  1. "Such hostility," responds Dounkeh.
  2. 'Red' fans over a parchment summarizing the events, a slightly confused expression across his face, "Retaliation for aggressions against our allies, sure. I watched them threaten and attempt to kill men around the bridge from the Cloud Temple. Retaliation for support of the undead sounds a bit eh... Far fetched to me. I wonder if we've any proof beyond simple words." Shrugging, he tosses the parchment into a mound of unfinished paperwork and departs his living space, curious to Godfrey's reaction.
  3. ((And you were just talking about how you were going to wreck our **** on the TS the other day. Come on, man. Well, either way. Be seeing you around, Griff. The Coke is too strong.))
  4. An abrupt crackle of splintered wood fills the air as buildings begin to fall in Petrus, countless rats scrambling from the falling structures. Several men take axe to supports, others shovel debris into carts and a few figures stand a short distance behind the men, directing work efforts. The reconstruction had begun as instructed, plans for some sort of garden still being discussed as the section's replacement. 'Red' observes the matter from the town's square, having idle word with a few citizens of Petrus. The conversation coming to conclusion, he's approached by courier and handed two applications, one of the men already at work. Shortly after, response is sent to Caldwel, "Approach Petrus and keep an eye out for any men of the Hounds, they will direct you as needed. Until we meet. -'Red' "
  5. ((Having mixed reactions to this. The avatar then the topic at hand. lol))
  6. Side eyeing Godfrey, 'Red' simply shrugs, having precious little to say on the matter.
  7. ****, forgot to hit 'F.' Oh well.

  8. 'Red' fans through a large pile of paperwork, shoving a pile a field manuals onto the dirt-ridden floors before his desk, having forgotten the invitation to the matter. Eying the parchment over, he leans back in his seat, restraining audible groan and after a moment's passing he chucks the letter back into it's pile. Shaking his head, 'Red' gestures across the room to another officer of the Hounds, "Oi, young one, go and gather Godfrey. Yes you, Horen Boy, get off your arse and do something worthwhile. I've no idea what occurred in tha' gathering as I've missed it. He'll fill me in, seein' as I wasn't abou' an' such."
  9. The next two notes are handed over to 'Red,' a mound of paper work already atop his desk. A short duration later response is sent, Report to Petrus. You will be housed and training will begin before long. - 'Red' of the Hounds. ----- ((Finals week for me. Friday and onward, I will pick up activity. Until then, I will not be active until some time in the evening. ))
  10. Things in Motion, the slips are handed over to 'Red.' A brief response is sent via courier to the two current recipients, Apologies for the delay in response. As you've likely heard, matters are in motion. Before too long an officer of the Hounds will come to you and in the event that you just don't care to wait for such things to occur, we will likely be occupying a space within Petrus. It should be nearly impossible for us to miss one another. - 'Red,' of the Hounds.
  11. 'Red' approaches Godfrey as he sits upon the throne, hands cupped behind his back. Side eyeing those present he leans in and mutters to Godfrey, "He has been informed, as requested."
  12. ----- Brief History Originally established as a frontline force for the barbarian forces of Aeldin, the Imperial Hounds were tasked with the utter annihilation of a greater force. Most fights a blood stricken stalemate, those of the Hounds were forced to adapt their equipment, strategies and unit compositions with minimal training between skirmishes. Seeing a typical casualty rate of roughly 60% per battle, the ranks were continually filled with eager but ignorant young men, the majority never seeing the end of their war. For more than a decade the Imperial Hounds were the battering ram of the 14 year War, a maul used to tear down every impregnable fortress or unassailable citadel that dared to stand in the path of the Emperor. Its liege lord was likewise known as a ruthless and effective warlord; a master strategist whose razor-edged mind could fathom the hidden weakness in any foe and exploit it with savage and decisive action -- a general to whom defeat was anathema and victory worth any price paid in blood to gain it. The Imperial Hounds became a byword for punishing warfare and for mastery in siegecraft, both in defence and assault. The Imperial Hounds were arguably the most remorseless and among the most feared of the Imperial regiments. This was not simply because of their power in battle or force of arms, but also because there seemed to be no loss they would not accept to ensure eventual victory and no hell they would not endure to reach their foe. Although specialising in entrenched