What is your opinion of the dwarves?

Where are they? Why is it I only see short Humans past the south river? What happened to Dwarven culture?

What is your opinion of the dwarven leaders?

I don't know, I don't see them often.

What is your opinion of the current roleplay the dwarves offer?

What roleplay? Past a select few events I have to ask... what roleplay? Shouting and swearing doesn't count. Half the Dwarven vocabulary seems to just be swearing and shouting, without actual thought or manner put into anything. I was under the impression Dwarves were suppose to be pretty smart... given how they have worked out how to make colossal stone structures, machinery and tools. I thought they were better than technologically advanced barbarians.

What would you like to see from the dwarves?

Culture, peace RP, something other than war. It is the Orcs that are embroiled in a constant history of blood, not Dwarves. Dwarves are known for being great engineers, miners and merchants. Tinkers, thinkers, they even have their own faith (to which I've been trying to force the Dwarves into utilizing more with some resent RP that some Dwarves who read this will know about for an event). Right now, they seem to be played almost as though they were Nords, not the great kingdom builders they are known to be.

What would you do to improve/change it for the better?

What I would do?

I would start by focusing on your playerbase, your playerbase by the looks of things suffers from the same problem Alras' did, as well as many other nations in the past in that you do have a playerbase of quite some size when it comes to a battle, but not at any other times. You need to focus on gaining or encouraging existing Dwarves to take up RP outside of Raids and war.

Next, focus on culture, add some depth to RP to keep things interesting, perhaps introduce some sort of a class system or hierarchy that pushes Dwarves to want to be at the top of it. Or to advance up the chain.

I would say you could achieve this through what I would like to call the four pillars system. This system I am thinking off the top of my head is almost like a state ran guild qaud, that divides the Dwarven population up into different roles.

You would have the miners, the craftsmen and the workers under the pillar of labour, the engineers, scholars, mages and thinkers under the pillar of Knowledge, and the Warriors, the blacksmiths  and the soldiers under the pillar of Iron and Merchants, priests, piety members etc, along with the royal bloods under the pillar of Gold.

These castes, almost, would define the Dwarven way of life. Dwarves you see, can't build all these structures and monuments as well as hone their skills without being defined and organized into almost a colony of ants really. With each person having their role and purpose to fill a specific need. The iron needs to flow in from somewhere, the riches need to be processed somehow, knowledge and teaching of the next generation needs to be secured some way etc...

There is more to this idea, but this is what I can come up with off the top of my head.

Keep it simple and nice please.

Your wish is granted.

1. Need to be more active

2. Need them to be more seen/heard on forums and IG.

3. Lacking, with the exception of some, such as Farren

4. More Culture. More Activity. More greed. More 'Lets go capture the Golemsmiths that aren't dwarves' :3

What is your opinion of the dwarves?

Depopulated. Possibly too war orientated.

What is your opinion of the dwarven leaders?

They get a lot of flak but they do geniunely work hard to better the Kingdom both IC and OOC. Going to war with Oren was a dumb OOC move but the only sensible IC move from the dwarven perspective. So whether it was right depends on which you put first. That being said, it's making a lot of fun RP and battles for Oren and Urguan. I do implore Oren not to be too harsh on the dwarves when Oren wins. We don't want to cripple the dwarven OOC recovery effort.

What is your opinion of the current roleplay the dwarves offer?

Depopulated and inactive. There's very little RP in the dwarven city. The way I think to fix that is to give new dwarves more options and freedom to make their own RP (the dwarven area is very locked up so you're very limited if you aren't part of the dwarven leadership group, this needs to change to promote non-leader dwarves to RP by themselves rather than needing a leaderdwarf around), but mostly the dwarves need a massive recruitment drive.

What would you like to see from the dwarves?

Numbers, city activity. And that's not something the dwarf leaders can just make happen.

More 'Lets go capture the Golemsmiths that aren't dwarves' :3

The dwarves have a standing agreement with both of them.

I think I preferred dwarf roleplay back when it was more clan-based rather than centralized.

So in Asulon when there was a hold system?

Except such a hold system can no longer work really... given the well... lack of populace to sustain such a thing. You would fall to the same issue the Elves face, three seperate populations instead of one because of subrace diversity and isolation.

Updated it to add in one more question. Your feedback is greatly appriciated

I liked the hold system. Whilst it spread out RP, it allowed each clan to RP independently of the others and build on their own cultures. These days all the dwarves are stuck together, and you don't see as much diversity of culture. I don't think you really see much clan-based roleplay at all in Anthos.

What about where a clan is incharge of a certian aspect of roleplay, like one clan does the mining the other does the lumberjacking and farming?
