MCname: SomberSalad Character name: Zaynhila Base Fur colour: Grey, like the skin for her. Eye Colour: Amber. Any fur patterns, markings, scars? Specify if yes: A small cut at her right side, half-way down her body. Want any Text in your artwork? Specify if yes: Nope, unless you want to add anything. Want any additonal props/objects in your artwork? Specify if yes: Her right paw clutching a kukri. Armor or clothing?: Her right arm has a large leather arm-guard that stretches from her shoulder, down to her forearm. I'll give you the skin so you can get what I'm talking about. -
Zaynhila cries as she is not given consideration for being a magical Shaman.
-
Zaynhila pays her respects to a honorable honorary orc.

To be honest, with a name like that, people are just going to say 'Oren Capital'. It won't really matter.
-
Sorry if someone has already asked this, but can anyone give the rough size of the map?

[5/26] Scheduled Maintenance 4PM EDT
SomberSalad replied to 501warhead's topic in Vailor OOC Archive
Come on guys, it can't be too bad. It might kill PVP, ruin some group roleplay, and overall be pretty bad for a while- but hey, we get shields with cool colors. It's not all doom-and-gloom! -
You'll do great! :D

If you ask reaaaally nicely, maybe

I am not actually a salad. Just be yourself, that's all you can really ask for.

Server Battle Royale [Stability Testing]
SomberSalad replied to Pandan's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Sorry, is this event happening on the main server or the beta 1.9 server? -
I'm not sure if this should be added- but perhaps communicate some sort of 'ban' on using spectre/construct/ghoul personas inside the zone? Just the standard four races and Kharajyr, to keep everything atleast somewhat 'fair'.

If the first few lines of this paragraph are true, then you need to speak to an admin (presumably Tythus) about it- with proof, of course. Paedophiles should, most assuredly, be banned from the server for much longer then somewho that metagames. While metagaming does tend to kill the flow of roleplay, if we look into previous examples of banning and blacklisting for the duration of the bans and the situations, then it could be assumed that we might find some differences or similarities with the ban duration. Ban Duration : Two Weeks Situation : Needed a guard to get online to fight a creature. Used in-game messaging system to do so. Appeal Completed and Accepted. Ban Duration : Three Months, Six Month Blacklist After Situation : A force of four people were raiding a human settlement. Used in-game messaging system to do so- along with Teamspeak. Appeal Completed and Accepted. To add onto this case, the others included only got six week bans and three month blacklists. Not permanant, nothing over four months long. Ban Duration : Two Weeks, as seen in the title Situation : People were being raided or were raiding. Used ingame messaging to do so. Appeal Completed and Accepted. If we truly want to be fair to a player who has broken a rule, then we need to learn to forgive what they've done. Pito444, as far as I've been told, didn't pugsy, hack, break any erotic rules relating to the server ect. But, he is banned permanantly. Why is this? I am generally curious to find out why such an incredible time period has been enforced on someone for breaking a rule like metagaming. The average ban length appears to be two weeks, from the three given examples. If it's to set a message because you feel as if he's a 'bad player'- it's a horrible way to go about it. The administation and moderation team need to understand that prolific players, who lead large organizations on the server, add to the activity on said server. If you're banning players who are promoting activity, it's wrong decision. I could understand if you give him a three month ban 'to set an example' (which even then is rather silly), but permanant seems a little... extreme. Just a concerned player giving their two cents, given the recent blacklisting event that needs to be re-evalutated aswell- a group decision doesn't always mean that all views and opinions are looked into.

Oh gosh that's the potion I gave you, isn't it. >.<

First International Shogging Tournament!
SomberSalad replied to Moochael's topic in Vailor Roleplay Archive
"What is shogging?" Vhesraya would ask. -
Just a suggestion for a newbie here- why not give the players who use the 'Harbinger' race the same rule as normal Ghosts- they can't PVP at all. Maybe change this so they have to be given permission to PVP in certain events or fights. From looking into the lore, they seem like they shouldn't be fighting 'with' mortals anyway. Just my two cents. >.<

Is it bad that I don't really understand? I feel like I should be laughing- but I'm not. I did giggle at the cat spirit thing though. :D

