Hey, don't be discouraged! Unless I'm mistaken, I'm fairly sure Necromancy is very very hard to self teach. But that doesn't mean you can't Be taught the magic! Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe that necromancy, much like cleric magic, is very order and guild based. Play it right through rp, and you could find yourself in a super secret cult learning necromancy. Good luck

I think what he means is if its in your backstory, its knowledge that you gain from the forums and then attempt to justify by saying its part of your backstory. The best bet is gaining IC knowledge. This doesn't have to be asking a Mage a bunch of questions ( although that's probably the most straightforward method), there are plenty of books on magic as well.

*Jonathan shakes his head "Oh no no no, you misunderstand. I wasn't complaining. I was talking about an opportunity. I understand that you are new to office, and what not. I also noticed that you scrapped the enforcers for an Orenian Guard force. But point stands. Think of a guards position within the law at the moment. They see some one breaking the law, they step in. As simple as that really. But what i'm talking about is actually investigating. When a guard isn't there to stop the murder and instead stumbles on the body, its more or less (at least to my understanding) forgotten and treated as bad luck,and the murderer gets away. What i'm suggesting is a branch of the law tasked with investigating the crimes that slip through the guards nets." ((Basically, detectives! I think this could open up a whole new branch of rp. Obviously this will need to rely heavily on the villains to leave signs depicting the crime scene and what not, but other than that I think this could be cool))

Who is it that actually investigates the breaking of crimes, such as murders. Aye, I know theres the Sherrifs and the enforcers. But from what i've seen, they don't actually investigate crimes, just try and stop them and or punish the guilty person as the crime happens. If I'm missing something, I do apologise for wasting your time." with that, Jonathan pauses, waiting to hear what the High Sherrif has to say
