  1. That is a very strong and valid point. Maybe to ease the server into a stronger PK clause allow nations to have 1 or 2 offenses that if committed will justify a PK clause if killed/executed on their tile in relation to the crime. All pk offenses would require mod approval to ensure people don’t have absurd rules
  2. I understand your POV, but I think you misunderstood my example. That example was not for the players first time. Getting killed due to breaking the rules and dying due to lack of knowledge, stupidity, or whatever is justifiable. But if a person does it over and over I believe there’s just reason for a PK. Maybe we should talk about a scenario based PK Request system? Food for thought
  3. Background LoTC is full of many personas varying in acknowledgement and personal power they hold. At the same time, these personas die, but whether that is permanent relies on the player behind them. According to the rules of the server the only way you can be forced to PK is through suicide which is a great rule. BUT what is suicide on LoTC? Defining ‘Suicide’ on LoTC Through my time killing and being killed I have seen so many people literally commit suicide but not PK. Your probably wondering what I mean by that, and what I mean by that is say your group is running from a fight. One persona decides to stay behind, fending off the opposing group at the cost of their own life. Yet they will return to their group being praised as a hero as if they didn’t just die. In my opinion that is suicide, because that persona knew full well he was going to die staying behind alone. Suicide by definition is the intentional killing oneself, yet we allow personas to do so in other ways than by their own hand. Another scenario would be a ‘political’ suicide. Say a persona decides they are going to break a couple rules from a nation/race to purposefully spite them. The person knows full well that punishment for breaking these rules is death, yet does the action anyways. The next day they walk straight into the home of that nation/race once again knowing the group will kill their persona. Said persona doesn’t PK and instead continues to break the rules, and continues putting themself in places that they know will get them executed over and over. I’ve personally seen this happen many times, and it’s a plague to a community because it will never end until the person gets bored of dying. So my big question to debate is, “Should suicide (Other than through ones own hand) be allowed to continue without PK’s or should we refine the suicide rule.” This concludes my Ted Talk
  4. Orcs are doing the best they have been in a long time. Averaging 4-6% activity
  5. If anything join the server as one of the starter races, and then apply to become an Olog once that initial application is accepted. Ologs don’t speak much, but you’ll have to learn a bit of the orc language. (We will gladly teach you and even help with your English) Ologs are basically just 8-10 foot hunks of muscle and fat. When I first started playing with the orc race I didn’t know the language at all, and this race allowed me to slowly learn it over time as I focused more on reading other players dialogue than making my own.

  7. Gowlur Description The Gowlur’s are a hulking breed of monkey that range in size from four feet to a rumored twelve feet. Just like their varieing heights, the Gowlur has a wide range of weights ranging from 200 pounds to upwards of almost 2000 pounds. Gowlur’s tend to have long arms and legs while their body and head often take on most of their bulk. Pelts of a Gowlur bear a wide variety of colors ranging from Red, Blue, Green, Black, and rarely White. Some of the most defining features of the Gowlur are it’s protruding face and lack of a tail. These creatures are not friendly by any means, and are a true embodiment of the wild. Discovery As the orcs began to flee from the Arcas to the jungles of [Nuu'Plaz], they soon found the jungles already belonged to a more ferocious inhabitant. Within a few day’s the orcish camps began to report screams that’d chill the spine of any uruk, man, elf, or dwarf. The screams belonged to that of the Gowlur’s, and as time went on the Gowlur’s screams were soon joined by those of an orcish origin. Behavior Within the jungles of [Nuu'Plaz] Gowlur’s can often be seen stalking, sleeping, and climbing around in search of their food. Often sitting at the tops of the massive trees within the jungle, Gowlur’s rely on their eye sight for the majority of their actions. Being omnivores the Gowlur tends to prefer eating plants, but when their farseeing eyes cannot find any they turn to more ferocious ways to feed. Should one encounter a hungry Gowlur they’d quickly be met with the scream that has terrorized orcish camps since their first few day’s in [Nuu'Plaz]. Following the scream would be the presentation of the Gowlur’s set of fangs ranging in size from 1-6 inches. Lifespan Gowlur’s can live from anywhere between 100-150 years old though once a Gowlur reaches the ripe age of 100, their ability to climb quickly begins to falter. Bub’Gow The descendants that fear orcs often tell tales of their Ologs, the massive creatures that are capable of striking fear into anyone. But within the Eternal Uzg lies a folk tale of a legendary breed of Gowlur known as the Bub’Gow. Stories say that the Bub’Gow stalk their prey for days, torturing them with their screams until the time to strike is ideal. Screams of a Bub’Gow are often heard, shaking the earth and soul of every living thing within the jungles of [Nuu'Plaz], but no one has ever seen one…. Abilities: Uses brute strength Can find anything through it’s eyesight, unless COMPLETELY covered Scream will strike fear into any living creature Weaknesses: Extremely slow movements Relies on sight to function In the dark it’s the most vulnerable Prone to disease Redlines: 8-12 feet tall, 1200-2000 pounds Needs eyesight to perform any task Bigger it is the slower it’s movements Big enough to be a mount for an olog sized creature Nub’Gow Known for its terrorizing of orcish camps, the Nub’Gow is the most common of the Gowlur species. Unlike its mythical brother, the Nub’Gow species tends to roam in packs of 3-5. Like wolves these packs of Gowlur’s have an alpha, and in dire times the alpha has been know to sacrifice itself for the pack. The scream of a Nub’Gow is higher pitched than that of a Bub’Gow, and it’s movements are noticeably faster. Abilities: Tries to deceive its prey inorder prior to its pack attacking Can find anything through it’s eyesight, unless COMPLETELY covered Screams may not scare a player, but will draw their attention Weaknesses Relies in sight to function If separated from the pack Nub’Gow tend to shut down Extremely vulnerable in the dark Prone to disease Redlines: 6-8 feet tall, 800-1200 pounds Needs eyesight to perform any task Faster than a Bub’Gow but still sluggish in it’s movements Big enough to be mounted by humans/elf sized creatures Mini’Gow Found within the caves of the [Nuu'Plaz]’s jungles, is the rabid Gowlur known as the Mini’Gow. Tiny but mighty, this species of Gowlur thrives in the dark finding and eating all forms of life within their caves. Mini’Gow are known to have anywhere between 1-12 within their packs in a cave. The scream they offer is the most high pitched, and when multiple scream at once in close proximity orcs have been known to go deaf. Abilities: Attacks like a rabid dog using hit and run tactics Nocturnal Fastest but weakest of the Gowlur’s Deafening scream when done in groups Weaknesses: Extremely vulnerable in light As flammable as a leaf Bleeding won’t stop unless done by player Redlines: 4-6 feet tall, 200-800 pounds Needs eyesight to perform any task Extremely fast but weak Big enough to be mountain by halfling, goblin, and dwarf sized creatures Player mounted Mini’Gow cannot utilize deafening scream ability ‘Tameability’ On the rare chance you survive an encounter with a Gowlur the ability to tame them is possible. Should the eyesight of the Gowlur disappear, so would it’s ability to function on its own. Through persistence you can become the ‘eyes’ of the Gowlur, but should you become the eyes, it’s hands and feet become yours. Being mounted on a Gowlur, you cannot not do anything other than guide the blinded creature. Should you start doing another action aside from talking on the back of this monkey you may quickly be dismounted without warning. Taming/Mount Redlines: Requires the creature be blinded temporarily or permanently Cannot do any combat or non-combat actions while mounted and moving besides talking. If stationary you can do non-combat emotes without worry. Will not kill or harm for its rider, but can pin players down, if rider dismounts Gowlur releases the player Can’t do anything on its own beside non-combat emotes when blinded without a mounted rider Will flee from/attack rider and all other players if sight is regained Can only be tamed through roleplay in an event Mechanics: Can be represented using a horse or item given by ET. Role played through environmental emotes not as a playable character.
  8. Be gone homophobes

