~*~<History>~*~

Gi'Garun was born to his parents whilst travelling in a pine forest in the land of Asulon. He was raised in Malinor and was never blessed with any siblings. His parents were farmers and they each taught Garun different skills. Araya taught him how to carve objects out of wood found only on the ground, whereas his father taught him how to wield a blade and a bow.

At the age of 7 and 10 years, Garun's parents died from an illness that had been given to them secretly by a rogue elf from the south. Garun was grieved by this, and soon sold his family home, saying goodbye to his only friend Finrod Alderion. As he was leaving the gates of his home, he turned back to see Finrod setting his home alight. This only angered him more, and fled, swearing an oath that he would never speak to Finrod again.

For a long time the young elf wandered, and hid aboard a human ship, on the journey to Anthos. Once arriving in Anthos Garun got himself a job as a farmer, and became very close to the crops and the land he tilled. He began to respect that which had been given to him, continuing his childhood love of nature. Garun worked on the fields for many years, until he was accused by another worker of stealing his wages and kicked out.

He wandered for a long time, unable to afford a home, until he finally came across an elf called Indriil. They quickly became friends and travelled to Abresi, the human capital, with another elf called Rosemarie. In the city, Indriil told Gi that he was a Dedicant of the Druidic Order, and explained about the order's duty to serve and protect nature. This interested him greatly, and Indriil promised to take him to the Grove, which he did.

After many attempts to get an interview with the Apple Druid Leyun, whom was Headteacher at the time, Garun finally got accepted into the order as a Dedicant. He quickly made many friends within the Mali'ame city of Luminaire, one of them being an elf by the name of Ralof. Ralof owned a large home in the canopy district, however he also had a smaller home near the front gate. He gave the home to Garun for free, and Garun was very grateful for this. Sadly, Ralof sold his house one day and disappeared without a trace, yet Garun kept the house.

Gi's Dedicancy lasted many years, and he completed various tasks for the Guides and Arch Druids that gave them to him. During this time, Luminaire was corrupted by the Black Scourge of the North and he, along with the rest of the mali'ame, fled to the nearby settlement of New Malinor.

One day, Garun went with Arch Druid Leyun and a Delver Regent called Toby Williams into Luminaire, in search of the Source of the Corruption. They were ambushed by cultists and the Scourge however, and Leyun managed to escape. The Dedicant and the Regent fought against the northerners for hours, but there were too many. Toby was struck down by a bolt of dark magic, and Garun was  frozen in one of the rivers, leaving him paralysed for months. Luckily, Princess Titania discovered him, and took him to New Malinor, where his taint was cured.

Garun soon moved to the Crossroads grove, with the rest of the Druid order, and after a couple more tasks, was taken to the attunement pool by Arch Druid Dain and attuned, taking on the totem of Pine.

The newly attuned Pine Druid, ventured to Leanniel, to assist with the growing of the new Mali'ame town. He grew himself a large pine tree, which opened up a burrow at it's roots, for him to live in. He soon grew a wall around his tree, to protect it from the various mages and cultists that roamed through Leanniel here and there.

One day, Dove Druid Elorna and Garun began to grow a grove in Leanniel, to help spread the teachings of Druidism and the Aspects. A moot soon occured, and it was decided that the order was to relocate to the Leanniel grove, in order to best protect the Druids. Elorna was soon promoted to the rank of Guide, and her and Garun worked tirelessly on the grove to get it ready for the order's move.

Another moot was held shortly after in the new moot room that Garun had made, and Elorna and himself were congratulated for the hard work they had put in to the Grove. A vote was held, and Garun was promoted to Guide. He then joined the large number of Druids that attended the moot, in eradicating a bloodshard that had been conjured up above Leanniel by the Scourge, bringing peace to the town once more.

The battle for Anthos had long been raging against the Black Scourge of the North. One day the Scourge delivered a fatal blow to Leanniel, causing the trees to wither and die, and the inhabitants to flee and take refuge in the Conclave of Malin. Garun, alongside his fellow Druids, remained in the Leanniel grove, struggling to hold the corruption at bay.

For almost a year, the Druids of Leanniel faught against the taint of the Scourge, before the armies of Oren drove the Northerners back, freeing the city of their grasp. Though this came as a relief to Garun, the victory would be in vain.

The peoples of Anthos, alongside the order of the Golden Lance, had discovered and unlocked the door to the realm of the Fringe, and Garun followed his order through the gateway and into the new land. He helped to grow the grove in the Dwarves' city of Kal'Arkon, and also consistently returned to Anthos, to assist with the cleansing of Leanniel's remaining taint. One day, the final battle of Anthos was fought beyond the gate to the Fringe. The almighty floods came, and the way was shut, leaving Anthos sealed forever. This saddened Gi'Garun greatly, as he longed to walk the paths of Luminaire once more, and sit in the library of the Mother Grove.

Despite the final events of Anthos, the Druid Order was buzzing with activity. A grand tree was grown in the Arkon Grove, and a moot room had been blessed within it's canopy. Archdruid Callax called a moot, and this moot consisted of the Age of Taxes (as recorded in the Druid History). After saving Shroom Druid Milo from a heavy debt of 10 minas, Gi'Garun returned to his seat, only to hear of Frost Druid Dain's resignation. Frosty deemed Garun his successor, and he accepted the role gratefully.

Gi'Garun's hatred for the Mali'Aheral increased steadily throughout this time. Callax and him had been kindly given a plot of Dwarven land by the Lord Regent Dizzy Irongrinder, as the location for a new grove. The stubbornness of the High Elves set in, and the land was then denied by them, with petty reasoning. The Aheral's government of the Mali'Ame had also aggravated him. He had been allowed into the Eternal Library by Lelien, whom he had known since New Malinor, and had acquired a small deal of respect for her. Her death then snuffed out the last bit of respect that he had for the Aheral, and has never been the utmost polite to them since.

As the age of the Fringe came to an end, Garun awoke with his fellow Druids in the land of Thales. He travelled with the Arum, Apple and Daisy Druids and found the perfect spot for a grove. They set to work, and soon one had been grown. Gi set about nurturing a beautiful tree and an attunement pool as well as resuming the teaching of Dedicants.

The age of Thales was as short lived as that of the Fringe, and before long, the Pine Druid found himself aboard the great Druid vessel, along with the rest of his kin, sailing westwards towards the new lands.

Upon arriving in Athera, Garun focussed on keeping the Order in check after the transition to the new continent. It wasn't long before his mentor, the Solstice Druid Callax, passed on to enjoy an eternal rest with the Aspects. This saddened him, and he planted a birch tree in the father Grove's clearing in commemoration of his old friend.

Months passed, and the order stabilised. Garun was becoming weary, and one day he called a moot. After delivering a speech about staying true to the order, he retired, naming the Sequoia Druid as his successor. Lillith held a vote, and he was deemed a Hierophant, a title he accepted gratefully.
