INTRODUCTION It has been sixty-seven years since the conclusion of the 356 Haeseni Snailula One Championship, the inaugural, and to date only, Haeseni Snailula One Championship. While the sport has been in development and informal races have still been held, no official Championship has been held. It is with great pride, however, that the HFSR are to announce that this shall no longer be the case, and do announce that a new Haeseni Snailula One Championship shall begin in the year 425 E.S., and hope that many competitors, teams, and snails shall join us, as we embark on a new journey for Snailula One. RULES AND REGULATIONS The 425 Snailula One Haeseni Championship shall happen in accordance with the 419 HFSR Snailula One Rules and Regulations. RACE CALENDAR The following shall be the determined Race Calendar for the 425 Snailula One Haeseni Championship, which shall be regularly updated before and during the commencement of the season to ensure that the race calendar remains accurate. Square of Crows Grand Prix The Square of Crows Grand Prix (previously the Karosgrad Square Grand Prix) returns from the 356 Snailula One Haeseni Championship. This classic Snailula One has seen upgrades and changes throughout the years, and a promising race is in store for the circuit that started it all. Lily Gardens Grand Prix The Lily Gardens Grand Prix (previously the Royal Gardens Grand Prix) also makes a return to the championship, having served as the final race of the 356 Championship. An instant classic from its first iteration, the previous longest track on the calendar has only become longer since then, ensuring a race of high quality and endurance. St. Karl’s Barracks Grand Prix The St. Karl’s Barracks Grand Prix, added to the calendar in commemoration of Sir Buck Dirtgrub, remembered by many as the inventor of Snail Racing, who served prudently as a soldier of the HRA and even now for the BSK, is the first new addition to the calendar. A simple oval track in our barracks that is sure to provide fast paced racing. Trelka Grand Prix The Trelka Grand Prix, another new addition to this year's calendar, is to be held within the Trelka Hippodrome, and shall be the longest track on the calendar, taking in account the spacious area in which it occurs. It also features the longest straight upon the calendar, making for ample overtaking opportunity. Valwyck Grand Prix The Valwyck Grand Prix, the second coastal Grand Prix to take place in the history of Snailula One, de facto replacing the old Lorena’s Wharf Grand Prix from the first championship. Join us as Snailula One for the first time ever leaves the gates of Karosgrad and ventures into the lands of vassals, featuring a track with few corners and close racing. Vidaus Grand Prix The Vidaus Grand Prix, taking place in the famed Vidaus’ jousting grounds, which have seen prudent use under Duke Rhys Ruthern. Instead of unhorsing your opponent, however, you’re going to aim to outspeed them as you make your way down the long Maric’s Meats Straight and into the Alric’s Arrow Corner. Reinmar Grand Prix The Reinmar Grand Prix, also known as the Grand Prix of Roses for the very reason that it takes place in the vast rose field that surrounds Reinmar. Don’t let the beautiful sight be a thorn in your side, though, as you make your way down the long and twisted circuit with many corners. TEAMS, RACERS, AND SNAILS Sign-ups for the season shall remain open throughout the entire Championship, though it is advised to sign up before the beginning of the season if one has intentions of challenging for either of the Racers’ Championship or the Teams’ Championship. The wind whistled overhead, and the flapping of a bird’s wings woke him. Groggily, he opened his eyes, and the bright, harsh sunlight blinded him nearly immediately. He could barely make out the silhouette of the crow that flew by, to him, it looked golden. He reached his hand up hopelessly, trying to catch that bird within his grasp, but to no avail. He only now noticed the smell of salt and grass that surrounded him, gently blades of the grass ocean that he were wrapped in did too weave back and forth with every gust of wind. Where… Am I? He raised his head only briefly from the grass, barely able to make out the silhouettes of distant trees around him, and the ocean that laid down at the bottom of the hill. Apart from that, there was nothing, not a single city, castle, or building within sight. What day was it? He wondered, he could scarcely tell anymore. He rose from the grass, barely able to push himself to stand properly. He had lost his strength recently, it was as if it had gone with her, and he barely staggered down to the beach, the sand crumbled around his feet, capturing it. He knelt down by the log that rested on the beach, just outside of the range of the waves, which would otherwise have washed it away. Nine days, he noted, being able to tell by every notch he had made on it. There were eight, but he assumed he had slept through yet another