Not everything can be represented. That's just the way it is. Think of illusion, that's like impossible to represent with a plugin XD. That said, as an aeromancer, I absolutely love what you've done Telanir.mair magic looks absolutely superb. The other magics look ok too..:P now then, as has been mentioned earlier, balancing might be somewhat an issue. Having played on a pvp server with heroes, with balancing going on all the time, here is my advice - Firstly, mages shouldn't be able to wear armour. At all. Period. Their spells can be quite powerful as you've shown so they should be squishies or 'glass cannons'. The moment someone gets I close they should be all but done for.
Second, I think you need to lower the mana regents speed. I understand that your showcase was from the perspective of a master Mage, however that cool down is still pretty insane. My character is somewhat of a master aeromancer (tier 4 old system) and with this plugin, I could safely stand back and keep knocking them away without much risk of them getting in. Using mana wisely and carefully should be the defining factor between a good Mage and a dead Mage. In its current state, it looks like a Mage could get away with just spamming their arsenal, as apposed to having to carefully pick and choose their spells. Now this next comment might not make me the most popular person, but I feel it needs to be said. Put off releasing the magic plugin until there is a PROPER combat plugin *cowers as is bombarded by hate*.
Hear me out for a moment here. In an rpg (and lotc is rp rpg now remember) there is a basic sort of triangle. Mage beats warrior, warrior beats rogue, rogue beats Mage. Of course that isn't set in stone but that's the basic gist of it. For the moment lets just focus on the whole rogue beats Mage section. How does this happen? Why does this happen? Well you see, a rogue in an rpg is supposed to have speed. Agility. Stealth. Burst damage (or non burst, depends on the rogue variant). These attributes allow the rogue to get in close and quickly take out our Mage, who is a distance damage dealer (which allows it to take out warriors). Now, the problem is you see, all we really have in terms of combat at the moment is a bland old warrior. I believe that nexus magic would need to be released with some form of shiny combat plugin. A because it is pretty much necessary in. Order for combat to be balance. And B because it's not really fair for mages to have a shiny, beautiful plugin while warriors (the people who generally pvp more) are left with boring old vanilla mc pvp. I don't see that as entirely fair nor balanced, and I'm a Mage xD.
But, I'm getting off point here. I love this, I honestly, truly do. It's a work of art. But I think it will need a lot of balancing and monitoring to ensure it makes for an exciting pvp experience. On that note, I'll go head over to the beta tester thread so I can (hopefully :P) provide some input and help towards this masterpiece
