from what I found, it isn't locked. But Nug, I know how you feel. I get ok'd by the head shaman and the other shamans for me to rp shamanism, then i say the wrong things to the wrong people and I magically get booted from shamanism for reasoning that was gone over in full detail.

A teacher is required for beardmancy. Tresure taught Josh and I, along with a few others, and I'm not sure where it's gone from that. Either way, teaching is required, and so is the RP for the tiers - and only a very vetrened beardmancer could do such a thing, and I know buff wasn't one of the original ones taught. That's my two cents.

I'd also like to note, that magic can not break down gates. Axes can not break down gates. RP can't get you anywhere that you can't get MCly.