night. They were much more peaceful in these plains. It was his way of repressing it, total dissociation. He would not have to remember, he would not have to mourn, if the world were not there to remind him of it. In these plains, there was nothing, there was only him. Him, the grass, the sea, the wind… That crow. He frowned deeply at the thought of the crow, it reminded him much too much of his dreams and nightmares. It reminded him too much of her, the crow that had always been there to save him at his lowest. You ought to honour her better than this, Eirik. His mind prodded, and the vivid images of what occurred nine days ago passed through his mind. The cake which he refused to eat, the life draining from Ana's face, the her cup shattering against the floor, the ensuing panic. The images were too much, and he collapsed into the sand, unable to stop himself from emptying his tears. He were lucky today that no tide came to swallow him into the ocean. Instead, it were a traveller that discovered the Duke on the beach. With a kind smile, he offered him some bread and helped him to stand. It was night-time now, and how the traveller had discovered him was beyond him, but he nevertheless extended his thanks to him. Before the traveller took his leave, he offered a mere inquiry to him: “Aren’t you supposed to be heading somewhere?” To the traveller, perhaps, that was a meaningless remark. A mere friendly gesture to make before one’s departure. For Eirik, however, that question was everything. He hadn’t just abandoned Valwyck without a goal in mind, he and Anastasya had made a promise to one another, they would retire to Nevaehlen and spend the rest of their days there. Even without her, this was a promise he had sought to honour. Somewhere along the way, he had lost himself on the way to Nevaehlen, and drowned himself in only wallowing and sorrow. He had spent nine days and nine nights in these plains, in a location he could not even name, and for what? Was it some desperate plea to allow himself to starve to death or be washed away by the waves, just so he could be with his Ana once again? Alas, while the only thing he desired was to be with her again, he knew that the world had taken them separately without purpose, the world was not so cruel as to split them apart for no reason. It had not been so cruel as to take Alexander from them without purpose. It had not been so cruel as to have them only bear daughters without purpose. Everything, he concluded, had a purpose, even his despair. With that in mind, he began trodding down the path to Nevaehlen.

Picture this: It's a sunny April day outside, the sun is beaming down on your character as they walk down the streets, making their way to the local park. As they exit their apartment, they take their Airpods out and plug them in their ears. What are they listening to? If you want to elaborate further on the musical taste of your character, which can be quite telling about what kind of person they are, feel free to say more about what they're listening to. I would imagine that Eirik Baruch is currently listening to some Bon Jovi or U2 (He is in his fourties).

The room were unfilled with unfilled potential, plentiful of books which he had attempted to write in these last few days. There were words in them, every now and again, but none of those words captured what they were supposed to. He had always had an aptitude for reading other people’s emotions, capturing them and writing them into stories. And now, here he was, simply trying to describe the way that he himself felt, and being unable to describe it with any sort of words at all. The nights were getting longer and colder. It was a hollow feeling of revenge that ate away at his soul, and he feared that there would one day be nothing left of it. It gnawed away, bit after bit after bit. He feared that at any moment now, he may just shrivel up and die on the spot, left as a rotten discarded corpse in the grave which he had dug himself. It were the conversation in the Basilica that saved him. His own hopes and dreams were yet extinguished, they had died with him. Yet there were always something so inspiring about Adele, the flame inside her always burned so brightly. He admired it, frankly. Even now, that flame had not yet dwelled. But to stand in her presence, to have her wipe tears off his face, he knew exactly what this were; something that he did not deserve. But, to him, with her, there was something much greater at stake than merely what he thought he deserved or didn’t deserve. It were no longer his hope or dream to marry Adele, that was something he had given up on, something which he had ruined for himself, he would never again dare to have hope or dreams. But Adele still had hers, and that day he made a solemn promise to fulfil those. In many ways, he considered himself to be dead by now, if anything, he would have to be reborn only with a single goal in mind, to be Adele’s. He were nothing else. It was her or nothing.
