HEREAS the realms of Man have been afflicted so pervasively by divisions of Princes, scattered by the vanity of their own counsels and sins of pride. It is in blindness that Man will stumble, their hearts stricken by evils otherwise banished beneath the mandate of the Lord; yet, as well, in blindness when those most worthy ascend beyond the veils of darkness, His light borne upon their brow and returning unto the realms of Man a divine path. For it is in the unity of man that they may congregate upon this divine path; that they may find amongst their Earthly Kingdoms one who rises as shepherd amongst his flock. Yet, in as much as the one is their shepherd, so too do they come as its wolves – burdened by the sword to banish the detestable evils which threaten the sons of man. Amongst those innumerable houses of Humanity, only one has obtained so successfully and pervasively the legitimacy to rise amongst the princes of Canondom, ordained in a multitude of successions beneath the Church of the Canon. The present-age has seen them ascend unto the titles of Kings and Queens through the Apostolic Kingdom of Aaun, though further adversity then relegated them back unto the ranks of Princes in the Dukedom of Alba. HELANE | The House of Helane, derived from the Empress Helane Horen, wife of Augustus I Horen, for her contribution unto the architectural marvels of the empire's past. The name was a short-lived glory, and its descendents found themselves in matrimony with the Sarkozic name upon the creation of a new imperial line: Novellen. TIBER | The House of Tiber stems from the blood of Titus Tiber, who was the son of Vitus Horen, an Imperial Prince of Renatus. Though marvelled with no titles of honorifics, the House of Tiber remained a true and virtuous cadet-house of Horen, and thus legitimised its branch as Horen’s tribe. Nevertheless, the house fell into obscurity upon the execution of Titus Tiber, then-patriarch of the house, at the hands of the Novellen’s due to pertaining links to the Pertinaxi after the conclusion of the War of the Two Emperors. VILAC | The House of Vilac descends from Martius "The Corsair Prince" Horen, the second-born son of Antonius Horen and twin brother of Emperor Augustus Horen. A house rooted in mystery and having been separated from the descendants for a hundred years while they ruled parts of Aeldin, they would resurface during the Adrian Rebellion, after which they were a part of the creation of Veletz, serving as princes within the court. They can be found in the present day within the courts of Burgundy and Alba; their patriarchs, the twins Charles of Verbant and Lawrence of Verbant take residence in castle Vardem, not far from the city of Elizabeth in Alba. Wherefore should the name of Horen now be invoked; their legacy revisited, and their purpose envisioned?
