Heff 2460 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Unforgiving Cold The Past: The Structures appeared at specific spots. One in New York, one in San Fran, Montreal, Vancouver, Mexico City, Brazil, Moscow, Sochi, Rome, London, Cape Town, Cairo, Tokyo, New Delhi, Riyadh, Honolulu, and finally in Beijing. The Structures varied in size, some as tall as sky scrapers, others the size of a bus. They landed with such force that much of each city was leveled or turned to ruins. The respective countries responded with military, medical aid, but some just left their civilians to figure out what the Structures were themselves. It wasn't long before the Crack occurred. The Crack reffered to many things, the crack in society, the crack in the structures, but mainly the Crack in what was known. Beams of ice swept through the lands as each Structure cracked open and exploded into a fury of snow. Within weeks the entire globe was covered in ice and snow, the Oceans were freezing up and almost all remnants of government and order FELL. To top it all off, beings (assumed to be) from Space began to be spotted all across the Globe... thats when each country went dark, one by one they lost communications with the rest of the world... the aliens began to prowl the world, their goal unknown but their carnage feared. The Present: (1 Year Later) You are a survivor, living in the snow-covered New York City. You must fend for yourself, make and break alliances, scavenge for food, choose to run or fight, but most of all you have to SURVIVE. The Rules: -You must allow the Mods to act. Their word is final. -Do not find OP things randomly, if you think it might give you an unfair advantage make a mod request in your post asking if you found the object/goal you want -No Powergaming -No Meta-Gaming -If you think it might be not allowed, don't do it If You Wish To Be A Mod: Shoot me a PM and we can discuss if you are worthy. He had been working on a book about a nuclear war and he and his girlfriend where evacuating the city when the Crack occurred. His girlfriend and him were stuck in her apartment when an alien whom they called Hunters, burst in. Him and his girlfriend became separated and now a year later he cannot find her. Age: 32 Appearance: Starting Location In NYC: East Harlem Former Occupation: Private security for a nightclub and part time postal worker. Short Backstory: Greg was on his way home from work when it happened. His first act was to get back home. When he got there he found his house to have been cleaned out, luckily he had a few things in his safe, there he found his gun and his life savings, he took what he could and got on his bike to head out of town. Luck wasn't on his side as the bike ran out of gas. A year has passed and now he finds himself holed up in an abandoned laundry store, using the heavy machinery as barricades.