Out-Of-Character Information Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft account name?: SomberSalad How old are you?: 17 Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes What’s the rule you agree with the most?: If you die in roleplay, your character will not remember the events leading up to the death. Waking up knowing who killed you is metagaming. You also may not return to the site of your death for thirty minutes (Unless it was your character's home). Losing memory just makes sense when you die. It means less clunky roleplay and makes for more interesting villainy. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): I didn't really understand the rule which said your characters couldn't interact. Does that mean if I create two characters, they can't live in the same home? Just want someone to clear that up for me. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I was looking through possible RP servers, when I found this one and Aethier. Since I've been playing on Habbo and WoW for my fix of RP, I wasn't sure which to apply for first- then I found this one had larger numbers. So... I'm applying here first! Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): None. Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! Plagiarizing will result in the automatic denial of your application! What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is assuming the role of a character and then acting out how they pressuably would. An example of this would be playing with their 'traits'- say if they were naturally angry and greedy, you'd try and strike out at people for wealth. What is metagaming?: It's when you meet a gamer- obviously. Just kidding! It's when you apply knowledge that your character wouldn't have into a roleplay situation. For example- if I was told over messages that someone had murdered someone in some town, running over there to catch the murderer would be metagaming. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is having ungodly amounts of power added to your character which don't make any sense- or doing stupidly goofy acts that destroy another character/player without giving them a chance to respond. So- my character calling down a meteorite onto another character without having the power to. Pretty sure you can't do that anyway, if I've read the magic lore right. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) Alex Roebac Character’s sex: (male or female?) Male Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) Heartlander Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 26 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Alex Roebac was born in 1527, in the earlier hours prior to the coming of Snow's Maiden. Born to parents that never expected or wanted such a child, they threw him out onto the cold streets near Krinfrid- where he was taken in by a lonely, old and feeble hermit into the mountainside. There was something 'off' about Alex from an earlier age- he was weak and sickly from the day he was born- perhaps being tossed from his natural home had ruined the small child's mind. But, as he grew, it became more noticeable that he had a lacking for learning- a terrible student through and through. And although the nameless hermit had tried to teach him mathematics and basic literature, it simply didn't sink it- Alex was foolish and desired to ignore the teachings given to him. Ten years after his birth, in 1537 during the middle of Sun's Smile, news came to the young lad that Rhewengrad had fallen to the Orenian Empire- Alex was thrilled. Being raised in such a small center of the world had presented the lad with few opportunities to see other cultures- as far as he was concerned, it was Oren or it was worthless. The small men of the mountains, known as 'Dwarves', meant little to anyone in Krinfrid at the time, so they meant little to Alex aswell. He had hoped that the bastard midgets got what they deserved in time. After hearing news of the splintering of Vanderguan, and the calming of the war, Alex decided now would be the time to make his mark on the world. He had been raised with a closed mind and a closed heart- the hermit had died on his nineteenth birthday, but it didn't phase him. He had learned how to cut a tree, how to work knots and bows- he had learned that steel maces crushed iron plate like cod battered in breadcrumbs. What else was there to learn? And thus, Alex began the long walk to Felsen. Alone, with his woodmans axe and a satchel filled with hickory nuts, blackberries and filleted cod roe- and dreams of fighting for the true nation of 'warriors'. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Alex has grown up to adore the company of those like himself. Those of human birth would be considered 'friendly' to him- but those of foreign birth would be treated with cynical suspicions and doubts. He has also grown fond of working alone- growing food and cutting trees alone has led Alex to becoming less then gregarious around other people. He's a man of few words- he's also a man of few thoughts. When it comes to making a decision, he's more prone to acting rashly and wrothfully. Taking time to make decisions just meant less time delivering actions. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Alex aspires to become a fellow soldiers amongst the Orenian military. Even when not in active duty, he'd be proud to be able to defend the homeland at a moment's notice. Fighting back those who are a threat to humanity could also be considered an ambition. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Alex is fairly good with fine-motor skills, given his upbringing. Tying knots and making wooden crafts were easy to him- swinging axes and maces were also easy to him. Defending himself and the hermit that brought him up was fairly important, so he trained himself in the ways of 'blunt punishment'. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Alex, if you couldn't tell from the biography, suffers from a few mental issues. For one, he's generally pretty foolish and head-strong, using his body instead of his mind. For two, he's mathematically dyslexic. Counting isn't too difficult for him, but complicated (or even simply) addition and subtraction is out of the question. Finally, he's fairly reckless, and can end up harming himself and those around him if he's not too careful. Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) (I've always been pretty terrible at describing my characters- just something that has never really 'caught on' with me. I'll try though.) Alex is around 6'0 tall, with broad shoulders which stick out thanks to the odd positioning of his collarbone. His arms are well defined and toned, and his knuckles and fingers are calloused from an overabundance of work- his chest looks and feels pretty strained, the skin and muscle red and irritated most of the time due to how much he works. His legs are firm and 'rooted' onto the ground below him- an unmovable object to some weaker people. He normally wears a plain green work-shirt, covered in dried mud and grime. His hip-pack contains various objects, and bounces against his waist as he strides. Normally wearing thick boots covered in thicker mud and dirt. His hair is neatly kept but still messy due to the fact that... well, he's not really a barber! To add to that fact, his beard is faintly neat but mostly messy and scratchy. Skin: (please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin; if you need help, see our screenshot guide here.) https://gyazo.com/60cd405896b44e1ba35107bd90d70208
