  2. Pierce I would weep by his bedside, remembering many family meals and better times.
  3. Pierce would recall when the Dwarves disrespected and outright declined diplomacy when an envoy was sent some time ago, followed by pissing on one of his vassals walls.

  5. Pierce I of House Devereux signs with an ornate signature.
  6. Pierce I of House Devereux signs the letter in a rather flamboyant fashion.
  7. Pierce would smile fondly, watching young Ester scamper about the palace in excitement. “A truly monumental occasion for both Oren and Curon. I look forward to this immensely.”
  8. Pierce I Devereux would pen his signature at the bottom of the document.
  9. Pierce read the invitation swiftly, narrowing his eyes at the text of the missive. “Yet another ball, yet another song and dance.” He’d think to himself, carefully folding the letter. “I’m sure this will be quite fun.” He’d say brandishing a dismissive hand after moments of hesitation, quickly penning a response to let the Duchess know of his expected arrival.
  10. Pierce reclines back in his seat, excited for the fights to come.
  11. His Majesty, King Pierce I of House Devereux signs the document, brandishing a large and fanciful signature. The seal of Curonia being placed squarely underneath.
  12. Pierce taps his head from a distance away, as this guy gets it.
  13. The First Summit of Avalain Issued and Confirmed on 8th of the First Seed, 1722 During the parliamentary years of peace during the seventh Empire, discourse and cooperation between the constituents of mankind stood at an all time high. As a species, we recognized the value of our unity. In the years following the coalition war, the Lords, Royals, and elected officials of the Empire gathered at the first Summit of Cyrilsburg in Curon, to discuss and prepare for the peace to come. Since those golden years, much has changed. The War of Two Emperors has splintered the Renatian Empire. Humanity has fallen victim to old feuds and forgotten that when unified, working for common goals, against common enemies, we thrive. Thus, King of Curonia, longing for the days when his royal peers spoke before they fought, does summon and invite his sovereign peers to attend the First Summit of Avalain. At the summit, they shall discuss the future of Mankind, determining strategies that might lead us to work together as a united species once more. They shall discuss the peace they have achieved, only through war, and the Union of Man, the Pax Orenia, that shall follow, in order to preserve the peace and supremacy of man. The following sovereigns are invited to speak at the summit, or to send a single representative in their stead, to speak for them. His Imperial Majesty, Godfrey II Cascadia of the Holy Orenian Empire His Serene Highness, Ider I Haraccus of the Principality of Ves His Royal Majesty, Pierce I Devereux of the Kingdom of Curonia Additionally, the citizens and leaders of the following nations are invited to bear witness to the summit. The citizens and peers of the Holy Orenian Empire The citizens and peers of the Principality of Ves The citizens and peers of the Kingdom of Curonia The citizens and peers of the Archduchy of Suffonia The citizens and peers of the Duchy of Cresonia The citizens and peers of Rosenyr The summit shall commence with an open discussion between the three representatives, during which they shall discuss the Pax Orenia. It shall conclude with a town hall style forum, during which the observers of the summit may pose their questions to the representatives. Any individual, citizen, peer, or speaking representative, who brings violence or threats into the summit shall be immediately removed. The summit is one of peace and Union, its ultimate goal being to sign an alliance of peace, union, and mutual sovereignty, between the Royal Constituents of Mankind. The summit shall occur in two saint’s days time in the Royal Palace of Avalain, Curonia ((Saturday, 6/29, 3PM EST)). Signed by, His Royal Majesty, Pierce I of House Devereux the King of Curonia, Duke of Curon & Umbra, Count of Cyrilsburg & Avalain, Baron of Arisan, Blackreach, Rivia, & Vasile, and Lord of Bear Mountain & Blackden
  14. ”She’s so nice...” Pierce thinks to himself, planning on attending.
  15. Pierce receives his letter quickly, smiling as he carefully opens it. Upon reading the contents, he’d carefully place it within a drawer, moving to sharpen up a pair of fresh dancing shoes. “Still have a promise to keep.” He’d remark to himself with a smile.
  16. Pierce prepares his Curonians to take it once more.
  17. Pierce’s steps to the Lord Draskovits would be slow as he knocks on his door, delivering a heartfelt condolences himself to the weeping vassal.
  18. Pierce would frown upon the news of the departure. Though his interactions were somewhat sparse with the Dragon Knight, he held nothing but the highest amount of respect for him. Memories of drinks in the Gentleman’s Lounge with talk of war, honor, battle, and glory would come flooding to him. “The best of luck, Ser Rodrik. Though you will never need it, let GOD’s hand guide you forward.”
  19. “Well, would you look at that...” Pierce would muse to himself, upon pouring yet another glass of whiskey.

  23. A Call Home Issued and Confirmed by His Majesty Pierce I Devereux The Devereux family had seen one of its darkest hours. With the war separating kin in both allegiance and in spirit, our family has faced a fractured time in its history. With the coming of a new reign of King in Curon, I see it fit to mend the wounds that plague our family. Only under a united Devereux does the Bear fully stand tall, and it is time to wake the sleeping Bear. To this end, I, Pierce I Devereux, Patriarch of the Devereux family, do see it fit to lift the disownment on our separated kin, Anabel Devereux, enacted by the previous Patriarch and King, Alfred II Edgar Devereux. The time which has been lost away from home surely cannot be gained, but I pray to GOD that we may once again be full. Signed, His Royal Majesty, Pierce I of House Devereux the King of Curonia, Duke of Curon & Umbra, Count of Cyrilsburg & Avalain, Baron of Arisan, Blackreach, Rivia, & Vasile, and Lord of Bear Mountain & Blackden
