Ascanius , first born of his name on the dawn of the new year, 1500, held to the family of Dunlain. At birth Ascanius was held in great regard as the first son of Vyrnaris Dunlain & Teraselin Dunlain ( Malcath ). Ascanius was trained by his father Vyrnaris to be a great warrior, versed in both magic & blade. A crippling feature of the snow-elves is claimed to be their ability on foot, however, Vyrnaris decided to work his son to perfect such a flaw. While Vyrnaris trained his son for battle, his mother Teraselin tried to train her son in the way of magic, however it did not work. Her son was too focused on his swordplay. By the age of 35, Ascanius had all but mastered the way of the sword thanks to his father and the military. Leaving his hold, Ascanius along with his family made way to visit relatives on a form of 'vacation'. Midway through their journey, they were sacked by a group of dark elves, five to be exact. Their red eyes shined through the darkness almost like fire. They slashed the horses with their carbarum edged blades. In a flash, they slit the fraile old Teraselin's throat, and next they went for Vyrnaris. Vyrnaris killed only two of them before they cut his achilles heel, and then he fell. . . Ascanius attempted to fight the three remaining, however more showed up upon the horizon. As Ascanius backed away from his enemies in fear, his head was struck with something rock-like, and then he fell, backwards into the river below. Ascanius awoke washed up on a riverside, unsure of where he was and where he came from, all he retained was a locket with a name engraved "Ascanius Dunlain". Ascanius spent decades upon decades searching for who he was, however the hatred of snow-elves in many eyes had left him wounded in spirit. Proclaimed as a vagabond, Ascanius still searches for his history, however, he is not afraid of making a new history.
