I'm talking moreso how the Lannisters are apparently a step ahead of everything Daenerys does except for when she just suddenly decides to do something herself. It's acting like there's a spy giving the lannisters information, but the only person who would do this would be Varys, and they had a moment at the very beginning explicitly shutting this down. Also the scenes with jon and daenerys in the caves and jon and knight guy talking to foreigner lady were poorly done in general. Even the acting seemed to suffer in those two scenes.

So, how does non-magical mana exertion work? A mage that ran a marathon can't cast like a mage of equal power that just had a great night's sleep and a healthy meal, but they still have roughly the same amount of mana.

A one month ban seems fine for that, and you would be harming people. At the end of the day X-raying is lumped into a group of similar bad behavior such as duping, spawning in items, exploiting, and minor hacking. People aren't being directly harmed by this, like a pugsy; however, they are being harmed in that these other players do things legitimately. Why should someone hacking be allowed to have such an advantage with a minor punishment? This is what we call justice, penalizing someone for breaking the system that everyone normally follows. If you try and bring up new players, then you should know that new players generally get reduced punishments and bans. What you're talking about are players that know they're cheating and doing something wrong, and if there isn't a hefty punishment for those types then they will undoubtedly do it again once they are unbanned, just more carefully.
As for poor villainy, while I was a GM someone had to regularly be doing poor villainy to get an actual ban.
