[Closed] Community Feedback Survey #4

If it pleases you, I shall change this to, 'Simple and Short' and 'Complex and Long'.

I don't think it matters too much, I was just explaining what I presume Aislin was suggesting. He probably views it as a bigger deal than I do, so he might think it would be best. Not entirely sure.

Also, in retrospect, my response may seem a bit passive aggressive. Sorry if it was perceived as such, as that was not my intent.

Just a little update :: I've modified the answers to what was being pointed out they should be. This is the MA and the Antag question.

I remember being informed that The Undead were staff directed or that they had scripted battles and such where they were going to win or lose no matter what and so and so. And the essence of the Black Scourge was to be playerbased.

I can tell you first hand that is false <3 The final battle to tell if the undead were going to follow us to the new map was completely real had we failed undead may still be around too this day.

Hah~ I know that, I was there for the final battle, spying through the little cracks into the hall were all the heroes were gathering to go to the Nether and drop this hammer into whatever pit it was.

In regards to Sparoe's survey, I would say less open ended questions. It takes a long time to fill in, and most likely less will fill it in because it'll take time. So although you get less data, on you get more people. I would say the format used by Lego's one is ideal, with open ended questions for the most part optional. Even though there are some that are required. I don't really want feel overwhelmed with those large boxes.

Edit: Please also add an "indifferent" option for those of us who don't really care either way. Or "other" if their answer doesn't really fit into the category's given.

I'll be sure to add N/A options and Other options in the next survey.

I say Quality > Quantity. You get more information with open-ended questions.

Well actually the Undead won that event but GMs decided to overrule that and get rid of us anyway.

Sure you can collect more detailed information. But with less people filling it in, it'll not be as representative of the community's views. Thereby getting rid of the point of the survey. Especially one that's meant to be a "community feedback survey." That shows the whole community's views, not a small portion. Not that many people fill them in anyway online + real life. It's more about striking a balance between quantity and quality.

If the community cared enough to fill in the survey, they'd do it. No matter if it was 5 questions or 50. It took me 30 minutes, and maybe that's not fair because I knew the questions. But I've heard people say it didn't take them an hour. I don't see an issue with the length. And even then, anyone can find 1 hour to fill in a survey (if they want to).

I'll probably take your advice on the next survey and see how it goes, see how the staff teams like the feedback and whatnot. It doesn't hurt to try new things. And if that fails, we can always revert back to this way. And if that works, we'll see more like it.

:)
