if I could +1 this a million times I would, but alas I can only once. I 100% agree with everything listed here, both as an NL and as someone who has tried to reach out to NL’s after my time was up, it’s been annoying to say the least as even the most acitve of NL’s would rather I DM them on discord then anything else. I am not going to name names however when I was DM’d on discord asking to set up a deal with an influential player I said of course, but asked if they could bird me first irply and somehow that cut off the entire deal (I don’t know if they either just forgot or would rather talk to someone who’d respond to Discord). To say it’s annoying is to be understating it, it is inconvenient at best. I remember having a conversation with one of my friends in my DM’s, I was upset about something political on lotc and how much discordism was used and how I was failing because I tried to keep Discord use to a minimum and they responded “you know your way isn’t how you play the game” and it was perhaps the single most truthful thing i’ve heard. I miss the days of Narthok Rex when he’d suddenly show up at my gates, not even a scheduled meeting irply as he comes to do Diplomacy, that was the good days.

That’s odd because I got plenty of screenshots from the Petran Legion discord where you’re just being an ass about me for no sensible reason; also the one time we’ve interacted RPly since the Petran Legion days you’re coming up to me while I’m minding my own business AFK mining the Urguan gold mines + I was pretty much brand new off a hiatus then and was trying to get back into the swing of RP still.

I thought this was well known knowledge that Ferrymen where large factors of making Celia'nor a thing? But sure it wasn't a 'ferrymen only' thing, I remember vividly getting DM'd by Snelf's asking me to make a Snelf to help out Twi's rebels (which I did, and actually had plans to RP on outside of just getting hours up with a few other friends who I found also made Snelfs but it never went anywhere unfortunatley)

Okay but you gotta think of it from the PoV from someone who's only really played in Oren up to that point Rumors are a powerful tool, I had seen /literally/ no proof, evidence, anything whatsoever to back up "KP is a Pedophile" claims until /day of/ KP getting ToS'd and Nectorist couping (despite multiple times asking for such). I also knew at the time a lot of people hated Oren both IRPly and OOCly, so there would be chances that people would start these rumors to discredit KP and make more people want him off the throne. If I really, truly knew KP was, infact, a pedo, I wouldn't of been RPing in Oren when he was NL. Also, after said debacle you still invited me to join the reformed ISA after the Brothers war, so, you clearly didn't care back then if I knew or not.