  9. Was always intrigued by blood magic, and this seems like a way to bring in a lot of cool rp rather than combat magic. The fact sacrifices must be alive is even better because it means the player gets to witness something truly amazing.
  10. I recommend joining the LoTC discord and making a request in the skin request section there
  11. How should a group dedicated to teaching players CRP work? Should players be allowed to join this group as well as ct members? How should the selection process go if they’re allowed to join? Should we host lessons or should players request them? What should these training sessions look like? 1. in my opinion, for a group dedicated to crp, it’d have to work in a way that allows the teacher to have some fun, and give the player going through the school some incentive. That incentive for the teacher could be the fact they get to beat new players, and for the new players they could potentially get their first role play weapon. 2. Players 100% should be allowed to join this group, so that the different groups teaching can all learn from eachother as they work together to teach new players. As the players learn in a unheated environment how other nations crp, they can take notes from eachother and better their own player bases on the side. 3. The Selection process should implement a scenario, be it generated from the team or players. The applicant would have to prove their ability to crp the give and take aspect of this type of role play while showing off their ability to crp. Winning or losing the scenario shouldn’t matter in anyway, the best part of crp is never knowing if your going to win or not until a couple emotes go by at the minimum. 4. Both! If players are able to join this team of people, it’d allow for them to host lessons within nations with ease as events. Allowing players to request lessons also gives staff a chance to see if a new/old player who has power gaming accusations is trying to better themselves. Also not every nation has people dedicated to teaching crp, so it’d allow players in those nations to find lessons easier. 5. In my dream world, these lessons begin first by the student (Who requested lessons) choosing a weapon from a list, be it a dagger, sword, axe, or quarterstaff the team member will provide a simple item representing it. Then the teacher uses that same weapon, players who wish to join this team can apply for certain weapons they believe their skill is best used. Then the fight ensues, with the teacher helping teach the new player emote by emote until there is a victor. The teacher would give a lot of ooc feedback, and help players improve their emotes Quality aswell even if they didn’t powergame. At the end of the session or sessions if the teacher believes they are capable they allow the player to keep their weapon. Event training would be conducted with self provided rp weapons. this is my two cents, I Hope yal enjoyed my ted talk and I’ll see you next week.
  12. Great shiz homies, look forward to future posts
  13. The challenge my olog issued is still out there! Just know, I am 100% willing to die to some fair crp, but if you half-ass your emotes and pg, don’t expect me to reward you for it!

  14. Adds the ability to progress Olog persona’s by so much. Not only that, when progressing their character it also adds new problems for an olog player to rp, and the best part about rping an olog is rping your problems.
  15. Looks amazing homes, like absolutely god tier
  16. (Not trying to be toxic) But having the mindset of wanting crp over pvp on a rp server is bad?
  17. Maybe it just won’t be called as much :), it’s a win win ngl
  18. Whole lotta information, I am liking these monthly meetings though. Learned a lot sitting through it.
  19. Lüga’Gorkil the Scarred grunted approvingly as he read the document
  20. Would take some work, but I could see this being a good way to fix issues people run into with those races, and if it were to happen, them races would need to be working together to make it happen
