  1. let my fairy tree ride a broomstick made with soupmancy or i riot
  2. alc was the first feat my character ever got and after a year and a half of playing them i've used it maybe 4 times. it's not that useful at its base.
  3. I recently made my first human character and was really worried about the "time limit" set in place by the lifespan. To be honest, if you're playing from childhood and don't get anything done/find a CA to circumvent age within the 90-100 weeks after that, I feel like it's sort of on you. Pleasantly surprised that it sort of just makes me more motivated to play on the slot, and at the same time somehow free me from feeling like everything she does is permanent. I remember the 2-week standard and it was impossibly slow for everyone. Admittedly though, idgaf about what the math works out to be. We already have a lorepiece that excuses time slippage, good enough.
  4. Somewhere far from the reach of Bolomormaa and the blight she left behind, a Tree amongst many shivered. A few of its leaves fell to the mulch below and deep within its trunk, Harvest began again.
  5. anyone else gotten a moment of hyperlucidity recently where you just realize how meaningless all this is?

I've spent more time "on hiatus" than I have active on LotC bc I have a hard rule that if I'm not having fun, I don't play

I get passionate abt LotC in the same way I'm passionate abt most things I love that I think could be better. But at the end of the day, it will always just be a game

  6. nah and who tf would pay for a subscription to ts. my point is that nobody is owed anything by anyone. try to get them to do it but it's not like you can't walk away, there's no investment. another twitter reply from borin what a surprise
  7. fr if you want consumer rights you'd have to be paying for a service, and ur literally not. it goes off of donations. stop giving them money if you don't like it enough. also, as others have said. not that hard to not get banned. i've been here for 13 years and caught a 2 week ban for metarallying in 2017. the only people in my circles who got banned deserved it.
  8. It's a free to play minecraft server. You don't 'deserve' anything lmfao.

      so if i've got this:

      Aos contains:

Aegis, Athera, Vailor, Axios, Atlas, and Arcas

      Eos contains:

Asulon, Anthos, Almaris, Aevos, Azuras, and Aeldin

" Aos's side, is the one where the descendants are originated from. The land where the realms of Aegis, Athera and Vailor are, as well as the minor realm of Thales. On Eos's side there are the realms of Asulon and Anthos, with the minor realms being far more, The Verge, Elysium, Kalos, and The Fringe. Much of the world is still unexplored or unknown. Islamadon

You've two entry points for Oyashi RP.

      1) Start off in an existing clan.

      2) Be Kaitakusha (Pioneer) refugee from the Eight Isles.

This mega-thread has all of the Islands listed and their background. For intents and purposes, each island has their own archetype that you can take inspiration from (real history + shōnen)

Yamatai - Ultra Hive City with Neon Color Hair
Oskunoshima - Industrial Island attacked by Kaiju (Gundam)
Ihon - Endless Yokai Attacks (Bleach + Demonslayer)
Fukukaze - Ninja Alternate History (Naruto)
Dodaitose - Druid Animal Tamers (Pokemon)
Gushiken - Ultra Fascist Academy (Kill la Kill)
      Bachi Shoto - Christian-Shinto Conflicts
      Hoke-Ida - Elf Astrology Land
Kusari Isles - Gunpowder Producing Okinawa

@Islamadonholy heck I didn't know the Oyashi culture had pick-an-anime-origin-story, that's actually so cool

  16. Beautiful work. The previous Tree Lord write feels incredibly underwhelming when you actually start to play it. In all honesty, I've felt that it's presented far, far more difficulties for characters than any sort of tangible benefit. This feels much more developed and well-themed. I'll admit to being worried that this rewrite would nudge the CA in a certain moral direction, but I'm glad to see that both 'sides' stand to benefit. +1

  18. Blessed Be, Brother GPT. [Please drop all students I've found my Neiman]
  19. You would think so, but it's a pretty tough decision between letting the community self-regulate and staff getting to decide who lives and dies in a much more direct way. Edit : I won't clutter up the thread with more replies, but I didn't mean to say that the Aspects would otherwise be present narratively. When I asked my teacher (EVONPIRE) this question, he gave me the "gas station dad" bit, which I've used with my students too. But when I asked what would be the consequence of the Aspects being able to Unattune, the answer was 'more staff control'. This was poorly worded on my end and I was a bit braindead at this point.
  20. Mapl, can you stop being the reason people see the Mother Circle as toxic please? This is needlessly aggressive and you're not even involved or directly affected by this roleplay. Take a breather.
  21. Look man, I'm bummed that we lost the characters that we did, and the players that are refusing to play again as a result of this. But I told you this in DM's - this is on whoever thought it was a good idea to shove saplings into a box underground, and then never touch them. I understand the argument of, "I don't want to do gardening rp" or "how often am i expected to self-rp". Yeah, it is kinda boring to have to go give the sapling a kiss on the cheek and tuck it in from time to time - but my friend - it's right there. It doesn't really matter if we think it's fun or not, when we sign the CA we're saying we agree to the terms & conditions. No, it doesn't say, "This plant needs 5 emotes of Druidic Energy per 1 OOC week". Yes, that's bad lore. But we still signed up for it. Squak gave you guys 30+ OOC days of a timeframe to interact with the saplings in any capacity, and none of you did. I want to be angry with you, but I can really only find myself at the conclusion that some of the seniormost members of the Druid community didn't read their lore, or ask for clarification when they were "confused". It's really not that hard. A plant needs water. Magic plant needs magic "water".
  22. hey, honestly same for anyone looking. i can't use up my VIP tokens fast enough, happy to help out.
