I'd say that sets a bad precedent when messing around with souls. Souls have always been one of the more complex things in our lore, and if we allow one piece of well written lore to go through that's missing this small tid bit then it could be disastrous in the future. Can't really be a natural occurrence, as the soul naturally goes into the soul stream and then a body is recreated by the unseen monks.

What attracts the soul to the Shell rather than the soul stream?

It's rather obvious I'm a fan of both alchemy and sci fi, however there is one issue with this lore. The process of the soul transfer appears to be undefined - and alchemy lacks the ability to directly influence souls. How is the soul transported into the new body?

INDUSTREH But yeah, I'm a big fan of this lore. I could certainly see a very innovative non-combat magic come out of this Aengudaemon as well.

I like it, includes needed clarifications. I also like the addition of more utility abilities, definitely something that makes it feel less like an inate combat magic. Although I do have concerns, particularly with the empowerment of enchantments. Is the empowerment of enchantments temporary or permanent during creation? How strong is this empowerment? Other than that I'd simply suggest adding the other rituals to this, although I assume you're adding that with runes.

I'll be looking into this over the next few days, I'll be reworking the construct's disabled sprint.

This is on my phone, so I really can't promise a thorough response. As I've stated in previous replies the magic does two things to allow this: 1. By stealing a portion of soul essence the scoundrel is capable of mimicking what allows for another holy practitioner to practice it, in this case it is the living flame. 2. The trinket is used as the means of casting the magic, not the scoundrel themselves. Given, due to this the trinket becomes a massive weak spot. Over the demi ascended I understand what you're saying, and truly personally preferred how the ascended used to simply have different abilities in the silver sect rather than being limited to one thing. A scoundrel is also only capable of casting soulfire, just as a demi-ascended would - yet the scoundrel faces hordes of weaknesses in comparison to the hordes of benefits any ascended receives. While an ascended is immortal a scoundrel must put their life on the like to progress, while an ascended possesses a small regenerative capability a scoundrel becomes weak to ascended magic while casting and if their trinket is broken they are sent unconscious, while an ascended receives a strong barrier about their soul a scoundrel progressively loses willpower and becomes a creature of greed.