and attritional warfare, the regiment also had a number of formations and tactics that enabled it to operate in concentrated and crushing force in an attack. The Imperial Hounds came to believe that victory came through sheer relentlessness. Their weapons, while not ornate, functioned without flaw. They did not manoeuvre in fanciful patterns to confuse the enemy, instead they stood their ground and waited for the enemy assaults to falter before striking back with fatal force. Any environment or situation their liege lord and his commanders could not compensate for, the Imperial Hounds would overcome through sheer stubborn resilience and painful endurance. The 14 year war coming to it’s bloody conclusion, the remnants of the Hounds were a scar ridden mess, most of the men suffering various mental ailments and physical handicaps. Despite this, the name was carried forth as reminder, an honor to those wounded and fallen. 3 Decades passing since their hasty creation, the Hounds now face regular training with various forms of weaponry, are expected to specialize in the usage of various siege tools and are expected to make up the backbone of any frontline offensive. As their liege lord left the lands of Aeldin, a small portion of the unit followed, hoping to make their mark in Athera. As of 1483, The Hounds have settled Dragon's Peak. The Hounds have occupied Petrus. ----- Ranking Structure Captain These men stand second to their Liege Lord. They create and maintain the standards the Hounds are expected to upkeep. The Highest attainable rank within the militant order, these men establish strategy and maintain the activity of their order. Sergeant - Sergeant of Arms - Disciplinarian These men look over a group of Linemen and typically fulfill a specific role for the entire Order. They are expected to keep those beneath them within a set standard and are personally responsible for training their men. Lineman The Bulk of the forces. These men are trained with 2 to 3 set roles and are expected to act within standards set by their superiors at all times. ‘Runt’ The untrained and fresh faces of the Hounds. These men have yet to earn their way into the ranks. Uniform distributed after satisfactory training session(s) is/are met. ----- Medals and Rewards of Service ----- Recruitment For matters of Assistance, feel free to approach The_Sultan or TgTemplar in-game. If you'd rather just send us a PM, contact either myself or 'Sultan.' --------- Standardized amassing and training Schedule. 13. Arching a brow, Thersist eyes the notice over, "Book? Did they alter their methods of binding from gemstones? Odd."
  14. Thersist side eyes the random faceless figures that would likely only exist long enough to toss a quick jab at an opposing party. After an extended moment, respond, "Who the 'ell cares? Ye' both sound pride ridden an' as reactionary as e'er. Unfitting for a couple o' gentlemen tha' consider themselves above the average, yeah? Besides, why reference non-existent 'istory to further yer' perspectives? Don't ye' know these people ne'er existed 'ere an' yer' stranglin' the Fourth Wall in a rather childish manner unfit for the general populace tha' prods at this shite? But by all means, continue. No' a damned soul gives a runny shite." Nodding, he sticks his thumb into his mouth before taking a seat and watching the 'rep counter,' unintelligible dribble echoing on.
  15. Thersist side eyes Edmund, restraining a sigh, "For wha' reason do ye' justify your e'ery breath to those that claim no hostility but criticize our e'ery move? No' a word is owed an' no' a word is deserved. Allow them their petty fits an' hostilities. The Stafy made their decision, an' we need no' speak on the ma'er any further. Nor do they need to explain themselves."
  16. "All these people with no gravity at all. Opinions for DAYS, from both commoner and 'noble.' Reminds me o' 'ow Malinor supposedly worked. E'eryone tossed their opinions in as if they'd any value, thinkin' tha' people actually cared. Eh, back to ignoring the drones an' awaitin' the words o' their 'ead." A moment passing, Thersist twitches slightly before dragging his palm down his face, "Great, now I'm doin' it as well."

  19. Dragging his palm down his face, Thersist side eyes Quinn, "Ye' make me second guess me decisions, ye' know tha'?"
  20. ((Love the instant resort to OOC on an IC bit! Thanks!))
  21. Arching a brow, Thersist looks over the distributed pamphlets before looking back to speaking figure. Shaking his head, he restrains a chuckle, "No' e'en a full day an' 'e's backed on 'is intended word by already threatening a group 'e'd offered potential peace. Know wha' tha' is? Coercion. Know wha' tha' stinks o'? Tyranny an' foul play. This one 'as got spine an' unlike the others, 'e's not made a deal with Iblees only to be found ou' by the Creator an' struck down with this piss excuse o' 'illness.' Righ'! Back to rebellin' then."
