why was this necessary what are you going on about some dumb grudge i no longer actually hold. the way their staff functions is just not pretty, i've got nothing against the playerbase.

aethier is a bad bad land never go it is infuriating when applying the ******* application moderator got an important chunk of her lore wrong and denied me. i had to 'politely' inform her that it was a pretty important piece of information i should slso add this was a few months ago and that i am no longer genuinely salty over this

Your Actual Aethier Application Using our flawless lore system please write a highly detailed 300 word background story for your character(Must follow lore word by word): Please answer these questions in character: Darkness surrounds you in every direction. You wake up to find you’re lying on a tile floor. The pungent smell of greasy teenagers fills your nose. You look around to see you’re actually standing in line at Mcdonalds. The impatient cashier repeats themself, “Hello, I’ll be taking your order today what will you be having?” The words from their mouth sound rushed and unhappy as if the question were easy to answer. “Alright,” under their breath they say ‘fatass’ before continuing, “And will you be having a large drink with that? It comes two dollars off.” Their eyes dance around to the other waiting customers in line. They seem to be shifting back and forth constantly to not drown in forehead grease. The grease begins to become a problem. “Is this for here or to go?” They lean forward slightly, the shining of their forehead and face now very prominent in the change of light. “Alright. Your order will be ready over here.” A lazy hand gesture points you to the edge of the counter which is now surrounded by preteen fuckboys. Confusion fills the air around you. “Here’s your order.”, a different yet completely the same greasy teen hands you a wet bag full of whatever you order. You notice how there’s only one ketchup packet and ask for another. “Do I look like a ketchup dispenser to you?” they reply. As they walk back to the fryer you stare at their back in wonder.

I'll speak from an FM perspective on this. This is complicated, and I will say that I believe that staff let's say the FM team in particular don't need to be transparent because that's the wrong word. With actions such as forum rule changes and forum appeal format changes we need to explain our actions. For example when we lock a topic that's causing arguments we generally comment on the topic saying something along the lines of; This topic has now been locked due to instigating and it's devolved into pointless bickering. What angers people is that they see situations as we're the parents who always get our way with the excuse, "Because I said so." Now obviously we don't do our jobs completely as individuals. We discuss, we re-read, we evaluate each other's work. Our actions will be justified in one way or another but sometimes not everyone will see it the same way. Sometimes we just need to be open to discussing rather than stomping our foot.
