  I completely agree. Dwarves are known now for their trolling and going to war. While war and battles can't be avoided all the time, we should use the time between PVP for genuine dwarven activities, rather than preparing for war or being "trolly." Our reputation has decreased dramatically, our players are leaving for other servers and races, and new dwarf players rarely remain active. We need to change this. As for what DestroyerBravo said about the Stark Law, I agree with that too. If we actually enforced the Stark Law, our players would be discouraged from trolling. I know people are making efforts to keep dwarven RP going, and I'm not trying to say that those people are doing nothing, but we need all of our players on board, not just a select group of players.

Remember the stark law anyone? Anyone? No?

Never really liked the "Stark Law" due to mostly everyone just breaking it and nobody enforcing it because there was just too much of it happening. Honestly there is no real way to stop the trolls, or generally 'bad roleplayers' unless they are willing to sit down and follow what is thrown at them. If everyone follows the guidelines (which isn't possible) then we are good, if not then the only thing we can do as a community is to make the environment more friendly for the race and hope people adapt to it.

 

Also it isn't really the wars, but the attitudes and behavior of those in the race. Most times I really just see dwarves on for pvp and nothing else. Over the last few weeks I have went to Kal'Ithrun to find either 1 or none there. Its a shame that people seem to not be really enthusiastic on roleplaying other than just getting on for battles and nothing else.

I agree, this is the real thing we need to start working on. I encourage any dwarves to begin greeting people in the city as they pass by. Ask them a few questions maybe, just to keep a constant flow of RP going rather than jumping around aimlessly. If everyone starts doing it, it encourages newer players to follow suit.

 

That's the trouble with this constant PvP system we have going right now. If a fight breaks out, it ends up dragging in almost anybody who's inside the city. That's why I think it's really important we try to bring this war to an end if we can.
