Except for the rebuilding part, and the getting back items part, and the getting them out of the town part. I woukd agree with you if we kept a limit on how often and how destructive a raid could be.

Simply, I think once we reach 4.0 all of the special treatment for Oren, Conclave, Urugan and Krugmar (High elves to a certain extent) should be removed. If a group of players is active and has a city or village then they are just as valuable to the server as a town who's nation has existed for longer. This woukd mean that: Oren, The Conclave, Urugan, HighElvenPlaceThing, Alras, The Princedom of Fenn, IvyBend and any other independant group of players that come into being would all be on par. Wih the new plot system this would be even easier if I understand how it works. I'm posting this to try and create a discusion, as I saw this was briefly mentioned a while ago and deserved it's own thread.

I never would have guessed your age. Deckolo is by far one of the best choices you could have for a GM.

Only Staff Members Can Be Leaders (4.0)
Iosif replied to Hunter (sckolar)'s topic in Anthos OOC Archive
No. This would remove any political rp and just makes no sense. You want a revolution? NOPE. You want to TRY and be a leader? NOPE. Seriously, what if the leader is comepletely ****? What if there's somebody who icly should be the leader, but they can't because they arn't staff. Good leaders are rare and it's stupid to oust them for somebody with little to none rp leadership experience. -
A Proposal To Lock All Of The Magic Subtypes.
Iosif replied to Cyndikate's topic in Thales and the Fringe Roleplay Archive
I actually support, although if we were to bring back apps they need to be very simple. How did you learn this ic? Who was your teacher? How long have you been studying? What other magics do you know? Then there would be a few questions so as to demonstrate they know how to rp the magic, and it's red lines. -
MC Name: MushyNinja Character Name: Dolmith GlowRot (Treebeard soon) Character Age: 43 Appearance: Quite stocky but not exactly fat, he has fairly dark hair and a braided beard. He wears light green clothes with some leather mixed in, as well as his red, gnome like hat. Short Biography: Dolmith was raised in the forests with his mother, hunting and carving for a life and selling his wares in Lenniel. He was somewhat reclusive and spent a lot of time in the forests, never integrating into Dwarven society. Dolmith was one of the last ones to migrate to the Fringe, only leaving his home when the constant attacks became to much. Foraging and hunting has been next to impossible in the Fringe which has led him to try and make contact with the rest of his kind. An image of the skin you intend to use http://imgur.com/jy1EbKx

This looks absolutely amazing! Though I think a few cons could be beneficial to the whole thing. (Is that an oxymoron? I think it is.) The Thanium ore crystals harming them is a nice touch! Stere clear of gold or silver as those are way to common. Maybe there could be some way to either force a change or un-change, or detect one in their unchanged form? I think some kind of an environmental fear would do well, alongside a manufactured one. I was thinking either hydrophobia or Arson phobia.

I have never been able to keep a horse for more then a week. Whenever I leave it tied up outside my house or in the stables, somwbody breaks the lead, lets it out and claims they found it like thqt. Maybe if we could tell how long it has been since a horse was ridden? A week or so of being unattended and I think you should be able to steal it.

[Idea/brainstorm] Werewolf And Vampire Brainstorming
Iosif replied to Tristanx7's topic in Denied Lore
You keep referencing "Your Lore", wwould you mind elaborating on that, or linking us? -
I think people should be allowed to rp children, but only if they have somebody to actively rp as their parent or guardian. In our world a child could just not survive without one. They would either be killed by exposure, stqrvation or bandits. Also this kills Ghoul rp, you have just taken away our prime food source. (Jk)

No it can't. You may taint a water supply though which would likely act similarly. Over all I think this is a wee bit to similar to the effects of necromancy, but it can be improved away from that.
-
Its been clear for a while that Anthos was on it's last legs.To many ghost towns and the whole political structure was botched. At most if we continued down our current path wihout the Fringe then Anthos might have a few more months before becoming an eyesore to the extent people leqve.

Behold! A New Realm Is Revealed - The Fringe
Iosif replied to Alan's topic in News & Announcements Archive
The fringe is AWSOME! It does feel somewhat... Unfinished and difficult to traverse. I think if we were to have a temp map like this there would need to be some differences. Firstly the mountains. I think many of them look great but they need to be atleast partialy hand made wih voxel sniper, or lowered. Alot. When they are all so unrealistic and extravagant they lose something. Also since they are so dificult to traverse so very ugly stairs and such will pop up. Some areas feel very unfinished. Very sharply cut biomes and mountains. Also I would get it in deserts but some variation needs to be added to the obsidean planes. Just some boulders or jagged spikes could really add alot to it. This was written on my phone late at night, so I apologise for all spelling errors. -

Application MC name: MushyNinja Timezone: Pacific Standard Time (PST) Why do you want to play a Ghoul: I've gotten board with my current rp style as it feels quite limited. I think the idea of Ghouls is quite well thought out and it sounds like it fits into the general theme of LOTC. I find general bandit rp to become somewhat repetitive, but a hoard of Ghouls is... Something special. I also think it just sounds like fun, or I wouldn't be applying for it. Do you understand & agree to hold the bounds: Yes, I understand and agree to all red lines, and rules for how a Ghoul is to act. Description: Madpen When Lenfarthing fell many of the dead were left to rot, there was no space aboard the Prancing Petyr for corpses or sentiment. This particular Halfling's body was cast into the river running through the Witch Woods. For years the body sat there, tangled amongst the kelp forests till something awoke inside it. Next to nothing remained of the happy farmer that once lived within, now it was an emotion, an urge that used the body. The urge to feed. The only things Madpen (Or Maddy) would remember would be a few faces of his old friends, and the significance of his old home. He would also have a strong attachment to the shovel that he died with. He always wears a tattered and mouldy overcoat and some torn shorts. His skin and body are not unlike Smeagol's from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

/\ Not always, sometimes Hobbit holes are dug into the hill. I find ones that are made into the hill have a much more modular layout, where as when they are houses covered in dirt it's much more open floorplan. (These are of course not absolutes, just what I have found while builsing and observing.) Also for some great leaf-architecture go take a look at some oarts of Leanniel. The example that you gave is a good example of what not to do with leaves I agree. Finnaly, dirt can be a good texture. I can't get the link but search for Bdoubleo100 dirt house. Interesting tutorial and the product is actualy okay...
