Out-Of-Character Information

The simplest section of the application. Answer these questions so we can get to know you a bit more. Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication!

What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: - Altosh
How old are you?: - 18
Have you ever roleplayed on a minecraft server before? If so, where?: - Nope. Just starting to get into the legit multiplayer scene. Was using a cracked client since beta 1.7 to be honest (sorry notch)

Have you applied to this server before? (Please link past applications): - Nope

How did you hear about us?: - Oddly enough, a video appeared on 'Recommended for you' on youtube
What do you think the server will be like? - From what I have seen as a WS it seems quite fun actually. A system more based off of story then just clicking with whoever has the more enchanted diamond equips.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yep.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: - I quite like the rules involving the Mechanical Standard. It kinda inhibits powergaming in a way. Plus it will not result in someone 'tossing a grappling hook' to scale a 100ft wall or something.

Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?:- Yep. Fair rules. Also they keep every person from going around as a psychotic killer to pass boredom (unoriginality, yay)

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so maybe we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules):- I understand the rules I am just not a fan of characters that die in RP being able to respawn in the Cloud Temple and just come back. Maybe make it a bit more complex?

Edric can trace his lineage 4 generations back to the rebuilding of the Whispering Isles colony. His great grandfather served as the captain of the guards to King Edmund. Past the king's death, his son, Edric's grandfather held a place within the Lord Perea's council as both he and his father were in the late king's trust. Due to the sudden strain of raiders from the sea, Edric's grandfather was assigned to learn reading and writing as well as become an apprentice shipwright. He went on to design and lead the construction of many ships for the Whispering Order. When the isle begun to fall apart, he stole a ship and sailed off with who would be Edric's grandmother and a crew composed of his fellow worksmen. In his old age, he past on many of the skills he learned in his life time to his sons, one of which would be Edric's father.
Edric's father sailed off to safety in new lands. Capitalizing on the large size of the ships stores and crew, he took to smugling. His uncle often complained of the choice feeling they should just settle down and return under Oren's power. Feeling the freedom the open sea brought him, Edric's father would not bend. Fastfoward once again, we find that Edric's father had met his mother in a port town. After spending a few months docked there, he found love but also the authorities had found him. Giving his life to save Edric's mother, she and his uncle barely made it out of the port.
Edric was concieved months later. Raised by his uncle, who oft told stories of his father and lineage, he also learned to read and write as well as the basics of navigation and ship design/repair. Edric became was amazed but also developed a fear of the undead due to the stories of the Whispering Isles. Discovering a love for exploration, he set off on his own at the age of 15, gathering his things and leaving a small note for his family. He pushed off a small dinghy and sailed off into the night.
The exploration did not last long as he was low in supply. After a week, he was picked up by a rogue ship, known for piracy. The captain, originally planning to use Edric as a slave, took a certain liking to him. Edric was kept out of most of the dirty work and maintained the ship. After a little more than 2 years, the ship meets its end to a raid by the Emperer of Oren's ships. Edric survives, and flees. Staying on Anthos surviving for about a month. That was when everything changed. The Cloud Temple fell and he had to survive as well. Edric descended into the Fringe.

What are they like? (personality): - Edric is calm and collected. At times of great joy (or alcohol), he may show a spontaneous, zany side. Often sarcastic and brash but, may turn that off in times of grave seriousness. Those that are close to him know him as a kind person. He loves learning and exploration.

What are their ambitions?: - Believes he may find power under Oren's empire if his uncle is to be believed. Though, he is a wayward wanderer. He carries with him a recommendation letter addressing his grandfather as a fully trained shipwright, signed by Lord Perea which he believes he can pass off as his own. (Though it is worn down and a century old. Also signed by a dead man.)

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): -
Strengths: Ability to read, write; shipwright; ability to navigate; mechanically inclined

Weaknesses: Terrible combatant; light weight; poor stamina; fears the undead; slow swimmer

Give us a description of how they look?: - Young, 5' 10". Thin with an average build. Wears a bandanna, goggles, an off-beige coat, blue tunic, and carries a backpack with little inside.

Please give us a screenshot of your character’s skin: -
