"Fum'l ya i' man o' house now...Fum'l ya i' man o' house now...Fum'l ya i' man o' house now...Fum'l ya i' man o' house now...Fum'l ya i' man o' house now...Fum'l ya i' man o' house now...Fum'l ya i' man o' house now..."

Those words echoed through the Willowbottom Burrow. Fumble's pig looked worriedly at his master... who now paced back and forth through the once cozy home. A family of great prosperity, richness, and adventure once filled these halls. Now all that was left was a child who was utterly confused. His father's goodnight words of the night before echoed in his mind. The man o' wha' ? The man o' da house? Da's nu's! Me is only 'obbit in the burrow! Not even paying attention to his pig Fumble dumped the cabinets open, dropping all of his sketches onto the floor. Papers and tools scattered the room as the tinkerer was hard at work. The dust cleared and now a small, life sized scare-crow of nuts, bolts, wooden planks, pumpkins, and hay sat before the fire-place. A sculpture of Bolo, the child's father, now stood in place of the empty hole in Fumble's heart. The boy began treating the statue as his own father, trying to fill the gaping cavern of sadness and confusion in his heart. A small bit of insanity filled the burrow.
