Playing a Sprite who doesn't use money, despite most LOTC systems requiring money has been an interesting challenge.

I have been having more fun here lately than at any time in minecraft rp for the last decade (or more? my god what have I done?) If you aren’t having fun or it just becomes too much, take a break. Start a new character or change your playstyle. Figure out who the players are who take away your fun and avoid them. I always hear about how stressed out people are playing this game. Stop. You are doing it wrong. Life isn’t long enough to play games that aren’t fun for you. Once I gave up on politics, hegemony, land-ownership and lotc systems of any kind it was a lot more fun! Now I travel the realms making music with my friends. Find what is fun for you and then avoid the rest like the plague!

Fascinating post! I've spent some time in Yellowstone National Park and immediately recognized the geyserlands upon my first visit. I especially like the "paint pots" and cascades of little pools. If I was king of the forest, I would add some "prismatic pools" - (probably with colored rings of either concrete of terracotta) and a few other features of Yellowstone. So many great geothermal features available from nature! Keep up the good work! Super impressive!

Welcome friend! Take it slow! Enjoy yourself. Play. Don't feel like you have to learn everything right away. Stop and smell the roses and enjoy the views. Maybe you will own one of those castles someday! This might sound obvious, but play in a way that's fun for you. It's okay to experiment with your characters and find your voice. You are much less likely to burn-out if you are having fun. Good luck out there and HAVE FUN!

When I was a lad, all we had was wheat and pig meat. Last map, food was so boring. Infinite cooked potatoes from nowhere don't add to RP. Maybe this will help? Starvation RP? Food hoarding RP? I am excited to see how this will evolve! Craftable Mush-Burger asap please!

Am I reading it correctly that 123 people out of 280 who wanted to play on LOTC were denied? We turned away 44% of new potential players? Does anyone else see this as a failure of the whitelist application system? Nothing against our hardworking Community Staff who get to wade through the applications each day, but maybe something is wrong with the whitelisting process? Maybe the test isn't clear? Maybe people aren't understanding the value of being whitelisted beforehand and not wanting to put in the effort ahead of time? Do we have a list of why applications are being denied? I'm not sure what the problem is, but throwing away 44% of potential "customers" seems unsustainable.
