all off, raven after raven was arriving from the High Septon, urging the combat-hardened King to mobilize his armies and protect the faithful followers of The Seven. Tough times were ahead for the Reach, but House Gardener would stand as a bulwark against savagery, and bring peace and prosperity to Westeros. The House of Gardener is made up of several well-known family members: King Persius I Gardener: A combat-hardened man of 28, King Persius took the throne at the age of 18 from his father after his 'resignation' due to health concerns. King Persius is an extremely cautious ruler and is often prone to outbursts of anger when things do not go his way. He is an excellent fighter and strategist, preferring a simple Hand-and-a-Half sword and a kite shield. Princess Gwen Gardener: Persius' younger sister, Gwen Gardener is the stereotypical Princess: heavily spoiled, entitled, and constantly searching for her Knight in shining armour. Born ten years after her older brother, the 18 year old Princess is in her prime. Despite her girlish appearance, much like her brother and other family, she was schooled in the art of warfare and economics. Lord and Lady Gardener: Parents to the current King Persius, Lord and Lady Gardener reside in there own private section of Highgarden, peacefully living out the rest of their lives. Persius' father, Garth Gardener, has been sick on and off with a flu-like illness, keeping him bedridden more often than not. The constant illness has taken it's toll on the former King's mind, as well as his wife's mental health. Prince Moryn Gardener: Younger brother of King Persius, Prince Moryn is similar to Persius in many ways: they both recieved heavy schooling in economics, Kingdom management, Religion and Warfare. Slightly bitter over the fact that he was born 5 years too late, Prince Moryn tries his best to distance himself from Highgarden, opting to travel with the Gardener forces to further his combat knowledge. Because of this, Prince Moryn is one of the greatest generals in The Reach. Can you be active? A post every 2-3 days at minimum is expected:Of course. -
Vasili Vanir sits silently to one side of King Andrik. He lightly taps his fingers on his thigh as the accused is brought in. Straightening out his beard and uniform, he leans back as Lothar reads the charges. A few men of the 1st and 2nd Regiment stand silently around the edges of the room.

-1. Doesn't really seem like a fit for the ET. The RP that I've experienced with him was dull, and he seemed to complain a lot in OOC chat after losing. Sorry bro. Maybe some other time
