A Delver Notice

 Share

Recommended Posts

Men in the robes of the Arcane Delvers could be seen putting up flyers around the temporary city replacing the capital of Malinor and Lenniel, the following being written

"People of Malinor, the Arcane Delvers have heard of your troubles, and are not just going to sit by like before. If you are misplaced by these events and left homeless, come to Ac'Talareh for shelter. We are currently prepared to house nine individuals without any application required. You will recieve housing, a bed, food, and protection. Make haste to Ac'Talareh, we can only hold nine individuals at the moment."

The posters would be stamped with the delver seal, the writing glowing on the paper.

Nug creeps past the poster as the sun begins to rise in early dawn, skimming over it before slinking off.

Ausar stops as he looks over at the freshly posted parchment in the temporary city. He reaches his right hand out as he grabs it, ripping it from the wall where it was tacked up at. His eyes scan through the words with relative ease as he lowers the paper.

"So the Delvers are now attempting to bolster their numbers by luring in the homeless? How degrading."

He crumbles the parchment in his hand before chucking it in a nearby fire pit as it's instantly engulfed in flames.

Turning as he then walks off and around the freshly placed tents that now litter the landscape.

Mythras snorts. "Delvers are arrogant, leave it to them to 'help'. I suppose I'd better begin taking my paladin job more seriously, less those fools blow something up..."

Vulnir takes out the parchment he found back at camp as the cart clack-clack-clacked down the road.

"Hmm... if I need shelter on my way back, maybe I'll stop in and try my luck."

He puts the parchment away again and snaps the reins, urging the mule to go faster.

The wind carries one of these fliers over the Haelun'or walls. Ellir picks it up, reads it, and purses her lips. "How shameful, that these arcane meddlers would hover over the victims of catastrophe like vultures, ready to fight over the remains of the day, A disgrace, even for uncultured lessers. Why, we would never do something this low in elcihi'thilln."

*a tumbleweed brushes by*

"Maybe we should..."

Karin stops by the note in reads, shaking her head in shame to be one of those fools. She gently takes the note down, placing it in her robes as she saunters off.

Asthil Haumel's face contorts into moderate enmity.

"So the mage-barons extend a gilded hand to us? I wonder how many of the people they shall take in had relatives who were slain by the Delvers during their invasion."
