The Proposition

The following letter is sent out to all inhabitants and members of the Conclave, with the exception of Aislinn.

"Dear Mali, a dire task is ahead of us. The Scourge repeatedly strike blows with the people of the Conclave. And we stand helpless. I and few others can repel the Harbingers, but not the endless amount of cultists that come knocking on our doors, their armor clad in blasphemous runes and iron swords stained with blood.

I call for a reform of government, for now and until the North is eradicated from this earth. The Order of the Golden Owl will take effect sometime in the next elven week. Branches will spread from the reign of Malin to the Kingdom of Oren. For the matter of the Conclave, I request full integration of the Golden Owl Guard system. Few times do we suffer attacks from mortal allies, but rather Scourge from the North.

There are four ranks in this system. Caer, Duelist, User, and Evader. The Evader is trained in the arts of quick movement but effecient combat, suitable for defeating large foes and/or magical entities. The User will then train in the arts of Fi'hiiran'acalae, always chosen by the Caer. The Duelist is the final non-leader rank, trained heavy in both arts for the perfect, ideal soldier. The system was invented for the sole purpose of combating entities that would be inefficient fighting in heavy armor.

Fi'hiiran'acalae is an art, without going into details, that can combat the magic of the Scourge. It has been hundreds of years since word of the art has gotten out, but nevertheless, the world needs it now, and we believe it is time to announce it.

The system, paired up with fixes inside the city, would prevent Cultists from corrupting our city and Harbingers from spreading their absolute filth. We shall now move on to how the economy can handle these changes. Obviously, all Mali cannot be drafted into this program. All Mali unwilling or unable to perform the tasks of the Golden Owl may be drafted into a labor force, tasked with mining and foresting. This would provide the adequate lumber and stone needed to support the city, and the military. All excess would be sold to Oren and/or surrounding Kingdoms to boost the economy. A tiny workforce would be on the lake, fishing for food.

All in all, the system is guaranteed to create a sustainable economy and society for our people, combating the powers of the Northmen while we do so. With the current system, we are plagued by no regulation of economy, and constant attacks from the Northmen. With the integration of elite fighters and Fi'hiiran'acalae users, the Scourge will not stand a threat to the great nation of Malin's People, the Conclave. -Valmuel Elibar'acal, Leader of the 2nd Branch."

*A large amount of cultist in their shrine laugh as they took this message from a conclavian* "Look at this pitiful attempt of defense, do they not realize that some other nation can take them over with just 4 men?"

((Really? I specifically said I sent it to Conclave members so that Antags couldn't say they "read it" somewhere. Not 30 minutes later they "stole" it from a Conclavian and read a detailed plan I really want secret for at least a day. Jeez.))

Haadi Mubdee, Magister of the Conclave glances over the letter one day whilst lazing around inside of the guardhouse.

"Oh, look at this.. it would seem that tha' Elves are finally takin' some action." It says to itself.

It takes the letter and proceeds to return North.

------------------------

The Harbinger sheds its illusionary disguise upon arriving at the deep North, it now discusses the Conclave's plan with Harbingers and cultists alike.

"'"Every last one of these fools shall die!" Harbinger Oblitus shrieks to the army of cultists and servants, sending a frostfire ball aimlessly through the air in the Conclave's direction.

((Just thought i'd give Aventus' statement a bit more credibility. I am infact the Conclave Magister on my disguise and I would prefer that this post be respected and not treated as a silly old troll or BS post.))

Neci would nod her head a few times as she adds, "Maybe there is a way I can actually help my people..."
